I'll never forget the conversation I had with his brother about his death, commenting on a particular caliber of firearm and my desire to acquire one; he stopped me from going further and told me about his brother's death, immediately causing me to fall to my knees in disbelief.
It was in the middle of a parking lot of a big-box store, and I felt like I had been shot through the heart.
Flying to the city where he would be laid to rest and spending time with his family brought back happy memories of the past, but no comfort for the future.
When I got home from his funeral, my wife and I went to see Tomorrowland, easily the most misunderstood and incredible film of 2015: if you've seen the incredible Tomorrow Land: Disney in Space and Beyond, you know the vision Walt Disney hoped for the future.
What we have today is not it, not by a long shot.
I hadn't allowed my friend's death to truly affect me until the movie started playing, and of all things John Williams score during the new Star Wars VII trailer played.
Before my wife could see me, I had to walk out of the theater because I was overcome with emotion.
Tears... just wouldn't stop.
It was cathartic.
Sitting back down in the theater, I found myself completely blown away by what was being displayed before me in Tomorrowland. Perhaps it was my overly emotional state, but the ending of the film included a powerful speech by the "antagonist" of the movie, who said:
"In every moment there's the possibility of a better future, but you people won't believe it. And because you won't believe it you won't do what is necessary to make it a reality. They dwell on this terrible future and you resign yourselves to it for one reason, because that future doesn't ask anything of you today. So yes, we saw the iceberg and warned the Titanic. But you all just steered for it anyway full steam ahead. Why? Because you want to sink!"I believe our best days ARE in front of us.
When the word "are" is used, it is meant to define the course of European-descended people.
Because that is WHO I care about for the future.
SBPDL started as a joke: back in May of 2009 in Atlanta.
But now we near the moment when it's time to stop joking around: when we've reached the moment when the future does ask something of you today.
If you believe SBPDL is worth investing in, we need your help.
The 2015 Fall Fundraiser must begin now.
Three extremely important projects need your help:
- The Philadelphia book
- The Indianapolis book
- The New Orleans/Hurricane Katrina book
- Turning the NASA book into an actual book (instead of just exclusively Kindle)
If you believe SBPDL is worth keeping around, please consider making a donation via PayPal in the right-hand corner.
There exist few sites, if any, like SBPDL.

With virtually no budget, Paul Kersey has created an institution: imagine what could be done with just a little funding.

Wife and I watched a pirated copy of Tomorrowland this evening. At the very end is a cut scene showing the "recruiters" doing their recruiting. You guessed it, no white males recruited at all.
Can't wait til it all burns to the ground & Nature reestablishes the natural pecking order instead of this nightmare.
Got Preps?
But Paul, we have to what is FAIR and RIGHT by black people! We enslaved them for 400 years ... that's just not FAIR! How would YOU feel if your ancestors had been kept in chains for centuries? You'd be a little screwed up yourself, I bet.
We simply haven't given enough to black folks. It's time we redouble our efforts - more benefits, more opportunites, more programs ... and MORE REFUGEES! It simply isn't fair that we let Africans starve to death and die in civil wars while we sit on our tuchuses ... we have to DO MORE!!!

You were right about Tomorrowland. Everyone's a cynic and a critic today, always looking for flaws. A friend of mine, who's into science fiction and Disneyland (particularly the Walt years), panned the film as a 5, because "it had leftist messages and global warming B.S." (I didn't ask if he filed a police report of that assault on his conscience.)
By that logic, no one should ever seek higher education (or even lower education) because those institutions are teeming with Marxists. So what? Nobody controls your mind. When you open yourself to new ideas and experiences, you're supposed to activate your filters to prevent hostile agents from taking root. You enter those places - universities, theaters, churches, websites - because you expect to derive something of value from them. So pay your nickel, get what you want, and if they try to serve you crap, push it away.
PK, you can re-imagine about how House was talking about racial realism in that scene all you want, but it doesn't change that Tomorrowland was simply ham-handedly made as a global warming propaganda piece.
Off topic but it looks like the Bantus of Baltimore are at it again.
BLM protesters have been having sit ins at city hall. They don't like the fact that the temporary turned permanent police commissioner is white (but won't say that directly) and now have a bunch of threats, er, demands for the city:
BALTIMORE (AP) — The latest on protests by the Baltimore Uprising coalition, which occupied City Council chambers at Baltimore City Hall to protest a council committee's vote in favor of making the interim police commissioner permanent:
Democratic Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake says she is confused about the purpose of a City Hall demonstration by student and community activists.
More than 30 people held a sit-in for eight hours and, ultimately, 16 were arrested early Thursday. Protesters said they wanted Rawlings-Blake and interim Police Commissioner Kevin Davis to meet with them to discuss demands for demonstrators' First Amendment rights, the firing of the city's housing commissioner and the investment of millions of dollars in city schools.
After attending an event Thursday afternoon at a community center, Rawlings-Blake said she wasn't "clear on their goals."
She says the protesters requested a meeting with Davis, he agreed to meet with them Friday and he gave them his cellphone number to arrange the meeting. Rawlings-Blake says that, "instead of using that as an opportunity for communication, they tweeted his phone number to the world."
Donation on the way, PK.
For my HBD friends, and the many who, like me, never believed that Out of Africa "theory".
More and more is being found to completely debunk it. Finally.

The public bus system I ride has instituted a new free Wi-Fi which is really great. The Wi-Fi passes through a content blocker however, and interestingly SBPDL is not allowed. The error message returned is that SBPDL is a "hate" site. So there you have it sports fans: we're hate-mongers. We're hate-mongers for committing the sin of *noticing*.. I was unfriended (again) on FB last night for *noticing*.. Meanwhile the rash of Twin Cities shootings continues on the serious upswing this week, but the realist is the bad guy in this new world. Great writing today Paul. I shall make a donation.

