Remember 80 percent black Selma, Alabama? 

C'mon, you remember? 

It's no longer 1965 in Selma; it's 2017 and Selma is an 80 percent black city where every warning about what life would resemble under a black-controlled city government has come true

The city yearly dragged out of the closet by the religious cult running our nation demanding we bow and pray for the sins of our fathers, our deplorable souls, and all eternally damned white children who come after us.

It's always 1965 in Selma, no matter the date on the calendar. White people are always standing on the Edmund Pettus Bridge prepared to beat and humiliate innocent black people, even though in 2017 Selma, it's black people prepared to beat and humiliate innocent black people. 

Or rob them. 

Or shoot them.

The letters are bold and the message is simple; “NO MORE.” 

Employees of the Selma Public Works Department were busy assembling 500 bright blue signs bearing the words “NO MORE” Thursday morning. The signs are part of a nonviolence campaign started by Selma Mayor George Evans in response to the Dec. 21 shooting death of Selma High School student Alexis Hunter. 

The conditions found in 80 percent black Selma, Alabama and the quality of life black people (and an almost entirely black-run city government) have created in the absence of whites - even when gifted the infrastructure of a once-thriving city - is just another reminder why white people long, long ago put in place laws to protect their posterity from nature's cruelty. 

The "NO MORE" yard signs are just another visible reminder why legal restrictions were put in place to protect western civilization from Africans in America, with black on black crime now driving away every last memory of a Selma where commerce thrived, social capital was in surplus, and a better tomorrow was possible. 

Today, in 2017 Selma, an 80 percent black city annually called upon by the high priests of Black-Run America (BRA) for all white people to bow before and pray for the mercy of their wayward souls - the American version of Mecca -- black leaders actually asking black churches to... "adopt a gang member" in a last-ditch effort to stop black crime from overwhelming the city. [District attorney asks churches to ‘adopt a gang member’, Selma Times Journal, 5-29-17]:

District Attorney Michael Jackson has an idea to solve Selma’s growing gang problem, and it doesn’t include locking up gang members and throwing away the key. It’s an adoption program. 

Jackson is asking churches to adopt gang members who are leading troubled lives and steering others down that same path in hopes of turning their lives around and turning them into productive citizens. 

He held a meeting at the Carl C. Morgan Convention Center last Thursday where he proposed the idea to a group of pastors that want to make a difference in the community. 

“Most of the crime we have going on here and across the country is juveniles or young folks, and they’re involved in gangs most of them,” Jackson told the laymen. “We can’t bury our head in the sand and ignore that fact.” 

In 2016, six homicide victims were between ages 17 and 20 years old. Six more victims were between 21 and 30 years old. Nine homicide suspects were arrested last year between the ages of 19 and 27. 

Jackson asked pastors to target one gang member and show them they care about them by giving them some type of responsibility, whether it is joining the choir, serving as an usher or being a coach on a sports team. 

“Once they’re around positive people, they start changing,” Jackson said. “This ain’t no contest to see who can adopt the most gang members. We’re trying to be effective to stop all of this shooting.” 

The district attorney said many of the young men and women that are committing crimes in Selma don’t have a conscience, and that’s something he wants them to develop so they will think twice about pulling the trigger. 

“Some of these kids will kill somebody in two seconds and won’t blink an eye,” he told the pastors. 

“We want them to have a conscience so they have some second thought about what they’re doing.” 

Some pastors questioned how they could go about identifying and adopting a gang member. 

“Selma’s so small you hear things. That’ doesn’t mean it’s necessarily true about the person, but you need to take some of it and pay attention to what people tell you about a particular person,” Jackson said. 

“If you keep hearing something about somebody in your church, that’s somebody you might want to adopt. Y’all know who all is in your church.” 

Jackson said his door will be open for pastors with questions, and he plans to keep up with their progress.

“When I see y’all, I’m going to ask how it’s going,“ he said. 

“I’ve been to a lot of churches in Selma, and some of the worst folks doing things in Selma are in church.” 

Jackson said he plans to hold another meeting a year from now to see how the adoption program has made a difference.

Selma, Alabama was once a beautiful, thriving city. 

