His Name is Phil Trenary: Prominent White Memphis Businessman (Who Dedicated His Life to Elevating Black-Owned Businesses) Murdered by Black Male

Shot. [Memphis Pushes To Level The Playing Field For Black Entrepreneurs: “We can never be the kind of community that we want to be until we have the minority firms have a much larger piece of the pie.”, Huffington Post, 6-24-18]
Institutional obstacles have hindered growth, particularly for businesses competing with white-owned firms, said Phil Trenary, the chamber’s president. Those hurdles have included hard-to-navigate requirements to become a city-certified minority- or women-owned business. To address that, the chamber recently created a universal, streamlined application process, and later this year it plans to launch an online portal to connect small, minority-owned firms with contractors and companies looking to fulfill diversity requirements.
Dedicate your life and your fortune to uplifting blacks in Memphis, only to be "randomly" murdered by a black male while... walking in Memphis
The chamber also started a mentor-protege program last year. Thirty-two small firms have connected with more established businesses through the program, and Trenary said some of those companies are already seeing increases in the number of contracts they’ve landed.
Trenary said the new programs are helping break down old barriers.
“We can never be the kind of community that we want to be until we have the minority firms have a much larger piece of the pie,” Trenary said.
Similar economic development efforts have sprouted and died on the vine in the past. But Trenary said he believes the latest wave is likely to affect real change because the public and private sectors are finally aligned in the goal to help minority- and women-owned businesses.
The reason it’s going to work this time is because the business community has come together and agreed to lead,” he said.
Chaser. [Phil Trenary, head of Greater Memphis Chamber, killed in downtown shooting, Memphis Commercial Appeal, 9-28-18]:
The president and CEO of the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce was killed Thursday night in a shooting on South Front Street in Downtown Memphis. The death of Philip H. Trenary, 64, was confirmed by the Chamber and Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland.
"Like many of you, I'm shocked at the senseless loss tonight of Phil Trenary, a leader in our community. More than anything in these hours, my thoughts are with his family and Chamber colleagues," Strickland said.
Sometime before 8 p.m., Memphis police responded to the shooting at 579 South Front St. Police described a suspect as a black male with dreadlocks, wearing a blue shirt and driving a white four-door Ford F150.
At the time of the shooting, the Chamber was hosting its annual 4-mile race, Move it Memphis, at nearby Loflin Yard.
Memphis business and civic leaders reacted with disbelief to the news of Trenary's death.“Phil was not only a business giant, but he was really part of the heart and soul of the business community. He did everything he could to make sure we had a vibrant community,” said Carolyn Hardy, past chairwoman of the Memphis Chamber and CEO of Chism Hardy Investments. “The loss to this community is huge. It will be felt in every section, whether philanthropic, educational or business. He was a true visionary and he really believed in who we could become.”
Michael Ugwueke, CEO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, called Trenary a leader in the community and said his loss will reverberate throughout the region.
“This is completely senseless,”  Ugwueke said. “He believed in Memphis. I can’t believe this has happened.  I don’t think we can recover easily from this tragedy.”
Trenary has led the chamber since 2014, three years after stepping down as president and CEO of Pinnacle Airlines Corp.
Trenary founded Exec Express Airlines, which would become Lone Star Airlines, in Oklahoma in 1984 and came to Memphis in 1997 to run a regional airline that morphed into Pinnacle, a $1 billion, 7,700-employee regional airline operator.
AAfter he left Pinnacle in 2011, Trenary, an Oklahoma native, led EmergeMemphis, an incubator for entrepreneurs and startup businesses, when it was between permanent directors, and he consulted for University of Memphis interim president Brad Martin on projects that included a College of Education strategic plan and a proposed shift in management of Audubon Park from the city.
No matter how much time, effort, and money you spend to uplift Africans in America (dedicating your life and fortune to improving their lives exclusively), they'll never build monuments in your memory, or name buildings/streets in your honor.

In fact, like Mr. Trenary, you're just another white man hoarding all the privilege, keeping intact structural inequality and implicit bias negatively impacting the black community.

I hear that the Memphis, TN Chamber of Commerce is in need of leadership types for the position(s) of President/CEO. The qualification include strong sociopolitical beliefs which would allow one to not connect with the black community while simultaneously acting on their behalf. Other qualities are high expectations from low-IQ people and a firm belief that you at the right place at the right time, all the time!

Memphrica, USA! A nice place to do minority business.

What time did this happen? I'm guessing it was time for a "privilege check". If you go to Mempgis, please remember you can check your privilege at the city limits but you can still be due a random privilege check from one of the many able bodied dusky denizens of "The City of Elvis'.

Memphis is having its Pride Festival this weekend! Be sure to get your families down to watch the pride parade. We will be celebrating joyful diversity and there will be educational sermons from people who see nothing wrong with going in through the out door.