welcome to Hollywood, 'Tomorrowland was simply ham-handedly made as a global warming propaganda piece.'...but the celebs believe in AGW.
Tomorrowland is a joke. Read about how Disney acquired the land for Disney World with help from the CIA. Also, any movie with George Clooney in it is just Council on Foreign Relations propaganda.
PK, allow me the liberty to read between the lines.
I am of the conclusion that your friend suffered from Depression. Your essay strongly hints of that, and as one who has endured Depression for decades, I can honestly say, I understand.
Those of us who "endure" this demon, this dark cloud, this thick amorphous, insidious, entity, it is hell at times. One contemplates suicide, far too many times.
Over the decades of living "the walk", extensive reading and searching, and hundreds of hours spent in discussions with Psychologist, best friends, Psychiatrist, etc., I've had to accept the conclusion that many of us can not get away from it. We learn to find ways to hold on tight when it strikes.
So, allow me some suggestions and advice for those lucky ones who don't have this curse but have friends or family that do. Please take this seriously:
1) DON'T tell them to "get over it", "cheer up", etc. It can not be done. Depression takes over them and lasts until "it" leaves. It is not a choice. One is Possessed.
2) Don't ever say you understand. If you don't experience it yourself, you can not. The best way I've found to explain it is: The total absence of hope. Absolute lack of any desire to live. Complete despondency. The most unimaginable sadness.
3) Just be around the person. Do you normal things. When we are in the horrific grip of this "entity" we just want to sit or lie down and wait it out. We DO like the comfort of another person around and it comforts us to hear the sounds of life: Dishes being put away, a washing machine running, radio in the background, you washing your hands or making lunch. Just DO NOT TALK about the depression and don't try to hold a conversation unless we initiate it. We are't listening. We are barely alive.
Do NOT try to get us up, go out, get moving. We can't. We are barely breathing and we have learned through experience that it does pass, eventually, when it wants.
4) Be there to listen when we do talk. We really don't want nor expect you to say anything. Just let us know you are there and you care to the degree you do. We know you can't do anything about it and you need to know that.
5) Don't, if possible, leave us alone. The vast majority of Suicides are done alone. There is very little chance if you are around. If we should get up to go to another room or use the bathroom. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING and be on your toes. That will be the time one takes their own life, most likely.
6) Why do some take their life in public? They are saying to their friends and family: You didn't believe me. You didn't take my pain serious, so here, now do you believe me? This is an act of anger and revenge. The solo, alone, suicides are an act of surrender. I've always know that I can kill this demon. It needs me to be alive. It needs me to give it refuge. This fact, strangely, keeps me alive. I can kill this beast any time I want and that thought, of WHO has final control, keeps me alive. Sad, but true.
7) Depression kills.
I'm new to this site. I'm not white (nor am I black), but I think what the blog author doing is very important. There are not many outlets for legitimate criticisms about everything wrong with the black community in America. It boggle my mind that the American negro has access to some of the finest education and financial opportunities right here in the bosom of the developed world, far more than his cousins in Africa and the Caribbean, but he chooses to waste his time by complaining about how those "mean racist white people" won't let him get ahead.
I don't even think Malcolm X had this vision for his people.
BTW, if anyone can recommend one of the books on the website, I'd like to check it out. I don't have much time to read so a recommendation on the best one would be good.
Escapism is necessary..although too often such Hollywood escapism is littered with PC morality messages. The best escapism is getting out into nature. However, there is a new one I just discovered that Kersey & others would appreciate. You need a smartphone, VR glasses or a Google cardboard device (pretty cheap and easily found online)and downloading the free Cardboard app. Virtual reality is in it's infancy, but there are numerous escapist videos out there. I just watched Titans of Space...a free 360 degree tour of outer space in which you're immersed in the dark universe (no, not Baltimore). It really puts black dysfunction into perspective as you look all around at the planets, moons & stars....as earth sits far away in the distance. You see that THIS is the future that mankind was meant to conquer, as Kersey has mentioned in his NASA pieces. And they will. HIGHLY recommended...virtual reality tech is simply amazing.
I just came across this and it will make your eyes roll and stomach lurch. To show you the PC stupidity, here are just 2 quotes from the article.
"Earlier this week, FBI director James Comey said that "violent crime is escalating in inner cities across the country and that local and federal agencies need to band together to figure out the causes and how to stop it."
"There are cities with nothing in common where this is happening," said Comey,..."

Is this a "hate site"?
Well, we discuss The Black Issue.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISCUSS THE BLACK ISSUE! THERE IS NO BLACK ISSUE! DIVERSITY IS STRENGTH!
It makes me physically ill to see the reaction on White people's faces when I speak openly about the black issue. At the first indication that I am going to be speaking factually on the topic their eyes widen and then dart around to see if anyone else can hear me. They fidget and shift weight from foot to foot. They do their best to avoid my points, and then distance themselves from me as though I was asking them to trade pediatric pornography with me.
This morning at my office one of our UPS delivery guys brought up the News story of the morning here in Chicongo- a "man" slashed a woman's face on the El Train around midnight last night. He was saying "Can you guys BELIEVE that!?"
"Did you catch the description of the attacker?" I asked.
"Ummm......" (Nervous glances begin). "No...."
"I did." I explain "The News said it was 'a man' so you can safely bet that means he's black."
Guy COMPLETELY ignores me and rushes out of there looking as though I was offering him some cocaine.
It makes me so disgusted to see Whites cringe like that. One of our office girls said "You can't say that, he could have been any race, the News didn't specify, you're just making assumptions, there are just as many White people in the city as blacks."
"1. He's a male that attacked a female. 2. He SLASHED HER FACE. 3. The victim is White but NO menion of his race."
Now she's squirming.
I continue "If she was black and a White man attacked her do you think race would have been mentioned?"
"Ummm, I don't know"
"Ok, let's follow the story for the next few days or weeks. When the details come out if he's black you owe me $100 but if he's White I'll pay you $500. Deal?"
She scurried away to her desk and nobody at my White office was willing to take my bet.
This is all so Orwellian it feels like living in The Twilight Zone.
Paul, I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your friend. I can read the pain in your voice. It's very hard to lose someone you love. October is a hard month for me as I lost a few loved one and their anniversary date still pains me. One is my beloved mother.
The death of someone leaves a very big hole in a person's life. Especially if you're close friends or family. There is no substitute for time.
Centurion....thank you for that post about depression. It gave me an entirely new perspective on people who are suffering depression and how to handle them. I thank you sir.
On a positive note......whites are no longer working where I am. Many have stopped looking for work and are staying at home. Well that's a good thing. They're getting plenty of sleep and taking charge of their health. I see them at the local vitamin store. They're buying bulk herbs and potions to create a healthy body. I see them walking now for weight loss as the weather is cooling. So when the time comes to wage battle whites will be the new feral class and the black city dwellers will be the fat government class.
Whites need to be more feral. Learning how to hunt and fish will be valuable. Now is the time to buy property out in the woods. The best thing we can do is stay out of the way until either things fall apart or we die, whichever comes first.
Some have asked for my favorite blogs (ALL secondary to this one).
Well the one called http://www.truthrevolt.org/
is really hot today with great articles. What I posted above came from there. So, rather than encourage you all to search out the source of my comments today, I decided to give you the main link.
To Fatigued in Minneapolis:
What do you expect when too many affirmative action appointees per capita of population are put in positions of authority? I'd be willing to bet a lot of violent, anti white sites are still allowed though, right?
I left Mpls. Back in '82 to get away from the crime infiltrating my neighborhood. Decent, working class neighborhoods turned into porch monkey inhabited slums. Do we hate the blacks? I don't, hate clouds the mind, and makes one less effective. I am however, not blinded to the truth of the nature of homo africanus, and not drinking the kool-aid about racism, slavery, prejudice, etc, etc.
You know as well as I that many, many people in power have discovered the same truth, but won't tip over he apple cart because of the affect on the market. In this case, maybe money is the root of evil. Reading on the bus is not being aware of your surroundings, don't do it. Some thug will be reading you, and seeing a "weakness" to exploit. Watch your six.
@Truth Corps at 9:34
Everyone noticed the 20 nogs who shared a total of 15 seconds screen-time in the final minute. But did you notice the preceding two hours only contained two of them?? One was a robot that exploded on the street (those damn streets again) and the other was a yoof making his highest possible contribution to Tomorrowland -- riding a rocket-powered skateboard. That was all. Everyone else imagining, engineering, building and maintaining the future was White or Asian.
Sometimes we miss the forest for the trees.
And again (not you), all the whining about Global Warming. Take it as a metaphor, folks: Life on Earth is facing a threat -- Multiculturism; Crystal Methodism; Babylon Reborn. Should we resign ourselves to its victory over us, or should we put our greatest minds and boots together to stop it, and reverse the damage? Are you incapable of finding inspiration without it being refined and spoonfed into your gullet? You're better than that.