Now it's one where black leaders, on their yearly pilgrimage to summon mass white guilt via stories about Selma in 1965, look around and realize all the warnings of "racist" white people (what would happen when black people took political and demographic control of the city) came true..[Selma, 50 years after march, remains a city divided, Los Angeles Time, 3-6-15]:

"Some people have a need to not be satisfied," said Jamie Wallace, who in 1965 was an editor at the Selma Times-Journal. He stood on the Edmund Pettus Bridge with civil right marchers when they were attacked on Bloody Sunday. He and other newspaper staffers resisted enormous pressure from advertisers, subscribers and the Selma elite to ignore the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and the marchers. 

This weekend, he will be presented a Living Legend Award by Selma's mayor, a black man. Things were bad in 1965, Wallace said. They are still bad. 

"But I dispute anyone who claims we didn't change anything," he said. "We went from an all-white power structure to all black. That means something." 

The Rev. Jesse Jackson sat nearby on a wicker sofa, watching Sanders and her volunteers work. "People coming to Selma in a celebration mood should be in a protest mood," he said. Sanders agreed. 

"Sixty percent of Selma's children live in poverty," she told him. Jackson nodded. 

"People assume there is a correlation between political power and economic power," he said. But a black power structure — mayor, city council, police force — is not enough. 

"You change the political power, and the white business owners just move outside the city. So you have power over a doughnut hole. We need help to climb out of the doughnut hole," he said. 

He went on to describe a plan in which the government would intervene to stop people from relocating their businesses. "It's the only way," Jackson said.

"Adopt a gang member."

"NO MORE" yard signs, a melancholy attempt to convince black people to stop killing one another.

And a call from one black agitator to have the black-controlled city government enact racial socialism to stop privately-held white businesses from relocating their business elsewhere...

This is life in 2017 Selma, Alabama, an 80 percent black city, where every warning of white people long ago about the consequences of western civilization being usurped by Africans in America came true.

True story: back in 2011, I made the mistake of attending a bachelor party in Myrtle Beach during Black Bike Week. When we booked the weekend, we had no idea what we were about to be exposed to (the incredibly cheap rental for an amazing beach-front property should have been the first warning sign), but quickly learned the uncomfortable nature of thousand of black bikers bringing their culture to a beautiful city. 

The 2017 version of Black Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina went off with no violence or shootings, meaning the local paper had something to brag about!

And for the 2017 version of the event, the Myrtle Beach Online actually published a story bragging about how no one was shot during Black Bike Week.
But not before private businesses in Myrtle Beach were warned by the NAACP they better stay open to serve black bikers (who import otherwise rare violence to the city every Black Bike Week). [NAACP warns businesses not to close or refuse service during black bike week, Myrtle Beach Online, May 25, 2017]:

NAACP officials are in town this weekend to monitor the treatment of black tourists by businesses and police during the Atlantic Beach bikefest — a task they’ve undertaken for a decade since a discrimination lawsuit against Myrtle Beach was settled.

Instead of moving forward, local and national chapter officials say the Grand Strand is still unwelcoming of the bike rally and motorcycle enthusiasts who stream into the area every Memorial Day weekend, bringing with them an economic boost for local businesses. 

At a news conference Thursday in front of the Sandy Grove Baptist Church, NAACP officials said discrimination is still evident in the enormous police presence they say doesn’t exist during the bike rally for Harley riders that precedes black bike week, or any other holiday weekend. 

“We know about how during Harley week, they would have signs up saying ‘welcome bikers,’ and then the following week during black bike week, they would take down those signs,” said Anson Asaka, associate general counsel for the NAACP. 

“The goal is to ensure that all tourists in Myrtle Beach are treated fairly and equally by the businesses and the police and the city,” Asaka said. 

Mickey James, president of the Myrtle Beach Branch NAACP, said there is no need for the enormous police presence that will top 500 officers, and urged local officials to dramatically reduce that number and eliminate the traffic loop. 

James and Asaka said some businesses close their doors during the weekend event, and that one restaurant last year would not let bikers inside, restricting them to outside service. 

“We’ve seen this with our own eyes,” Asaka said. “We’ve seen businesses close their doors and refuse to serve African Americans, we’ve seen African Americans treated like second-class citizens here in Myrtle Beach.” 

The civil rights organization criticized the 23-mile traffic loop as a tool to frustrate bike week participants. 

The loop was put in place following a 2014 shooting incident when an impromptu street party erupted during a traffic jam, killing three people and wounding five others. 

The intention of the loop was to keep traffic moving to prevent those traffic jams and street parties. 

Asaka described it as “23 miles of shame, humiliation and discrimination.” 

