Violence in Community Mein Obama Organized Reaching Epic Levels

Father's Day weekend in Chicago, the city Mein Obama calls home and where he 'community organized' with such gusto, was a city of ruin and despair (map of crime in Chicago found here).

Something straight out of a grindhouse film transpired, leaving little doubt that the community Mein Obama organized is anything but disorganized:

Eight people were killed and at least 44 others were shot across the city Friday night into early Monday, including a baby girl who suffered a graze wound to the neck when gunfire erupted at a Near West Side barbecue.

Those killed included a 28-year-old man found shot in the chest about 3 a.m. Monday in the 7500 block of South Halsted Street near a South Side church, according to Gresham District police. A passing motorist found the man, identified as Credale Woulard, of 7711 S. Ada St., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He was dressed in women's clothing and was found lying dead on the sidewalk.

In the South Side Englewood neighborhood, 44-year-old Darryl Dunn was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in the 7200 block of South Marshfield Avenue at 2:02 a.m. Monday, authorities said.

About 1:52 a.m. Monday, 25-year-old Larry Johnson of 14003 Park Ave. in Lansing was shot in the 6400 block of South Ingleside Avenue in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood. He died nearly two hours later at a hospital, police said.

Durwin Hackman, 20, of 3117 W. 172nd St. in Hazel Crest, was killed in a shooting that also injured two others about 11:10 p.m. in the 700 block of West 111th Street in the Far South Side Roseland neighborhood. The three victims were involved in a verbal altercation over a female when other males began to shoot before fleeing the scene.

A 19-year-old man was also taken to Christ Hospital with a gunshot wound to his abdomen and he was listed in critical condition, police said. The third victim, a 21-year-old man, was in "stable" condition at Christ Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left arm.

Three men, two of whom were related, were found fatally shot in the West Side Lawndale neighborhood early Saturday in what police consider gang-related slayings.

The victims were 25-year-old Waseem Smith, 45-year-old Barry Smith and 28-year-old Leon Smith, according to the medical examiner's office. They were shot just after 3 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Springfield Avenue, police said. Police found two of the men in separate cars and the third lying on the street outside one of the cars.

A 19-year-old man died Sunday night after being shot in the head Friday night in the 1800 block of West 87th Street, police said. Pierre York of 8647 S. Wood St. was walking down the street with a friend when they were confronted by a gunman, who fled after shooting York, police said.

In addition to the homicides, at least nine people were shot early Monday, including four men and a baby girl who were injured when gunfire erupted during an outside barbecue on the Near West Side early Monday.

The shooting happened at 12:11 a.m. at 1334 W. Hastings St, according to a Monroe District police lieutenant. Several people attending the barbecue heard shots fired and "everybody started running," the lieutenant said.

One shot struck a 1-year-old girl, who suffered a graze wound to the neck. Four men were also shot, police said. One of the victims, a 34-year-old man, was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The other three men suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

On Sunday, at least 10 people were shot, including a 16-year-old girl who was critically wounded when shots rang out during a fight on a South Side street.

The girl was standing outside at 1251 E. 78th St. at 8:15 p.m. when several fights broke out and one person pulled out a handgun, according to a South Chicago District police captain. The girl was struck in the back and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition.

On an especially violent Saturday, at least 21 people were shot. That included five people injured in four shootings in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood, just blocks from the annual Puerto Rican festival.

Following Friday's violent storms, at least one person was injured in a shooting on the South Side.

Cook County is home to violent block parties and people who find cooperating with police an unacceptable way to pass the time. Of course, in Los Angeles and Seattle cooperating with the police also are deemed unpleasant activities. Indianapolis as well, where an unrelated incident recently transpired that many claim reeks of racial overtones (remember, anytime a white police officer arrests a non-white only racism can explain the action as no justifiable offense can warrant such action).

The National Guard
couldn't restore order, serenity and safety to Chicago at this point.

Kneel before Zod-Obama? Look to the community he organized and see the current state of Chicago as but a microcosm for the future of the nation.

SBPDL once heard that it will take dramatic examples to shake people from their apathy. The irreplaceable website Thugreport.com acts as an aggregate for crime and murder reports from across the nation, attempting to show no bias in the process.