This is a Love site. Love of our race.
"...and the investment if millions of dollars in Baltimore schools...." of the 100 largest school districts in the US, Baltimore is third in spending, coming in at $15,277 per student per year.
Only New York City (about $20k) and Boston ($19k or so) spend more. Yes, there are SOME smaller school districts that spend more, but among the majors, Baltimore is way up.
Chickenshit reporters never point this out when these Bantus scream fo' mo' money for skoo' funding.
If you can't teach someone to read, write and do simple math in 12 years while spending $15K a year, you don't need to dig too deep to find the problem.
This is the same nonsense about poor people being denied access to college. The poor get Pell Grants and low interest loans denied to more affluent families.
It's time to tell the truth, no matter how ugly it is.
"Well the one called http://www.truthrevolt.org/"
Once I saw the name David Horowitz attached to it my disinformation red flag began waving hard. Hiding the self-serving bullsh*t among valid stories is stock-in-trade for these people.
Paul, I've followed SBPDL from its hilarious beginnings to the brutal, harsh and ominous reality of the latter postings. You are a revolutionary hero. Colin Flaherty, Jared Taylor and others are there too. I've donated a small monthly donation and will add more as I'm able.

You have so poignantly described depression that I have no more to say. I too suffer this malady and have struggled against suicide for decades..going so far at one time to have placed a loaded pistol against my temple and feeling the trigger, knowing that my torment would end with only the slightest pressure of my index finger.
Your 7 points about depression are perhaps the best I have ever seen. I thank you more than you will ever know.
_____
I saw Tomorrowland and wasnt terribly impressed. I also felt it was a two hour liberal blather about global warming (GW).
George Clooney is a total liberal n-lover to the core. You should never expect anything from him except just that...liberal tripe and fawning over negroes with the same old BS about fairness and equality.
_____
Not to digress, but GW, or as I prefer to call it, global climate change (GCC) is something I have studied and feel I know a bit about.
Some points of interest:
1. GCC is a natural phenomena that has occurred several times during the history of the earth, the last being the ice age which ended approx 12,000 years ago.
2. GCC may be influenced by man made emissions, but causality is far from certain.
3. Methane is a far greater threat (25x more) to GCC than CO2. Google "Clathrate Gun" for more info.
4. Terrestrial (crustal) dislocation, the movement of the entire crust of the earth, may be another possibility. Its a bit far out, but not beyond the realm of possibility.
5. Global COOLING is a very real potential outcome (see point #1).
GCC is most likely beyond mankinds ability to control. There seems very little to be done constructively with a burgeoning population bent on expansion.
Bottom line: Things are gonna change and change significantly. Its gonna get hot, really hot, but it might very well get cold...really cold...for a very long time. Not much we can do except try to prepare, but how does one prepare for something so immense and unpredictable as GCC?
Only advice I can offer is relocate to the southern hemisphere, where the outcome appears to be slightly less gloomy, but only slightly. Google "Guy McPherson" if you want the worst case scenario.
O/T, but input on what you guys think of this....

The Snapping of the American Mind (Cleveland)
AMERICA IS SUCCUMBING TO A VIRAL 'MYSTERY MADNESS'...
We hear about them almost daily.
"Mentally ill" loners who slaughter a classroom of students before shooting themselves; young Americans, male and female, who travel overseas to join ISIS and become barbarians and sex slaves; people who amputate healthy body parts in a desperate attempt to become the opposite sex, or who purposely put drain cleaner in their eyes to blind themselves or cut off their own hand, all to "feel more comfortable" with themselves; entertainment idols who revel in wild sexuality and mock God; and of course, the latest outrages of a "transformative" president who supports America's enemies, betrays her friends, and leads a lawless government that daily tramples the Constitution, encourages massive invasion of the American homeland and prosecutes Christians as criminals.
Yes, such sensational and bizarre stories increasingly dominate the news cycle.
But these represent only the barest tip of an iceberg, harbingers of a massive and growing pathology sweeping America in the Age of Obama.
Turbocharged by the Obama presidency, explains Kupelian, long-coalescing forces of the political and cultural left are bringing about their much-heralded "fundamental transformation of America." That much everyone knows.
But this revolution is also causing a fundamental transformation of Americans -- in profoundly negative and heretofore undocumented ways.
In "The Snapping of the American Mind," author David Kupelian shows how the progressive left -- which today dominates America's key institutions, from the news and entertainment media, to education, to government itself -- is accomplishing much more than just enlarging government, redistributing wealth, and de-Christianizing the culture.
With its wild celebration of sexual anarchy, its intimidating culture of political correctness, and its incomprehension of the fundamental sacredness of human life, the left is also, whether intentionally or not, promoting widespread dependency, debauchery, family breakdown, crime, corruption, addiction, despair and suicide.

