Merry Christmas from Paul Kersey!

We'll be back tomorrow. Until then, Merriest Christmas wishes to you and your family.

As always, one of the best gifts you can give is to call a family member or longtime friend you haven't spoken to in years, and wish them a 'Merry Christmas'; in the process, putting behind whatever bitterness may have prevented such a simple, kind act for years.

After all, one of the great things about Christmas is remembering the past, and those cherished memories of loved ones who may no longer be here to celebrate with you today.

Merry Christmas!

Lynching is so old hat! The ultimate expression of racism nowadays (also post-reconstruction) is the terrible microagressions faced by our dear, dusky pets.

But the bill also calls for legislators to acknowledge the historical impact and lasting harms of lynchings, which often went unaddressed by local and state law enforcement. Indeed, the bill begins with a strong statement declaring lynching as “the ultimate expression of racism in the United States following Reconstruction.”

Dems worry: Top three candidates in polls are all white men

Democrats are worried that they have a problem: The three people leading polls in the very early stages of their presidential race are all white men.

The party traditionally battles over identity politics and wants to be seen as promoting diversity.

Its last three nominees have been Barack Obama, who became the nation's first African-American president, and Hillary Clinton, the first woman to win the popular vote.

Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) are this year's top-tier candidates, according to a recent and very early Des Moines Register/CNN/Mediacom poll. ...