Yet a discernible pattern emerges that would require unprecedented machinations to fabricate and can no longer be explained as an elaborate ploy of The Man to suppress Black people nationwide.

To orchestrate a vast conspiracy to implicate Black people as purveyors of criminality in virtually every city in America would necessitate a sophisticated network of informants to continually slander and libel said people as proponents of unrelenting debauchery and degradation.

However, no underground conspiratorial network is needed to accomplish this feat: consult your local nightly news for the unvarnished truth.

Police brutality seems the only determent to escalating levels of Black violence, which seem to be ingrained through nature instead of nurture.

Newsone.com publishes a vital guide for Black people to consult when they face a police confrontation, so that they can then milk the inevitable encounter for as much monetary gain as possible.

As evidenced by Chicago, cooperating with police is the least of Black peoples worries in 2010: cooperating with each other is most pressing.

Dramatic examples to shake people from their apathy? What will it take?

Detroit Public Schools President Otis Mathis and that scene from "There's Something About Mary"

There's something about Detroit Public Schools President Otis Mathis:
One day after facing accusations of fondling himself, Detroit Public Schools President Otis Mathis wrote a letter to colleagues today blaming "ongoing health problems" for his "poor judgment."

The letter, which attempted to rescind his resignation he submitted Thursday, doesn't explicitly address accusations from Superintendent Teresa Gueyser that he touched himself during a private meeting.

But Mathis acknowledged that he "made inappropriate actions toward a professional employee of the board" and promises to remove himself from personnel decisions involving her.

"I am following up with my doctors because I need to pursue treatment, and because I want to make sure that what happened doesn't ever happen again," Mathis said. "However, I do not need to resign in order to take care of my health."

The letter to colleagues came the same day board Vice President Anthony Adams today released a two-page letter from Gueyser accusing Mathis of fondling himself during a meeting this week. She called it his "usual habit" during one-on-one meetings. She said she tries to ignore it.

"On many occasions, I have asked him not to touch himself," she wrote in the letter dated Wednesday.

Mathis attended the board's 5 p.m. meeting today, but sat in the front row of the audience. His name plate was already removed from the board table. Adams said the board won't comment further on the controversy and is moving forward as if "he is no longer a board member."

Board member Reverend David Murray called the allegations "a terrible thing" but said he doesn't believe the 55-year-old Mathis should quit.

"It happens to a lot of young men. They engage in behavior they feel is harmless and it's offensive to certain people," Murray said. "... It could be deemed offensive, but some women are more sensitive to those types of things than others."

"I feel bad for him because he probably felt that it was something she would probably like or she got humor out of it."

Gueyser's letter describes in detail an incident during a meeting about her employment agreement. Her contract is to be reviewed tonight.

"President Mathis continued to fondle his genital area for approximately 20 minutes, or the entire time I was talking," Gueyser wrote. "At one point, I lifted some papers from my binder above my eyes to separate my peripheral view in order to avoid watching his activity."

To abandon Detroit is to abandon Black America, but middle class Black residents are beginning to leave the city in droves leaving a city populated and run by alleged perverts as The Wall Street Journal reports:
This shrinking city needs to hang on to people like Johnette Barham: taxpaying, middle-class professionals who invest in local real estate, work and play downtown, and make their home here.

Ms. Barham just left. And she's not coming back.

In seven years as a homeowner in Detroit, she endured more than 10 burglaries and break-ins at her house and a nearby rental property she owned. Still, she defied friends' pleas to leave as she fortified her home with locks, bars, alarms and a dog.

Then, a week before Christmas, someone torched the house and destroyed almost everything she owned.

In March, police arrested a suspect in connection with the case, someone who turned out to be remarkably easy to find. For Ms. Barham, the arrest came one crime too late. "I was constantly being targeted in a way I couldn't predict, in a way that couldn't be controlled by the police," she says. "I couldn't take it anymore."

Ms. Barham's journey from diehard to defector illustrates the precarious state of Detroit today. The city—which has shed roughly 1 million residents since the 1950s—is now losing the African-American professionals who had stayed steadfastly, almost defiantly, loyal.