While I think that was totally OT, that was the best part I've read from you Centurion. Thank you
sorry to hear that. I know it does seem hopeless these days. i.e. even your own family lives in la la land. etc. But I think (know) their is hope. We wouldn't be doing what we do if their wasn't.
As mentioned above, we had another black on white violent crime in Chicago at 4am this morning. Both news organizations of course left out names (it must have been black) and race, but at least CBS local included the video showing both the perp and victim. A third, WGN showed a video but blurred out the victim and perp's faces.
The prick slashed her face AFTER he took the phone as well. That scar is going to be a hell of a reminder to her about the Eloi tax she paid...in skin.
Strangely, Tribune left their comment section up, while CBS local shut it down on the spot.

"...or who purposely put drain cleaner in their eyes to blind themselves or cut off their own hand, all to "feel more comfortable" with themselves..."
Where do they get such crazy ideas?
8Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. 9And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
- Matthew 18:8-9
Yep, it's the de-Christianizing of the culture alright. It couldn't be more clear.

I hope PK, and everyone else, reads your post several times. I've been there...the ONLY thing that kept me going was knowing I could end it (suicide). Brain chemistry is so complex and there's no road map as yet. Hang in there buddy...and keep trying the drugs.

Im amazed that with your forwardness regarding negro behavior in Chicago, of all places, that you havent been fired or sent to some sort of sensitivity training.
I say, good on ya for speaking your mind, but Im surprised that you havent had any repercussions.
All the best!
Mention of Tommorrowland reminded me of a book I read years ago, before I opened my eyes. It was called "Futureland". I'd grabbed it off the re-shelf cart at the library by accident. Maybe I should track it down today... Even then it had some obvious problems, so it'd probably be a comedy piece. The story is some dystopian future, most of the sympathetic characters are overly intelligent magic negroes.
That said, there was one sub-plot that I think people here would find amusing:
The highest IQ white person, the head of a tech company, plans to start up the first lunar colony. He plans to gather the finest specimens of humanity as the initial colonists, both in intelligence, and physical robustness. Our magic negro protagonist wins some challenge and would've earned a spot... But instead he got YT to build a tech plant in Africa to inject money into the economy. And all that money got snatched by the black kleptocrats and used to make war on the neighbors. Said protagonist stays on Earth.
Despite being an "Ebil YT" propaganda piece, there still was at least one gem of realism thrown in. Anyone else hear of this?

This is for CENTURION.......Try these herbs for depression.
St. Johns Wart.
Gotu Kola.
Ginkgo Biloba.
Ginseng Root (Siberian is the best).
Also try liquid shots of B-12. Turmeric is a brain nutrient and may also help. Swanson Health Products sells a nice herbal supplement called BRAIN ESSENTIALS that is very good. All of these are available in any health food store or on line. I prefer the liquid tinctures rather than the capsules. Ginseng and Gotu Kola are mental stimulants and should not be taken at night.
I know about THE DEMON. For a long time we were friends because it was THE RAGE that brought me home alive. I lived with angels but the DEMON was always there in a pinch. Of course I walked a different path than most people. The anger can get to you after awhile so me and the DEMON went separate ways some years ago. I still do have some bad nights.
That Gotu Kola is really nice stuff. I have been running on it for over 20 years and feel pretty good most of the time. BTW...Coffee and sugar are a toxin that can cause depression. I just quit my Coffee habit again for the tenth time in ten years.
I find it amazing that heroin has made such a comeback, but I've seen it recently even in my small hicktown. It was big in the 1960s, early 1970s (Viet Nam era), but seemed to take a backseat to cocaine in the 1980s.
I would surmise that the stricter drug laws regarding cocaine and crack cocaine, as well as the all out crusade against marijuana, have helped revive heroin's popularity.
I've tried most of the drugs over the years, but heroin is one that I never dabbled with.
So sorry for your loss, but that's how smack addicts generally go, Keith Richards being the exception...so far. It may be of little consolation, but at least the passing was painless and probably unconscious.
On the topic of Global Warming, or Climate Change, I don't think I've heard a rational argument on either side of the debate. Most of the time it dissolves into a squable over whether it's human caused or not, which is kind of irrelevant. So, for a sane plan on Global Climate Change:
1. Find out how the climate is changing. We've had multiple ice-ages in the past, they probably didn't stop just because humans showed up. Therefor, the climate is changing, we just need to figure out the speed and direction.
2. Assess what the climate is changing to, and compare that to what we want. A warmer climate might allow for longer growing seasons. A colder climate might increase the area of landmasses (due to lowering sea-levels) in the remaining warm territory and still allow more food production. We'd need to actually run the numbers to know.
3. Take steps, not to stop the change, but to direct it toward what we want. Major climate change has been caused in the past by non-sentient living things (the Oxygen Catastrophe, for example). As industrialized humans, it's within our grasp to make changes if we set our minds to it.
End takeaway, stop arguing over whether we are causing the climate to change. Instead, start thinking about ways to engineer a world better than what was dropped into our laps.

On the topic of Global Warming, or Climate Change, I don't think I've heard a rational argument on either side of the debate.
That's probably because you're listening to people who don't actually know anything or are ideologues or disinformation artists pushing the agendas of their masters (like those who push BRA; you know they are real). Here's a very brief rundown on the actual science from someone who isn't a scientist:
1. Earth receives roughly 340 watts of sunlight per square meter of total surface area at the top of the atmosphere, and reflects about 30% of that. To stay in equilibrium, Earth needs to radiate 340 * 0.7 = 238 W/m² back to space.
2. A blackbody (not the Ta-Nehisi Coates definition, the physics definition) radiates power according to the equation P/A = 5.67*10^(-8) W/m^2/K^4. If you work this backwards from a radiative power of 238 W/m² you get a temperature of about 255 K, or some 18 degrees below 0 Celcius. The infrared radiation spectrum of the surface of the Earth is roughly a blackbody spectrum, so no big problems there.
3. The average temperature of the Earth is about 288 K, some 33 Kelvins hotter than a blackbody in free space would be. (This has been known for roughly 150 years now.) A blackbody at 288 K in free space would radiate some 390 W/m² in the infrared, more than the total sunlight received at the top of the atmosphere. There has to be another major factor at work.
4. That major factor is the greenhouse effect of the atmosphere. Earth's atmosphere is not transparent at thermal wavelengths; it intercepts and re-radiates heat over considerable spans of wavelengths, the exact behavior depending on the concentration of various all or partly natural (CO2, H2O, CH4, N2O) and artificial (CF4, NF3, SF6) gases in it. The non-condensible gases are usually well-mixed, but the concentration of water varies widely because cold rains or freezes it out. The effect of water becomes much smaller at high altitudes (e.g. stratosphere) and latitudes (e.g. Antarctica) because of cold.
5. We can measure this directly; the IR radiation from the atmosphere back to the surface of the Earth is well-characterized, including changes over time.
6. There are additional complicating effects from the radiation-blocking effects of condensed water in the form of clouds, which are not linearly additive.
7. The upshot of all of this is that adding CO2, methane, and halocarbons to the atmosphere makes it more opaque to thermal IR radiation to space, which increases the downwelling IR and increases the surface temperature required to achieve radiative equlibrium: "global warming".
Yes, that was too long... and it was also one of the shortest treatments that can even barely touch on the significant elements. Nature is not simple. If you demand simple answers for everything, you will get only lies... like the lies you get from BRA. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
@ Centurion:
You nailed it. That was the best description I've ever read of what a depressive incident is like. I'm going to keep that post as a text file, and left my wife read it. I went on a real jagged-edge ride to the bottom a week ago, and she didn't know what to do to help.
"I've always know that I can kill this demon. It needs me to be alive. It needs me to give it refuge. This fact, strangely, keeps me alive. I can kill this beast any time I want and that thought, of WHO has final control, keeps me alive. Sad, but true."
Stay strong, bro. We need every racially aware White person on this planet to help us create a new land for us.
The good news about GCC is that it will certainly throw a monkey wrench into the system big time. Which means, among other things, societal breakdown and the end of all the social support systems. Not good news for the negroes who depend on governmental handouts.
I won't be surprised if it leads to the demise of the negroes altogether.