Asaka and James said the loop is instead the source of major traffic jams that frustrates residents, business owners and tourists, while doing nothing to curtail crime. 

“Instead of preventing crime, what this traffic plan does is it collectively punishes thousands of innocent people because of the actions of a few,” Asaka said. 

Citing a rash of violence during the Easter week, when eight shootings were reported within a week in Horry County, James said the county has a year-round crime problem. 

“We feel like they can’t point fingers now when there’s been shootings going on year-round,” James said. “We have some serious issues, not with black bike week, but with Myrtle Beach as a whole.” 

The NAACP urged participants this weekend to call their hotline at 888-362-8683 to report incidents of discrimination. 

The NAACP has before sued and settled with the City of Myrtle Beach a discrimination lawsuit.

Freedom of Association is the right to discriminate.

Freedom is the ability to discriminate.

When the NAACP is allowed to dictate terms of surrender to white-owned businesses in Myrtle Beach, we have tyranny and a totalitarian mindset in control of privately-owned businesses.

The Visible Black Hand of Economics is in control of Myrtle Beach, where once the free market was allowed to actually practice freedom and privately-owned businesses were allowed to discriminate.

A veritable police state is needed to keep the peace during Black Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, which the NAACP bitterly complains about. Hilariously, the local newspaper brags about the lack of violence or shootings as if this some great achievement.

The moral of the story? Without freedom of association, you surrender to state-mandated tyranny (which assumes all white people are guilty of being associated with the bigotry of their ancestors).

It will just take one spark to light a fire consuming the entire nation.

Perhaps it will happen in 2017, perhaps it won't.

Robbed at gun point by two black teens (14 and 15) in 28 percent Indianapolis

But at this point, the hot sun of racial reality evaporates lies of equality on a daily basis, forcing an increasingly nervous elite to double-down on egalitarianism (with their public relations assets the mainstream, corporate media acting as crisis management). 

What remains is a reminder why our ancestors dared codify into law protections for their posterity from the inability of blacks to assimilate to western civilization (or maintain it in the absence of whites).
Because violence is reaching record levels in 28 percent black Indianapolis (58 percent white, down from close to 80 percent white in 1990), the city has re-instituted the Indianapolis Violence Reduction Partnership:

The IVRP is a collaboration of officers and detectives who work the streets, bringing their knowledge of crime and criminals to supervisors who can identify patterns across jurisdictions and commit to investigations that result in criminal cases brought forth by county and federal prosecutors. 

IMPD Chief Bryan Roach said investigators will emphasize attention to chronic violent offenders, probation and parole violators and case reviews to make sure no investigation or prosecution falls through the cracks, including “a joint federal and local police and prosecutor firearms review so any firearms case that law enforcement develops will be reviewed to see if it warrants or we get a better bang for our buck going through the federal system or the state system.” 

The re-introduction of the IVRP, a cooperative agreement that lasted through the 1990s until 2004, is the latest promise of a unified local, state and federal approach to solving crime in Indianapolis.

More police interacting with black criminals equals a greater risk of The Happening occurring. In Indianapolis, 90 percent or more of violent crime is committed by blacks (robbery, homicide, nonfatal shootings, assault) and the re-launched IVRP will attempt to bring law and order into areas of a city increasingly becoming just another Memphis, Detroit or Baltimore. 

Why mention this? Because as Indianapolis becomes just another metropolis whose best days are in the past (because the white population responsible for the city's ascension have fled and the new black majority - cause of white flight - steers what's left of western civilization into Africanization), glimpses of a non-white future appear. [IndyCar driver Scott Dixon, retired racer Dario Franchitti robbed at Taco Bell, Indianapolis Star, May 22, 2017]:

Verizon IndyCar Series Scott Dixon and retired racer Dario Franchitti were robbed at gunpoint in a Taco Bell drive-thru Sunday night, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police reported.

No one was injured in the encounter.

According to the police report, the robbery occurred around 10 p.m. ET, just hours after Dixon won the pole for the Indianapolis 500. The Taco Bell is located less than a mile away from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police said they arrested two teenagers, ages 14 and 15, in connection with the robbery of credit cards and other personal valuables from Dixon, his wife, and Franchitti. Both teens were charged with robbery, and the 15-year old was also charged with resisting law enforcement.

The report lists Dixon’s wife, Emma Davies-Dixon, as a third victim of the robbery, but Police spokesman Aaron Hamer said Dixon's wife was not in the vehicle at the time and the investigation was ongoing.