Through decades of white flight and economic distress, these diehards have sustained the city's cultural institutions and allowed prime neighborhoods such as Indian Village and Palmer Woods to stave off the blight that infects large swaths of Detroit.

Today, frustrated by plummeting property values and high crime, many diehards have hit their breaking point. Their exodus is consigning borderline neighborhoods to full-blown blight and putting prime residential areas at risk. By some estimates, this year's Census will show a population drop of 150,000 people from the 951,000 people who lived within city limits in 2000. That would be roughly double the population loss in the 1990s, when black, middle-class flight began replacing white flight as the prevailing dynamic.

There are other signs the middle class is throwing in the towel. From 1999 to 2008, median household income in Detroit dropped nearly 25% to $28,730, after growing 17% in the 1990s, according to Data Driven Detroit, a nonprofit that analyzes Census data for the city. Over that period, the proportion of owner-occupied homes fell to 39% from 49%, while the proportion of vacant homes nearly tripled to 28%.

You always hear white people say they move to whitopia's for the 'good schools' that their children will attend, forever fearful of admitting why those schools are so good. A cursory glance at Detroit, where Mr. Otis Mathis finds 'choking the chicken' a more suitable action at a Board of Education meeting than fixing the city's near 50 percent illiteracy rate provides an incredible glance into part of the problem.

Of course, Mr. Mathis is also the same individual who confessed to being incapable of putting together a lucid sentence, despite his apparent dexterity in 'rubbing one out':

As if Detroit doesn't have enough problems these days, the president of the city's school board offered the shocking admission that he can't pen a coherent sentence.

Otis Mathis, who oversees the academic future of 90,000 public school students, told the Detroit News that he's a "horrible writer" after reports surfaced that he sent a Feb. 29 e-mail to the financial manager of Detroit Public Schools that was rife with spelling, punctuation and usage errors.

"If you saw Sunday's Free Press that shown Robert Bobb the emergency financial manager for Detroit Public Schools, move Mark Twain to Boynton which have three times the number seats then students and was one of the reason's he gave for closing school to many empty seats," the e-mail read, according to the paper.

Mathis, 56, of Detroit, has had difficulties with language as early as fourth grade, when he was placed in special education classes. His college degree was also held up for more than a decade due to repeatedly failing English proficiency exams required for graduation from Wayne State University, the paper reported.

Some parents are now questioning whether Mathis is fit for his role. "It's kind of scary to even talk about," Patrick Martin, 49, a Detroit contractor whose 12-year-old son is a student at Noble Middle School, told the paper. "If this is the leader, what does it say about the followers? It explains a lot about why there's so much confusion and infighting with the board and Robert Bobb."

Mathis has also worked as a substitute teacher in Detroit schools, which are ranked among the lowest-achieving metropolitan public school districts in the country. But he told the paper his story is about someone who has managed his limitations.

"Instead of telling them that they can't write and won't be anything, I show that cannot stop you," Mathis told the paper. "If Detroit Public Schools can allow kids to dream, with whatever weakness they have, that's something. ... It's not about what you don't have. It's what you can do."

The Detroit News reports the school system in Detroit is the worst in the nation. A school system is only as proficient as the students who sit in the classrooms, regardless of the amount of Crusading White Pedagogues attempting to Teach for America and enlighten the minds of the hopelessly erudite-less masses.

Of course, President Otis Mathis - who resigned his post as president of the school system only to ask for it back (apparently he.. misfired?) - can't be blamed for all the problems plaguing Detroit, the nations most violent city.

The glory of earning that ignominious title falls squarely on the shoulders of the cities Black residents.

Now, being inclined to participate in chronic masturbation - even to the point of fondling oneself in the workplace - well... that seems to be a skill that Mr. Mathis can add to his resume.

There's something about Otis Mathis besides his self-acknowledged inability to formulate a rational sentence, and in case you ever have the chance to shake his hand, that isn't gel in his hand.

Otis Mathis joins Alvin Greene in the Pantheon of Stuff Black People Don't Like Heroes.