End takeaway, stop arguing over whether we are causing the climate to change. Instead, start thinking about ways to engineer a world better than what was dropped into our laps.
We're already doing it. Atmospheric carbon dioxide dropped as low as 180 ppm during the last glaciation. According to Dr. Patrick Moore, founder of Greenpeace, without human intervention the Earth had only perhaps 2 million years left before CO2 levels became so low all plants would starve (below 150 ppm) followed by most of the rest of the biosphere.
Quite a paradigm-busting thought. The planet had 38 seconds to live on a 24 hour clock before we showed up and saved the day by desequestering carbon.
Optimal levels of atmospheric CO2 for plant growth are in the 1,000 to 2,000 ppm range, so there's lots of room for improvement.
And yes, it's now abundantly clear the global warming panic is a political movement based on flawed science.
Mind blown.
I would surmise that the stricter drug laws regarding cocaine and crack cocaine, as well as the all out crusade against marijuana, have helped revive heroin's popularity.
It's a combination of pain killer addiction and cheap Mexican heroin.
They're not starting on heroin as a party drug. They start on pain killers and then switch when they have a hard time getting their Oxy.
A lot of these people had a legal prescription at one time.
About the heroin situation in America:
Bingo about addiction starting with addiction to pain killers.
Point of fact: heroin is far cheaper on the streets than trying to score Oxy or Percocet.

I've been extremely anti-drug my whole life, but this incident convinced me of the need to have Predator drones lay waste to every drug camp in Mexico we can identify.
That was a really good description. I have dealt with it at many times in my life. Anyone who denounces SSRI drugs has never felt real depression. They just do not comprehend the fact that someone in the midst of hit could hit the lottery for millions of dollars, and he or she would not experience much pleasure from it. Chemical imbalances in the brain and body make happiness impossible. The one thing that brought me extreme relief was opiates, and I am still on medication keeping me away from them 9 years later. That is why I do not look down upon addicts. They are just trying to be able to have feelings that others take for granted. I am now a very happy, successful family man. But without modern medicine, I doubt I would be able to say that, or even be here to do so.
Draw the names from a hat if you must. Paul is a great writer.
Mr. Rational, that is exactly the sort of number running that I think is needed to arrive at a sane policy on GCC.
I'm kind of a scientist. Which is to say that I'm a nerd with a biochemistry degree, and a rather minor publication. My main knowledge about GCC is that I don't know enough hard facts to make a good call.
I do know enough about genetic tinkering, though, to say that most people in the GMO debate are asking the wrong questions. That publication was about a modified form of a jellyfish protein, after all.
Ian Smith, the thing about carbon (de)sequestration reminds me of an aspect of liberals being retarded. They're so against using fossil fuels that release carbon, and yet in favor of bio-degradable plastics that release carbon into the atmosphere. If they were serious about cutting down on CO2, they'd make bio-degradable plastics illegal.

Thank you, all of you, Thank you.
Oh for crying out loud....
I doubt Moore said that. It is a totally absurd thing to believe, because the cycles of glaciation and de-glaciation only last about 100,000 years. There's also the little matter that volcanoes are unaffected by glaciation, so if you eliminate most CO2 removal from weathering by turning the liquid water to ice, and also turn down carbon capture by photosynthesis, volcanoes bring the CO2 level right back up again until the ice melts.
The CO2 increase which marked the end of the last glaciation took about 7000 years. The problem is that we've already added more CO2 than nature did (the interglacial added ~95 ppm bringing it up to 275, humanity has already added 125 ppm), we did it in only about 200 years, and the pace is accelerating.
How is this like BRA and the immivasion crisis? They're all justified by "it won't hurt/it's good for you", when it fails they'll say "ha ha, you can't change it now", and they're making a pile of money off of it. SSDD.
it's now abundantly clear the global warming panic is a political movement based on flawed science.
On the contrary. The denier side has fallen to promoting obvious cranks like David Evans of Australia, whose "model" says CO2 has a much smaller effect than believed but fails to explain why earth isn't an iceball today. But in a society which ignores facts in favor of what confirms their ideology (especially the bits that back up their moral superiority) even cranks can achieve the status of demigods. The problem is that the public can't be bothered to study hard subjects like science and thus can't tell the difference, going instead with what strokes their ego. "I'm good, not like those people" is a very powerful drug, especially when it keeps you from having to make difficult decisions. BRA is just one facet of the problem of putting moral posturing ahead of truth.
Anyone who denounces SSRI drugs has never felt real depression.
The problem I have with them is that they are handed out like candy.
Depressed about your wife leaving? Have some drugs. Don't like your job? Have some drugs.
Our culture is unhealthy and a big part of that is race denial and the desire of the left to destroy everything about White American in an effort to equalize the populations.
I don't doubt that some people benefit from SSRI drugs but most White people could get over their depression by moving to the country and living a simpler life. I used to live in a liberal area and depression was the norm for my neighbors. There is a strong negativity that comes with living in a liberal area. Liberals believe that White people are the problem which leads to self-loathing and a dismissive attitude towards anything traditionally White, which includes positive White communal activities that help reduce depression. They also have to walk around with all sorts of contradictory positions like how they are smarter than other groups while believing that intelligence is distributed evenly in all groups. Negativity and cynicism are so common in these areas that people do not realize it is the norm. Most of the liberal women aren't sexually attracted to their husbands and the men feel subjugated. I would describe it all as one big mirage that isn't working.