Tony Kanaan, Dixon’s Chip Ganassi Racing teammate said, said Dixon had his wife’s wallet at the time of the incident. Kanaan said Dixon was making a food run for a group of drivers, including himself.

“While they were ordering with their windows down two guys approached at gun point,” Kanaan told The Indianapolis Star. “They held a gun at Dixon’s head and asked him for his wallet and his phone.

“You don’t expect that to happen, especially here.”

Dixon and Franchitti did not speak with reporters Monday.

When robbery detectives arrived at the scene, the officers viewed surveillance footage and noticed a suspicious vehicle had been on the property before the robbery.

"Officers on scene of the robbery informed other officers that were in the area of the suspected vehicle description," said an IMPD statement. "Nearly a half-hour later, officers located the vehicle in question and were able to stop the car which had driven away from the scene."

Police said one of the suspects attempted to run but was caught by a K-9 officer. By the end of the incident, the two boys were taken into custody on suspicion of felony robbery. One suspect was transported to the Marion County Holding at Eskenazi Hospital and the other was sent to the Juvenile Detention Center, police said. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a charging decision.

The Happening.

The black community has been fed the idea of equality with the whites and every failure to achieve the same standard of living as whites (or same net worth, same arrest rate, same STD rate, same school discipline rate or same credit score) or parity in every metric measuring quality of life can only be explained away as white supremacy rearing its ugly head. 

Because if we are equal - as the propaganda from the elite insists - white supremacy/systemic racist/white privilege can be the only culprit holding blacks down, instead of blacks and their own genetic limitations when exposed to western civilization. 

 The Happening... Indianapolis is the city where it is likely to occur. Right in the heart of America. 

In Span of Five Days, Two Vigils for Slain Blacks Shot Up by Other Blacks in Nearly 70% Black Memphis

Nearly 70 percent black Memphis is entering a post-white civilization phase

But what just occurred in Memphis, in a five day span of black dysfunction only conceivably possible in the imagination of Thomas Dixon, proves we are nearing the extinguishing of all hope for the city. 

Not one, but two vigils for black people were the scene of drive-by shootings. [Shots fired during candleight vigil, Fox 13 Memphis, May 17, 2017]:

A Memphis teen was set to graduate in July, but this week  he became one of the city’s latest victims of homicide.  Friends and family of the teenager came together for a candlelight vigil Tuesday night.  However, gunfire erupted yet again when several shooters opened fire.  His family is calling what happened an act of revenge, but are also praying the violence will stop. 

Dozens came out to remember Eric Niles, 19, when the unimaginable happened."A few cars just rode past shooting," the victim’s older brother Eddie Niles recalled. 

Eddie said he is still struggling to make sense of why his baby brother, out of seven siblings--was shot to death.  Eddie also wants to know who would bring even more violence to his mother's home. 

"Over 100-something shots," Eddie Niles said. 

Eric was one of two gunned down at the Sycamore Lake Apartments Monday night.  Police said what happened at the apartment complex was a botched robbery that took a deadly turn. 

“He made a bad decision," Eddie said. 

Just 24 hours after the fatal shooting, friends and family came together to remember the teen--who two weeks before celebrated his birthday. 

"There's enough violence going on in Memphis,” Eddie said.  “We should try to find some peace on both sides." 

Eddie said what happened during the vigil, was anything but peaceful. 

"Ducking, running, screaming,” Eddie recalled.  “Kids were out here falling and crying. It was scary."

Making matters worse, Eddie Niles said the shooters came to the candlelight vigil, before eventually getting into their cars and firing off dozens of rounds.  Eddie believes what happened was a case of retaliation. 

"Both sides are hurting, I can't understand why it's an ongoing thing,” Eddie said.  “We didn't have anything to do with it."

No, it's not exactly unimaginable, when vigils held by blacks in Memphis before have been targeted by other blacks, or because another vigil was targeted a mere five days later. [3 people shot at vigil for Memphis teen who was killed by stray bullet last year, WREG.com, May 22, 2017]

Shots rang out while people were gathered at a vigil to remember a victim of gunfire. 

The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. at Mississippi Boulevard and St. Paul Avenue, where a vigil was being held for Myneisha Johnson, an 18-year-old who was killed by a stray bullet downtown. Friends were marking the one-year anniversary of her death. 

Witnesses say as soon as they started lighting candles, two cars pulled up and started shooting. Witnesses told WREG they heard more than 100 gunshots. 