We don't like poking fun at Detroit here at SBPDL, it's just sometimes that city blows an impressive load that we can't help but comment on. Wasting raccoons is one thing; Otis Mathis pulling a Judge Reinhold from Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a horse of a different color.

Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood has been confirmed as Otis Mathis' favorite song.

Who knows how long this story will last online, but to watch a news report on Mr. Mathis, click here to see the ABC affiliate in Detroit report.

#107. Pixar Films

Disney recently produced its first full length cartoon starring a Black character, The Princess and the Frog.

Strangely, this movie failed to find a wide audience and floundered at the box office. Today, Disney releases another Pixar created film - Toy Story 3. Pixar Studios saved Disney in the 1990s from a string of failed box office disappointments and rejuvenated interest in cartoons, though in a completely different direction:
Pixar Animation Studios is an American CGI animation production company based in Emeryville, California, United States. To date, the studio has earned twenty-four Academy Awards, six Golden Globes, and three Grammys, among many other awards, acknowledgments and achievements and has made $5.5 billion worldwide. It is one of the most critically acclaimed film studios of all time, and, according to Rotten Tomatoes, perhaps the most critically acclaimed film studio of all time[1][2]. It is currently the only film studio to have produced a film franchise of which all its films have received a 100% "Certified Fresh" rating on the site (Toy Story). It is best known for its CGI-animated feature films which are created with PhotoRealistic RenderMan, its own implementation of the industry-standard Renderman image-rendering API used to generate high-quality images.
Odd, Pixar films have utilized primarily white voices in the films they produce and overwhelming white characters. In fact, Samuel L. Jackson is the most high-profiled Black supplier of a voice to a Pixar film and yet, he is merely a secondary character in the 2004 film The Incredibles.

Woody, Buzz Lightyear, The Parr family in The Incredibles and virtually every person (in many Pixar films, the main characters are fish, monsters, cars, bugs or rats virtually all voiced by white people) in Pixar films is white.

Diversity must have been left on the cutting room floor of Pixar as this noble idea is left out of every Pixar film. It seems story-telling, narrative and ingenuity are in demand at this company.

Odd though, this lack of diversity in the actual people that populate the world of Pixar films has lead to only massive box office returns.

One website discussed the lack of diversity in Pixar films, but failed to address the real problem inherent in the discussion: Pixar's usage of white people in their films and voices provided primarily by white actors correlates to massive box office returns.

Some have even dared to label Pixar... conservative!

In fact, Pixar's films have had the incredible ability to upset special interest groups, such as a group of obese people who found the film WALL-E intolerant to their collectively turgid ways:
WALL-E has garnered rave reviews for its satire on consumer culture, in which future humans are depicted as a group of obese gluttons who never leave their padded floating arm chairs.

But one group is not amused - the swelling ranks of fat pride groups, who believe the film propagates anti-obesity hysteria comparable with the quest for the perfect body by the eugenics movement in Nazi Germany.

The backlash has become a cause celebre for a growth industry in the United States, where pro-flab "fat-tivists" are campaigning for human rights for the full of figure.

As the WALL-E controversy hit the headlines, the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (Naafa) was last week holding its annual convention in Los Angeles, a celebration of so-called "flabulous figures", seminars on fat discrimination, a fat fashion show, podgy pool parties and entertainment from weighty singing group The Fatimas.

Yes, the corpulent of the world found WALL-E unacceptable for its portrayal of fat people as lazy. Of course, the future of Black women isn't exactly healthy as The Atlantic magazine reports some startling news that all Black women in 30 years - if trends of overeating continue - will be considered morbidly obese.

Maybe Pixar films can be blamed for the high obesity rates among Black women.

Pixar films are stunningly white, and this translates into massive box office returns and critical acclaim from reviewers and film-goers alike.

WALL-E, The Incredibles and the Toy Story trilogy are movies that target white people. Save for Samuel L. Jackson's character, the world of Pixar is a world where Black people scarcely exist.

Stuff Black People Don't Like includes Pixar films, for a Black character outside of the redoubtable Samuel L. Jackson are few and far between in the Pixar Universe. To infinity and beyond?

In the Pixar world, this correlates to Black people being left out.