heroin is from Afghanistan.
the prez of Afghanistans brother was the major opium salesman, if I recall.
is the gov involved?
The war on drugs has been a complete and total failure and caused significantly more harm than good by any measure. Definitely the worst thing Reagan ever did.
Whether it's pain relief or recreational use, drugs usage is a part of our reality and all the laws and police will never end it...only make it worse. The ones with serious problems don't need persecution, they need professional medical help. Get the LE out of it and get the medical profession onto it.
The desire to feel good and maybe a little out of control is a completely natural thing...even animals enjoy getting drunk from fermented fruit. Consider young children who will spin to make themselves dizzy, often until they fall down. This is a completely natural desire.
Certainly drugs like heroin need some management, but considering that we had a full-scale escalating war on drugs for 35 years and the problem only exacerbates year after year ought to tell us something about that approach...35 years!
I think the call "to have Predator drones lay waste to every drug camp in Mexico we can identify" is simply a knee jerk emotional reaction. It simply wouldn't work and would only make things that much worse. So long as there is a demand for drugs, someone will supply. The drug issue cannot be dealt with by LE/military force. If it could we would have solved it decades ago.
Maybe you personally don't use drugs...congratulations...however, roughly 1 in 4 adults do. Do you honestly want to persecute 25% of the entire population? The fantasy of a drug free society is just that. Drugs are a reality and whether you like them or hate them, they're here to stay.
Why not try an alternative approach? Why not allow chronic heroin users to have a reliable safe place where they can get their fix with clean drugs and needles under medical supervision? Would that not alleviate much of the problem (crime, overdose...)? Maybe we could start seeing this as harm reduction??? After 35 years of abject failure I believe it's time for a change of policy.
Marijuana is now legal in 2 states (medicinal in 26 states) and neither has collapsed into a drug crazed anarchy. The whole issue of drugs is much akin to racism. We have been programmed into a belief that ALL drugs (at least those that the govt tell us) are bad and we must have the LE system protect us from them. Try to deprogram yourself from this. It's just more central control and propaganda.
I do not advocate for anyone to use heroin and I hope that none ever would, but I am pragmatic enough to recognize that some will. I don't feel it's appropriate to make them criminals for that. Throwing more money and resources at the drug war is of no more benefit to society than throwing money and resources at the negroes.
Surely we can open ourselves to consider alternatives to something which has failed and harmed us for so long.

The question you should ask yourself is why you're so certain of something that is inherently so complicated that the only truly defensible position is it's too complicated to know for sure. Your certainty speaks volumes about your personality and nothing about the topic itself.
And then we could ask why you're still so certain in the face of a mountain of evidence that the boogeyman you fear is not happening. Increasing global temperature? Except for the transparent data manipulation of the faithful public servants at NASA and NOAA, not for 18 years. Sea levels rising? Nope. Same rate they've been rising for millennia. Arctic sea ice disappearing? Nope. Antarctic ice volume decreasing? Nope. Polar bears? Doing fine, thanks.
The problem is you just don't know what you don't know.
I'm at peace now with this Marxist attack on our way of life as I'm pretty sure I'll live long enough to see the most ardent climate alarmists utterly humiliated.
Mr. Rational....
I doubt Moore said that.
I will forego the opportunity to ridicule you for that.
Dr. Patrick Moore: Should We Celebrate Carbon Dioxide?
"It is a proven fact that plants, including trees and all our food crops, are capable of growing much faster at higher levels of CO2 than present in the atmosphere today. Even at the today’s concentration of 400 ppm plants are relatively starved for nutrition. The optimum level of CO2 for plant growth is about 5 times higher, 2000 ppm, yet the alarmists warn it is already too high. They must be challenged every day by every person who knows the truth in this matter. CO2 is the giver of life and we should celebrate CO2 rather than denigrate it as is the fashion today.
.....
During the past 150 million years there has not been enough addition of CO2 to the atmosphere to offset the gradual losses due to burial in sediments.
.....
The past 150 million years has seen a steady drawing down of CO2 from the atmosphere. There are many components to this but what matters is the net effect, a removal on average of 37,000 tons of carbon from the atmosphere every year for 150 million years. The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere was reduced by about 90% during this period. This means that volcanic emissions of CO2 have been outweighed by the loss of carbon to calcium carbonate sediments on a multi-million year basis.
If this trend continues CO2 will inevitably fall to levels that threaten the survival of plants, which require a minimum of 150 ppm to survive. If plants die all the animals, insects, and other invertebrates that depend on plants for their survival will also die.
How long will it be at the present level of CO2 depletion until most or all of life on Earth is threatened with extinction by lack of CO2 in the atmosphere?
.....
During this Pleistocene Ice Age, CO2 tends to reach a minimum level when the successive glaciations reach their peak. During the last glaciation, which peaked 18,000 years ago, CO2 bottomed out at 180 ppm, extremely likely the lowest level CO2 has been in the history of the Earth. This is only 30 ppm above the level that plants begin to die. Paleontological research has demonstrated that even at 180 ppm there was a severe restriction of growth as plants began to starve. With the onset of the warmer interglacial period CO2 rebounded to 280 ppm. But even today, with human emissions causing CO2 to reach 400 ppm plants are still restricted in their growth rate, which would be much higher if CO2 were at 1000-2000 ppm.
Here is the shocking news. If humans had not begun to unlock some of the carbon stored as fossil fuels, all of which had been in the atmosphere as CO2 before sequestration by plants and animals, life on Earth would have soon been starved of this essential nutrient and would begin to die. Given the present trends of glaciations and interglacial periods this would likely have occurred less than 2 million years from today, a blink in nature’s eye, 0.05% of the 3.5 billion-year history of life.
.....
You heard it here. “Human emissions of carbon dioxide have saved life on Earth from inevitable starvation and extinction due to lack of CO2”. To use the analogy of the Atomic Clock, if the Earth were 24 hours old we were at 38 seconds to midnight when we reversed the trend towards the End Times. If that isn’t good news I don’t know what is. You don’t get to stave off Armageddon every day."
I'm confused
Not to redirect this conversation, but Mr. Rational threw out some numbers that have me scratching my head.
He said...
"Earth receives roughly 340 watts of sunlight per square meter of total surface area at the top of the atmosphere"
I've been in the solar business for over 20 years and when I was in college we were told that the total solar radiation at the outer atmosphere is 1359W/m2.
Wikipedia says...
"Average annual solar radiation arriving at the top of the Earth's atmosphere is roughly 1366 W/m2"
and
"The most probable value of TSI (total solar irradiance) representative of solar minimum is 1360.8 ± 0.5 W m−2"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_irradiance#cite_note-7
Using my own measuring device I can easily get a reading of 1000W/m2 on the ground (I've seen over 1200) on most sunny days (easily over 400 on a lightly cloudy day) and I'm about as far from the equator as one can get on this planet and remain in the civilized world.
Sorry to digress, but this has piqued my curiosity...please explain
Thx