Police said one of the victims is in critical condition and two others are noncritical. 

Police originally said there was a fourth victim but later said they could only confirm three who were shot; they are checking local hospitals for any other victims. 

A preliminary investigation shows two parties got into a confrontation, and the vigil was a separate group that got caught in the crossfire. 

Police think the shots were fired from vehicles but have not confirmed that yet.

Remember Colin Kaepernick? ESPN and the corporate media's favorite mulatto quarterback is currently unemployed, many believing he's been blackballed for his decision to protest the National Anthem of a nation scarcely even existing anymore.

Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick's jersey he wore while protesting the National Anthem in 2016 were donated to the Smithsonian. 

Harry Edwards, a sociologist and a long-time San Francisco 49ers advisor, reached out to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. 

"I said, 'Don't wait 50 years to try to get some memorabilia and so forth on Kaepernick,'" Edwards told USA TODAY Sports. "'Let me give you a game jersey, some shoes, a picture … And it should be put right there alongside Muhammad Ali. He's this generation's Ali.'" 

After ending his protest, Kaepernick has found other ways to get his message across.  

Earlier this month, the free agent quarterback brought his Know Your Rights Camp to Chicago, in which over 200 campers attended workshop on topics such as financial literacy, nutrition and how to deal with law enforcement among others. A few months earlier, in January, Kaepernick donated $25,000 to a Chicago non-profit organization that shares his vision for helping communities help themselves. 

At the end of the camp, the participants were given a backpack that consisted of ancestry kits and a copy of The Autobiography of Malcolm X.

How to deal with law enforcement? Don't break the law and always cooperate with police. 

Trayvon Martin (whose famed hoodie might appear in the same museum). Michael Brown. Colin Kaepernick.

Back in 2008, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks were rated as America's greatest heroes.

For the decade we are currently enduring, Martin, Brown, and Kaepernick are names we are force-fed on a daily basis until we become gluttons, advocating exclusively for black rights and for black advancements with every fiber of our bodies.

It was already too late, Clint.

Speaking during an on-stage interview at the Cannes Film Festival, the 86-year-old actor and director said: “A lot of people thought it was politically incorrect. 

“That was at the beginning of the era that we’re in now, where everybody thinks everyone’s politically correct. We’re killing ourselves by doing that. 

“We’ve lost our sense of humour.” 

‘Dirty Harry’ does feature as its antagonist a racist, homophobic serial murderer in actor Andy Robinson’s deranged Scorpio. 

Clint has long railed against so-called political correctness. 

Following Donald Trump’s inflammatory, racially-charged remarks in the lead-up to the US presidential election last year, Clint said we needed to ‘f**king get over it’. 

“We’re really in a pussy generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells,” he said in an interview with Esquire. 

“We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. 

“When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist. Secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. 

“[When I did] Gran Torino, even my associate said, ‘This is a really good script, but it’s politically incorrect’. And I said, ‘Good. Let me read it tonight’. The next morning, I came in and I threw it on his desk and I said, ‘We’re starting this immediately’.”

In the incredible book Bronson's Loose!: The Making of the Death Wish Films, we learn just how deep the infection of political correctness was in the early 1970s, just after Dirty Harry had been released:

In Garfield's novel [Death Wish], the pivotal attack on the wife and daughter is not describe, and there is no rape. Mayes's screenplay also had the assault taking place off-screen. But Winner shot a repulsive and vicious scene that showed both women being beaten and humiliated and the daughter being sexually assaulted. The director explains, "I thought that the audience had to be geared up to so hate the people that did this, that they wanted that type of person killed. I think you had to show [the attack] in order to get the audience sympathetic to Bronson going out and killing people." 

The sequence is one of the most brutal ever shown in a mainstream film and was made even more shocking by the presence of the classy Lange as one of the victims. (One effective camera angle represents the wife's point of view as she sees her daughter being violated.) 

In Death Wish, Winner topped his disturbing scene in Chato's Land, where the Bronson character's wife is gang-raped and degraded.  

Adding to the queasiness of the scene are the performances of the three scary-looking actors who played the attackers. "You're looking for a villain to be as horrible as possible so the audience really hates him, and then they don't mind of he or his mates are killed," Winner explains. The screenplay specifically called for several of the mugger characters to be black, but Paramount executive Frank Yablans, concerned that the film would be racist, urged the director to limit the number of African Americans that were cast as thugs. Sorry Clint Eastwood, but political correctness had already killed cinema three years after your Dirty Harry came out.