Memphis.
Come for the southern hospitality,
Stay forever because of the diversity!

In today's circumstances, Trenary would have a difficult time doing what he did to be successful because there would be a Trenary-type offering the opportunity only to people unlike him. This traitor was too high on virtue signaling to care.

You want insult added to injury? The red tape required to receive racial preferences was too tough to navigate for these brilliant minority entrepreneurs so the process was made easier. This is explained in a tone that makes the red tape out to be some kind of oppressive barrier. This is the anti-white Orwellian world of 2018 USA. "Racism" is not making the paperwork for minorities to receive preferential treatment easy enough!

I live in Tennessee, and I have divided people into two distinct categories; those who do go, or would go to Memphis, and those who declare that they would never go to Memphis. This is a pretty simple system for narrowing down those individuals with whom I care to have any dealings with.

Anonymous said...

To paraphrase a line from the film John Wick, "By thine own hand, your life on earth is hereby revoked." This guy brought it on himself.

As for set-asides and preferential treatment for "minority-owned" businesses, I am so sick of that crap, going back almost three decades. At that time I was at an Air Force base and trying to get a ribbon for a dot-matrix printer. Base Supply didn't have any more and there were hardly any left on the base, but Supply wouldn't order them until there were enough orders in to fulfill an "economic order quantity" total to get a volume discount. We were almost at the point of being unable to administratively function. It was then that I learned that the Air Force, by federal law, was required to give so much of that business to "minority- and women-owned" companies and typically office supplies were almost entirely (if not in fact entirely) purchased from such companies. Knowing they had us in a bind, they'd grossly overcharge us, knowing their white-owned competition was shut out. For example, one of those printer ribbons would cost about $4 from a place like Office Depot but we'd get charged $7.50. I was so incensed by this that I went out to an Office Depot and paid for some ribbons out of my own pocket rather than give a nickel to these SOBs. It also got things moving again in my squadron.

Ironically it was largely suspected that a lot of the "women-owned" companies had men actually owning and running the companies in the shadows, and the women up front were simply figureheads to get the federal government contracts. Likewise, some "minority-owned" businesses were suspected of actually having white owners "in the woodpile," so to speak. But nobody wanted to look into it for fear of what they might turn up (aka the truth). When there were issues of involving black preferential, the system looked the other way. Meanwhile, people learned to "game the system" for their own benefit and the taxpayers were (and still are) the losers.

The African probably thought Phil was trying to steal their "Vibranium", after all this was during a 4 mile race. 'White man can't steal our stuff and run away, how we gonna get rich?'

Phil probably voted Democrat because he believed in universal brotherhood, brotherly love and universal equality.

The two parties long ago used to be divided according to workers/laborers and
wealthy business men/landowners/bankers. This was when the USA was about 90% White people.
These days with White people at roughly about 60% of the US population and shrinking
the two parties are increasingly being divided according to race. This makes more sense as time goes by. White people are increasingly voting Republican and blacks, single women, and other so called minorities vote Democrat. Our elites are getting worried that they are losing control of the situation. They are planning on new methods to control us as the peasants are simply to ignorant to make up their own minds and must be controlled.

The top 5 most affordable places to retire in America

Shawn M. Carter

 11:50 AM ET Tue, 25 Sept 2018

Saving enough to retire isn't always easy, and neither is living for years on what you've managed to save. A recent GOBankingRates survey found that 42 percent of Americans currently have less than $10,000 saved for retirement. Meanwhile, those aged 65 and older spend an average of almost $46,000 a year, reports the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. ...

Based on the data, here are the five most affordable places to retire in America.

1. Birmingham, Alabama
2. Detroit, Michigan
3. Jackson, Mississippi
4. Memphis, Tennessee
5. Augusta, Georgia

Of course, this guy, who is no doubt an Ivy League grad, never considered why the housing prices in those cities was so "affordable" or even what goes through the head of his 90+% white readership when it comes to choosing a place to retire.

A quick scan of the "100 most dangerous cities in 2017" (to no surprise of readers here) contains the top four cities on his list:

"Most affordable places to retire"

1. Birmingham, AL
2. Detroit, MI
3. Jackson, MS
4. Memphis, TN
5. Augusta, GA

Jackson, MS #82

You've got it wrong. Our opponents always claim they are on the side of science, that they are the enlightened ones. But they are quick to shut down discourse and serious investigation where they know the actual science doesn't back them up, as in the case of racial differences in intelligence and behavior. If the hard science behind this isn't discussed, the enemy will simply disregard the "real life real stories" (of which there are plenty on display here every day too) as the products of "systemic racism" and other such meaningless jargon.

I'd almost suspect you were a troll who wanted posters to abandon pointing out the scientific backing of the stories discussed here and simply focus on hate and anger.

Why is this all over the news?