Such drugs serve to adapt people to unnatural situations. Is that a benefit? Or does it do harm, since without the drug, people might provide their own relief by changing the conditions that caused the depression?
I'd suggest that if there's a benefit, it's to societal stability. Anti-depressants represent a not-totally-effective way to prevent upset to that stability by getting most people to accept the status quo. Without them, there might be more race realism, perhaps even a political revolution of some sort. There are other factors involved, of course, but modern white men tolerate with a shrug and a smile things that would have driven their ancestors into rebellion. Drug use is undoubtedly a part of that passivity; an ever-increasing part as new and more powerful drugs become available. Certainly it's true that with enough analgesic, any amount of pain can be tolerated. Eventually we get to Orwell's boot, stamping on a human face. Forever! There's a pharmacopeia of tyranny, a necessary underpinning.
Ian Smith, well spoken about Global Warming.
As Kipling might have said, "The Gods of the Copybook Headings said: 'The proof of the Pudding is in the Eating'".
The acid test of any scientific theory is, can it make predictions that are borne out by experience? In the case of AGW, the answer is a firm "No".
We don't have enough data to prove or disprove the theory definitively, but we have plenty of data that tend to make it less credible.
Who benefits? Well, Al gore has made a mint of money out of it, yet he doesn't seem particularly concerned about its effects. The "victims" (once again, the mud races) are making out like bandits. Same old hustle. Who doesn't benefit? Well, that would be us - the civilized world.
How reliable are its advocates? They've been caught out in lies over and over again. Would you buy a used theory from these charlatans?
Is there even any point in it? Hell, no. For better or worse, there are now over seven billion people in the world. There just isn't any way for them all to live, but the way we're doing it now - basically living on capital. One way or another, this train ain't stopping. If we're heading for a smash, then hang on, because there are no brakes. Selling carbon indulgences will not affect it in the least.

Interesting hypothesis. And not a very hopeful one.
I've always been wary of drugs. I've had surgery several times in recent years, and each time been prescribed pain-killers on discharge. Fortunately, I've never needed them. After brain surgery, the doctor offered to prescribe anti-depressants, saying that depression was to be expected after head trauma, but I declined those, too. Reading the scary stories on this thread, I'm glad I've never needed those.
A little help if you please from you more computer literate types...
Can some please tell me how (or provide a link to the proper instructional/tutorial page) to make hyperlinks?
I see Ian Smith's comment above has a hyperlink to the article from Dr. Moore.
I think this would be better than posting links and making people copy and paste.
Also, I know that we can use bold and italics here (not sure what a refers to). If I could get some insight how to do that it would also be greatly appreciated.
My stone tablet and abacus gets me along well enough, but I would love to join you in the modern world if I can.
Thanks in advance.
Rosa Parks does NOT belong on our money!
Maybe on a roll of toilet paper, but certainly not on legal tender.

I doubt Moore said that.
I have a question relative to this post. All of the computer generations of the continents always show the continents WHERE THEY WERE millions of years ago BUT!!! I would suggest doing a forward evolution to see where the continents are going to be in 50 million years. I suggest that the atmosphere is being spun off into space and that the continents are being spun to the equator at which point the earth will be spinning faster slinging our atmosphere even more into space until the Earth looks like Mars or Detroit! Arm up white people, time is coming in less than 13 months.
Personally, I'm a global warming pessimist. Is climate change being triggered by human activity? Yep - just as surely as fish species that once were plentiful have been wiped out by human activity. Can we do anything about it? Nope. It's too late, and it was never going to happen. Politically impossible. Yes, the ice shelves will melt; yes, the waters will rise; yes, rainfall patterns will be changed for an aeon. There will be drought, famine, and war. Hell yes.
So the governments and the people of the world should be preparing for the inevitable, rather than quibbling.
As for St John's Wort: it's an SSRI, same as all the others. The difference between a dried herb from the hippie shop and a pill produced by a drug manufacturer is that just don't know how much active ingredient you are getting when you go to the hippie shop. Science is better than superstition. As Tim Minchin said: "You know what they call alternative medicine that works? Medicine."
Thanks. That has been added to my loop with this, Amren, etc. It is a good one.
Caveman,
Not sure if you're still checking this thread, but try this link.
If I didn't screw up, it should lead to a tutorial on HTML.
For the level I use in forums, there are a few effects, such as bold and italic that I use. To do it, you type in a tag where you want it to start, and then a different one where you want it to end.
For example: bold.
is written (b)bold.(/b)
Except instead of parenthesis, surround the b and the /b with less-than and greater than symbols. I don't remember how to make them appear, but if I type them, they won't be displayed.
I would advise practising on your own computer. Write something using HTML in a .txt document on your PC. Then change the extension to .html, and open it with your browser of choice.
As an odd aside. I learned basic HTML in High School. My French class, of all things, required that a paper be submitted in webpage format. Truly a bizarre requirement, but I think I learned something useful from it, so I'm not complaining.