The rot runs deep. It was already terminal in 1974. Forty three years later, it's merely festering on carrion.

NOLA Mayor Blames Confederate Monuments for People Leaving City, Though Black Population Rose 39.6% between 1960 and 2000

• The city was 70 percent white and 30 percent black.

New Orleans was 70 percent white in 1950. It only became a "Chocolate City" after the fall of segregation and restrictive covenants made protecting white civilization from black depravity illegal in the eyes of the U.S. Constitution

• The city was 62.5 percent white and 37 percent black.

• The city was 54.4 percent white and 45 percent black. 

Flash back to 1980 New Orleans. 

• The city was 42.5 percent white and 55 percent black.

• The city was 34.9 percent white and 61.9 percent black.

• The city was 28 percent white and 67 percent black.

The city of New Orleans reached a high population of 627,525 in 1960, declining to a population of just 484,674 in 2000. There were 392,649 whites in New Orleans in 1960 - when they represented 62.5 percent of the city - and in 2000, there were 135,956 whites in the city. 

Or, the white population decreased 65.37% between 1960 and 2000 in New Orleans. 

There were 233,344 blacks in New Orleans in 1960 - when they represented 37 percent of the city - and in 2000, there were 325,947 blacks in the city. 

Or, the black population increased 39.6% between 1960 and 2000 in New Orleans.

Louisiana – Mayor Mitch Landrieu (D) says residents of his city left because of monuments dedicated to Civil War-era icons. 

In a press scrum, Landrieu told the media that the Confederate monuments, which he is in the final stages of removing, “have run people out of the city.” 

“But I will say this for people that are interested in the cost,” Landrieu said. 

“The cultural and economic and the spiritual loss to this city for having those statues up that have run people out of the city,” Landrieu claimed. “The great migration that sent some of our best and brightest to places across the country that we don’t have the benefit of has been incredible.” 

Historians, in the past, have said that the opposite is true of New Orleans, however, arguing that the city attracts tourists and residents because of its rich history and public museum-like displays. 

Landrieu made the statement hours before the City began removing one of the most famous monuments, a statue of General Robert E. Lee at Lee Circle. Other monuments already removed by the Landrieu Administration include the Battle at Liberty Place, Jefferson Davis, and the P.G.T. Beauregard Monuments.Landrieu’s comments were made despite no evidence showing such a migration in the last decade due to the Civil War-era monuments.

Hunter Wallace noted the inconvenient truth of the racial reason behind New Orleans population decline: black crime and the fear of being a victim of random black crime drove whites away once the legal protections of Jim Crow, restrictive covenants, and segregation made living in the city an untenable option for those white parents worried about the new integrated world (and homicide in New Orleans has always been a black-in-origin phenomenon):

Maybe the Confederate monuments caused their >75 IQ too? 

The Confederate and Reconstruction monuments in New Orleans were erected in 1884 (Robert E. Lee), 1891 (Liberty Place), 1911 (Jefferson Davis) and 1915 (P.G.T. Beauregard). According to the US Census Bureau, the population of New Orleans grew in every decade of the Jim Crow era. 

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 brought the end of white supremacy and segregation in New Orleans. From the 1960 to the 2010 Census, New Orleans has lost 283,696 residents under integration. Many of these residents were black and were temporarily displaced by Hurricane Katrina. They are now returning to New Orleans which is reverting to pre-Katrina levels of violent crime. 

That’s what really caused the Great Migration out of New Orleans.

The Civil War monuments didn't cause people to abandon the city of New Orleans: prior to Hurricane Katrina, a most unnatural disaster befell the city of New Orleans as the Civil Rights victory compelled white people to abandon the city their ancestors built so that their progeny could live safe and free from the black dysfunction Jim Crow and segregation once protected them from. 

The white population decreased 65.37% between 1960 and 2000 in New Orleans. 

The black population increased 39.6% between 1960 and 2000 in New Orleans. 

Even though the Robert E. Lee statue might have been pulled down in New Orleans - erected in 1884 - his wisdom about black people's contribution to American life is as true as it ever was: 

 “I have always observed that wherever you find the negro, everything is going down around him, and wherever you find the white man, you see everything around him improving.”

It was the blacks, unleashed from the restrictions white people long ago enshrined into law to protect their descendants from black depravity, who drove productive white people from New Orleans. 

Not monuments, but blacks.