Every two minutes I'm told a real rape happens in America. Most of the rapists are black and most of the rape victims are white. That about's a quarter million real reported rapes a year or about nine million rapes in this period.

If blacks have been responsible for most of these rapes in this period why is the FBI wasting its time on the case of white teenage fumbling and groping?

Don't everybody try to explain at once.

This allowed the company to score big $$$$ government contracts AND tax incentives.

Three charged with murder in connection with Phil Trenary’s death

POSTED 11:44 PM, SEPTEMBER 29, 2018, BY DAVID ROYER, UPDATED AT 12:13AM, SEPTEMBER 30, 2018

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three people have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Thursday’s shooting death of business leader Phil Trenary, the Memphis Police Department announced shortly before midnight Saturday.

McKinny Wright Jr., 22, Quandarius Richardson, 18, and a 16-year-old have been charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of attempted robbery and attempted especially aggravated robbery.

Quandarius Richardson was one of two people taken into custody after a high-speed chase and wreck in South Memphis on Friday. The truck involved in that wreck had been seen speeding away from the murder scene the night before.

Richardson was being held on $500,000 bond on several charges including evading police. He is set to face a judge Monday.

Trenary, president and CEO of the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce, was gunned down Thursday night on Front Street near his downtown home as he walked from a Chamber-sponsored event. He had previously been CEO of Pinnacle Airlines and was a tireless advocate for Memphis.

Memphis is one of those "vibrant" cities where the police put up billboards warning travelers to enter the city at their own risk as the police could not guarantee protection. Just their politically correct way of saying, "Keep out! This black dominated city is a crime infested African shithole!" The p.c. warning gets the message across and avoids accusations of racism, intolerance, xenophobia, klan membership and "jus' tryin' to make black folks look bad" as it avoids pointing out who is responsible. No sense in setting the darkies off and having them rampaging through the streets screeching and protesting.

The cuck in this story ignored all warnings and was murdered by his dusky pets. That's the high price paid for being brain dead and engaging in virtue signaling. No doubt if anyone in this comment section had given him warnings in person, they'd have been denounced as intolerant and racist and the cuck would have droned on and on about how much good he was doing and how we needed to get on board with the program and "make a difference." We could help the city "turn its life around."

I live in Tennessee and you couldn't pay me to step foot in Memphis. Might as well offer me a free trip to the Congo or Somalia. On second thought, don't offer me the trip- I've got a lot of yard work to do today and can't afford to laugh myself into a coma.

As a reader here from the very beginning, I simply feel compelled to finally state that I've never understood, nor liked, the frequently used acronym "BRA" identified as standing for the phrase "Black Run America." We all recognize, and fully understand, that blacks don't run America, which country is instead run by white people (and, particularly by (((white))) people) for the benefit of blacks. So, I respectfully hereby propose that we stop using the misleading and confusing acronym "BRA" and instead hereafter utilize the much more apt and accurate acronym of "ARB" standing for the phrase "America Run for Blacks." ARB is simply more accurate and less confusing than BRA, and flows off the lips just as mellifluously. Love your posts, Paul, and greatly admire your tremendous courage and unrivaled contributions to the all-important perverted subject of ARB.

While the warning is well advised, it was really about establishing a bargaining position for union contract renegotiation rather than any concern over public safety. While I’m sure there are some well intentioned cops that think like us, most are focused on their salaries, benefits and pensions which are determined by the local politicians. Consequently, it is the local politicians to whom the cops owe their loyalty.

We’ve seen Uncle Leo look the other way while antifa and BLM thugs run amok. I wouldn’t count on them when SHTF.

I started out my trucking career in Memphis in the early 90s. That cool Mall of Memphis was still alive and had that neat in-door ice-skating rink. Elvis's Graceland was still safe to visit. The Memphis white cuck city father's later tore down the evil negro ghettos, where all of the crime had been concentrated (their white cucked minds believed that it was the poor ghetto housing that was responsible for the negro crime and misery, thus the ghetto housing had to go), and then spread, via housing vouchers, thousands of ghetto negroes throughout what was once safe and interesting Memphis. Sorta like deliberately metastasizing a cancer throughout one's body. Suffice to say that the cancer killed most of Memphis's safety and security, and of course, the Mall of Memphis became a dead mall and was demolished in 2004. Regards the white victim, I think that he was just another whitey who believed in 'there is only one race, the Human Race' and 'diversity is our strength' when he should have bugged out of Memphis long ago. He would have lived to see his grand-children and great-grand-children grow up. Another whitey paid the diversity tax.

Another victim of the "we are all the same, just a different coat of paint" narrative.

In the end all this does is serve to distract/disarm usual white defenses by using "racism" to guilt whites into lowering their defenses and walking like a sheep to its prey.

All the single white mothers who gave their parents the reward of pushing around wide-noses puffy-haired sprogs for their effort. And no "daddy" in sight, either.

