I am 65 and all I can say is that this is the most misunderstood campaign I can recall,(including the war torn years in the 1960's) and ironically the one that cries out the most for explication. The issues, are simply put, so complex even highly educated individuals are challenged to understand them, it seems, much less explain/defend them. Try to explain "monetization of the debt" or "QE" to someone who barely made it out of high school and who is unemployed, addicted, and depressed. Or even healthy but not that bright. Or even bright but depressed.
The reason so many people dislike Romney,I think, is that he is really smart (obviously) and his grasp of the issues stimulates suspicion of him. The suspicious don't want to admit they are paranoid of him so they make up essentially unbelievably fictions about his character, motives, etc.
As the wit says, you can't fix stupid. Especially unfortunately, you cannot also even converse with it, much less debate with it.
A thoroughly impossible hope would be to think meritocracy has a solution to this mess short of denying rights to the mentally challenged.
Ominous.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3890530692790573387.post-12938674468301520582012-09-18T18:06:55.884-07:002012-09-18T18:06:55.884-07:00If anyone has a source for the "we will follo...If anyone has a source for the "we will follow" quote attributed to Andrew Young, I would like to have it. Unless whites start turning off the jujubox and start waking up, it's going to be the end of them regardless of which criminal psychopath mumbles arbeit macht frei over the teleprompter. Perhaps the much-boasted white IQ isn't s high as everyone thinks. They just keep on drinking the damned Kool-Aid, after all. Mittens shows little evidence of even wanting to win anyway. Mexicans and Negroids are never going to vote for him, but he's going to spend the next week doing the typical Repuke dance of "reaching out".

With real unemployment at least 17%, Mittens should be in a much stronger position than he is under all conventional political wisdom - as Whiskey pointed out. Not one person who advocates Mittens here has been able to cite a single example of how he would be better than D'Won. The positions of the two are identical. The folks who created and operate BRA will be doing every single thing they are doing irrespective of who reads the teleprompter. The whole farce of an election itself is a perfect example of the twin forces of massive idiocracy and a treasonous and genocidal ruling oligrachy. You're correct that we didn't get here in 7 years (more like a century, actually). Either the whole primary process was rigged from the start (a real possibility) or the Repuke base is so blindingly and terminally stupid that they think Mittens somehow represents something different than Housenigga Hussein - utterly ignoring his thoroughly leftist record as Supreme Kommissar of the most leftist state in the country.

This notion that getting Mittens in the white house is somehow going to change anything about BRA is a type of magical thinking. Those on the right making the opposing case - that Mittens will actually be worse - have a more plausible argument, though still unconvincing. As I mentioned in a previous thread, the state legislatures are infinitely more important than who reads the teleprompter. Congressional races are likewise more important.Bogolyubskinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3890530692790573387.post-86472782655263579432012-09-18T08:58:51.799-07:002012-09-18T08:58:51.799-07:00Whiskey: Romney's a numbers guy, he goes where...Whiskey: Romney's a numbers guy, he goes where the polling numbers show him. And they are not very good at it.

They are pets for DWL whites and tolerated for diversity's sake. It is never authentic, the blacks just think that by purchasing the right name brands and living next to whites they will show as middle-class and be acceptable. Black people and their magical thinking.

They still do not value family or marriage, their kids are thug jerks and create chaos and learning gaps in the schools, and they still subscribe to the failed black culture - basketball, ghetto worship, hip-hop crap music, saggedy pants, gangs, ebonics, loitering, anti-intellectualism, in a constant state of rhyming and rapping, Twitter flash mobs, drugs, $200 shoes, basketball, burglary, anti-police sentiment, no snitching, purple drank, crime and thuggery. They are just wearing expensive braces on their teeth and driving Escalades at the same time. We are not fooled.

What is the quote about putting lipstick on a pig?Midwesternnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3890530692790573387.post-39845556631883848642012-09-18T05:26:08.745-07:002012-09-18T05:26:08.745-07:00"What better proof does anyone need that wome..."What better proof does anyone need that women have no business voting?"

I agree with this statement. In this election, my husband will cast a single vote to represent our family.

I am thinking of canceling my voter registration. I dropped out of the work force 15 years ago when my first child was born so that a man have a chance to support his family in my old job, and so that I could educate my children and make our home.

I don't want to be a part of the political herd anymore. Women in the mix always seem to muck things up, and I have way too much work to do for my husband and children. So far it has been an easy and natural decision.Midwesternnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3890530692790573387.post-90387419257397392552012-09-18T03:33:29.264-07:002012-09-18T03:33:29.264-07:00Boots on the ground here in Seattle, reporting on ...Boots on the ground here in Seattle, reporting on the melanin enriched every damn where. But for some reason I’ve got an overwhelming need to react to this repetitive dirge. What is your point? Are you a writer and just feel the need to craft your writing here? If so, why not try something new, something creative. “important erection”, damn that’s clever. Over and over it appears. There has got to be others here who are just tired of the negative, nihilistic, monotone of an opinion that you express again and again. Do you work for the DNC?

You’ve got an “erection” in 50 days. Vote for Obama then. It will all collapse soon and you’ll be in charge and you’ll fix everything. It’s that easy. Seriously, a guy like you, with these ideas and these language skills, right to the top. I’m as cyncical as the next guy and Romney doesn’t really light my fire, but Jesus Christ do you really understand what the alternative is for people who work for a living? In your mind, will another four years of Obama cause the collapse and then all the “jews”, all the rinos and the negroes will abandon their control stations and take up residence in Bejing?

We didn’t get here over the last 7 years. It’s going to take a long time to dig ourselves out of it and it’s going to need some constructive ideas and actual labor. Snarking on the internet isn’t going to do it. Get Obama out of office and start from there.Jay Santosnoreply@blogger.com