Bingo. That what got me and it spiraled downhill. I never made the switch to heroin, but now looking back I wish I had. I wouldn't have spent half as much money as I did before getting off it. Suboxone saved me an I am still on it 9 years later. The key to getting away from it is not to blame Doctors or anyone or anything else. Blame yourself and yourself only. We all have been told "Drugs are bad" all through school and should have listened.
This was not directed at anyone here. Just my story. But I have watched others use opiates occasionally without a hitch. I have also watched many people try them and "hate that feeling", while people like myself loved it from the first pill. I am absolutely positive that the people who become opiate junkies are people with the chemical makeup that causes depression, and those who do not like the feeling do not have that chemical makeup. Had I been medicated for depression before I found opiates, I know I would have never ended up hooked on anything.
That was very well said. And the Puritanical assault on casual sex, abortion, and recreational drug use is what made many intelligent, sensible people support Democrats. Some progress is good, and the Liberals have it right on those issues, which takes many people away from voting in the interest of their own people- the descendants of those who built this country for us.
Sorry for the loss of your friend Paul. God be with you and comfort you.
Man, what a weekend! Back on-line again.
Equating "denial" of global warming with BRA is a particularly odious type of intellectual dishonesty.
Everyone, did you see that? Did you see the EXACT mental failure I was warning you about? Equating a fact-based qualm about a position with ideological rejection is perhaps THE most insidious thinking error, and most odious type of dishonesty.
"Thinking" with your emotions or tribal alignments isn't intellectual at all. It's stupidity. If you refuse to consider the explicit physics problem before you and leap to moral judgements, you are EXACTLY the same as the SJW who refuses to consider the explicit and damning historical, criminal and now DNA evidence against Blacks before morally judging race realists. It is the SAME error. I should not have to say that YOUR TRIBE CAN BE WRONG. When your tribe is wrong it fucks itself over in the long term. The man's job in society is to see after the long term, so if you screw that up you've failed.
What's worse is that the issues of climate and race are so closely tied. Why do Whites need to live so far from their jobs, and burn so much petroleum (and waste so much time) commuting? It's because Equalist dogma disconnected from reality has made cities unsafe for White families; if we threw the third-world populations back to the rural hinterlands or their home countries/continents, this issue would disappear. We're going to have the same problem with port cities disappearing underwater, and e.g. the forested Pacific NW becoming dry Californian scrubland as the rainfall moves into Alaska and Canada. You can ignore physics and genetics, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring physics and genetics. Washington's forest fires don't go away because you refuse to believe that the climate is changing, and they won't stop getting worse because you refuse to believe YOU are changing it.
If we threw the Africans, the Mexicans, and all the others back to their home countries/continents and the levels of consumption they can sustain themselves, our CO2 emissions problem would be radically reduced; we could go back to commuting on electric streetcars and one car per family. It is ALL connected.
The question you should ask yourself is why you're so certain of something that is inherently so complicated that the only truly defensible position is it's too complicated to know for sure.
I spelled out the absolute minimal basics for you. Yes, reality is MUCH more complicated than that... but that is NO excuse for ignoring the best judgement of highly-skilled people who've DEVOTED THEIR LIVES to figuring it out on our behalf. People who spend their twenties getting PhDs and do postdoc work trying to answer questions are not motivated by money; fossil-fuel interests most certainly are, and so are those who live on donations from big foundations.
Increasing global temperature? Except for the transparent data manipulation of the faithful public servants at NASA and NOAA, not for 18 years.
The Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature project, financed by the Koch brothers, found otherwise.
Sea levels rising? Nope. Same rate they've been rising for millennia.
Sea levels are going up everywhere except where land is rebounding after the retreat of ice sheets.
Antarctic ice volume decreasing? Nope.
Liar. Antarctic ice loss measured directly by mass loss, not to mention huge losses of ice shelves and the likely irreversible loss of much more grounded ice.
The problem is you just don't know what you don't know.
Your problem is willful ignorance; you don't want to know, so you deny. This is the same thing SJWs do about race.
(continued)
I'm at peace now with this Marxist attack on our way of life
I have been grappling with Marxists for almost 4 decades. Quit being stupid. Speaking of which....
"It is a proven fact that plants, including trees and all our food crops, are capable of growing much faster at higher levels of CO2 than present in the atmosphere today."
Plant growth is subject to Liebig's Law of the Minimum. Plants require nitrogen, phosphorus, potash and water as well as CO2. Higher CO2 may help conserve water, but the rest are hard limits. 2000 ppm of CO2 may be just the thing for a well-fertilized greenhouse, but disastrous for the world.
Higher CO2 favors woody vines over trees. I am dealing with this VERY personally; poison ivy, multiflora rose, wild grape and Buddleia are overwhelming everything else on my plot.
During the past 150 million years there has not been enough addition of CO2 to the atmosphere to offset the gradual losses due to burial in sediments.
The Sun brightens by about 1% every 100 million years; to remain in equilibrium, Earth must lose enough greenhouse effect to offset that. You're making astrophysics into a moral issue, which is frankly idiotic.
Here is the shocking news. If humans had not begun to unlock some of the carbon stored as fossil fuels, all of which had been in the atmosphere as CO2 before sequestration by plants and animals, life on Earth would have soon been starved of this essential nutrient and would begin to die.
The formation of coal ended when termites evolved and halted the burial of forests, ending the Carboniferous; there are currently no seas growing and burying the masses of algae which form the shales which create petroleum. The phenomenon of which you write does not exist today. Burial of CO2 as carbonates continues, but it is REQUIRED to maintain thermal equilibrium in the face of solar brightening. If you want to change that, move Earth out so that Mars is one of its Trojans... if you can do the engineering.
The question you should ask yourself is why you're so certain of something that is inherently so complicated that the only truly defensible position is it's too complicated to know for sure.
Because we're certain enough that the effect is not zero that action is a moral imperative, just like we're certain enough that the claims underpinning BRA are wrong to make it a moral imperative to cancel it.
Okay, you quoted Moore correctly. Frankly I'm surprised that he would say that, because the amount of carbon stored in the biosphere is enormous and glaciation-related CO2 reductions are self-limiting. What would end life on Earth is when the Sun gets hot enough to keep strong weathering going even with CO2 below below the limits of even well-adapted plants. At that point you're set up for a runaway wet greenhouse, followed by baking out the world's carbonates to make a runaway dry greenhouse like Venus. This isn't supposed to happen for about 500 million years, though.
Not to redirect this conversation, but Mr. Rational threw out some numbers that have me scratching my head.
You're confusing the area of Earth's disc (πr²) with the area of the sphere (4πr²). The total area of Earth's sphere radiates heat to space, not just the disc facing the Sun.
The acid test of any scientific theory is, can it make predictions that are borne out by experience? In the case of AGW, the answer is a firm "No".
The data available are sufficient to firmly reject the null hypothesis. Quibbling about things now is the moralistic fallacy of "is vs. ought". Just because you think there OUGHT to be no effect or impact on you or the broader society, does not mean that there IS not. This is exactly what DWLs and SJWs do about racial and sexual differences; they believe there ought to be none, so they try to "fix" things so there IS none... and fail every time.

Am I reading this correctly? Are you equating "casual sex, abortion and recreational drug use" with progress? Surely, with all this progress, we should be living in a Utopia by now?
Coming from a self-confessed drug addict, I find this a strange attitude. Haven't you learned anything? You want to save European civilization, but just not the civilization part?
Howdy Anon, there is a cure to the liberal disease that's affecting American minds and its ironic that its a mental disorder called oppositional defiance disorder and is very effective aginst the liberal mind disease as well as liberating. Good luck.
Very true, I've lived all over this Country and came to the same conclusion, white people are better off living away from blacks. For mental health. Blacks are very unpleasant to be around and tend to ruin and destroy everything they get near or touch. They cause depression in every sense of the word.