It's not like we didn't know about all these extreme ways that our races differed and the general black tendency to be untrustworthy, an artful liar, and one lacking in conscience as he robs another man (or woman) blind. Add the cruelty and the complete nihilism and it's a wrap for many of us.

If you take anything from me, let it be this:

A life dedicated to being "nice" has no rewards at the end. Despite what many tell you, attempting to have everyone like you above any other value is void in the end. Just ask Obama, he's the expert at this.

No one will respect or include you in anything significant if your endgame is "nice". An @sshole with a passion is much more interesting and inspiring in everyone's eyes. Don't put yourself aside for others; you have creative and perceptual gifts that most of the world's population doesn't possess.

Never forget that.

Apparently Quandarius is aptly named as, once again, he finds himself stuck in the midst of a terrible quandary.

“The Memphis white cuck city father's later tore down the evil negro ghettos, where all of the crime had been concentrated (their white cucked minds believed that it was the poor ghetto housing that was responsible for the negro crime and misery, thus the ghetto housing had to go), and then spread, via housing vouchers, thousands of ghetto negroes throughout what was once safe and interesting Memphis.”

Several years ago, The Atlantic magazine did a story on how Section 8 spread crime to the suburbs. The article was centered around Memphis.

me too. I won't even drive through Memphis if I can go around.

I went through Memphis is the summer of '90. I was simply traveling for the love of it. I was 19 and free. I met a gal who let me crash at her place for nearly a week. It was Southern hospitality at its best. The neighborhood was great and I was (illegally) sold quarts of beer for less than a buck. I met people who engaged me in conversation whenever I went out and about.

I have a strange feeling that would not happen nearly 30 years later. I'm not as adventurous as the Ex-New Yorker, but I've seen enough in my time to know I grew up in the midst of an illusion (lie) I never quite bought into which is failing. Praise Bob, make your exit/defense plans and imagine the world to come.

We will triumph.

Joseph Angel @ 11:36am. Excellent observation. The end of black housing projects was the death knell for prosperous areas of major cities. When Detroit had the blacks in four or five housing projects, that preserved the nicer more productive areas. Once the projects were desolved and vouchers became the norm, all hell broke loose. Within twenty years every single Detroit neighborhood was destroyed. Now the blacks have arrogantly started to destroy the suburbs that surround Detroit. Like an infestation of a deadly, evil disease. No where to run.

And all hell broke loose.
How'd you like to join me on a stroll through the infamous Herman Gardens, say August 1992? At night.

"I don't get it. I need help."

I'm not buying that you don't get it, given your Uncanny awareness of virtually everything else.

But because I enjoy reading your posts so much I'll play along.
This is nothing more than an attempt to destroy a man merely to deny Trump his choice for the Supreme Court.

A delay tactic the Dems hope will go beyond the mid terms where they hope to retake the Senate.
IMO they may pick up a few house seats but they will actually lose a senate seat or 2. I also believe the accuser is lying.

Quandarius, hmmm I will bet even money that he cannot correctly spell his 1st name.

He was doing the job the Black and Hispanic Chambers of Commerce refused to do. His activism is the just one of the many reasons businesses who aren't "part of the club" refuse to join the Memphis Chamber. They'll find another cuck to take his place.

Detroit refugee @ 7:46 am. Ahhh, Herman Gardens...remember it well. A cesspool of single motherhood. Filthy from one end to the other. Coming to a neighborhood near...well, coming everywhere. Thanks Feds. Every time the federal government has a brilliant idea, grab your wallet and your children.

Authorities: 400 guns stolen from UPS facility

POSTED 9:20 AM, OCTOBER 1, 2018, BY ERYN TAYLORAND JESSICA GERTLER, UPDATED AT 05:45PM, OCTOBER 1, 2018

MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Memphis Police Department are investigating after hundreds of guns were stolen over the weekend.

According to the agencies, two men driving a U-Haul vehicle pulled up to the UPS facility at 1803 Brooks Road in Memphis and took off with 400 guns. They say the guns could be transported to other cities within hours.

Authorities spent Monday following up on leads, which is why they say they didn't have time for an interview. Memphis Police wouldn't talk either and UPS says they can't comment on the investigation.

No police report was available, so it's unclear what type of guns were stolen or where those 400 guns were being shipped to.

People in the area didn't recognize the men and say they hadn't heard anything.

Up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of those responsible.

If you know anything call the ATF at (800) ATF-GUNS or the Memphis Police Department at (901) 528-2274.

I wonder if Mr. Trenary's last words were "No! I'm on your side!!" or "Fuck, I wish I had a gun right now"

I live in Nashville, and it seems to be turning into little Mexico. Probably safer than Memphis (for now- - plenty of "youth" crime) but, MEXICO!?
