Detroit police say two people are dead and several others wounded following a shooting at a vigil on the city's west side and a vehicle crash afterward.The most important detail was left out of the prior article.
Police were called to the home in the 14000 block of Patton Street in Detroit for the reports of shots fired.
Susie Haywood who lives in the area says, "I was asleep and boom-bam, it was like oh my god."
According to police reports, when emergency responders arrived on scene, 5 people had been shot, 1 person fatally.
Police also say that when they arrived on scene, several cars sped off.
One of the cars crashed a short distance away in the 9000 block of Burt.
"We have had very little cooperation from the people involved so we are trying to piece together events," Craig said.
A passenger in the car was ejected during the crash and died after the vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant. It is unclear if this person died as a result of the shooting or the crash itself.
Chief James Craig of the Detroit Police says, "it appears everyone was acquainted but we are not sure what started the argument."
Police say two people were taken into custody in the area of the shooting and crash; five others were taken into custody at a hospital.

Detroit police say a prayer vigil on the city’s west side turned into a deadly family feud with several people shot, a car wreck and multiple suspects under arrest.
“It appears we have eight people shot; two in custody, fleeing the scene; five in custody at the hospital that, instead of going to show support, decided to act stupid — we had to lock them up; and we have three weapons we’ve recovered,” Detroit Assistance Police Chief Steve Dolunt told WWJ’s Mike Campbell.
The situation unfolded just before 2 a.m. Friday after a prayer vigil near Patton and Kendall streets, in a neighborhood near Outer Drive and I-96.
As the vigil was wrapping up, a vehicle drove by and a gunman opened fire on the group of people standing outside. At least eight people were struck by gunfire; one man was killed.
Maurice Westley lives behind the house where the shooting took place.
“There was a short intermission and then I heard a different type of gun going off.
People were screaming and yelling and banging on doors. The shots went off, back and forth for like five minutes, or even longer,” he said. “It’s a mess but I’m not surprised at all, not in this neighborhood.”Prayer is the wrong activity for hoping to restore civilization and peace in 83 percent black Detroit.

As the doctors and ER staff huddled in theater working on mangled negros, sure as Detroit is crap, fambly members or freeinds would start arriving and demand this or gibs me dat and,of course,the screaming and falling down chimpery exhibition. DPD has a mini station in the hospital, complete with a secured lockup area. Watching opposing gang members square off and brawl in the ER was always a joy. Soon hospital security, DPD, County, and MDOC would join in the negro pile.Cuffing, leg ironing, belly chainin' the groids was fun. Gassing and tazing at times is a waste, has no effect on the apes, even the wig snatchin' females of the feces species. Cooperation that is sought from Cheif is not going to happen. The thing is, the shooting victims in the article, are Whites, and of course the groids what shot them won't talk, neither will the victims. Any snitching will be related by the ghetto assed staff working at the hospital to the shooters. Yep it's a shitty mess, Detroit is, sad thing is everyone wants to be a negro. I think it's a real comment on the times that after I read the 2nd sentence I laughed. Then dashing away in a car and crashing into a fire hydrant just adds to the farce. Being ejected from the car means somebody wasn't wearing their seatbelt - tsk, tsk. The prayer vigil/family feud was on a Thursday night and lapped over into Friday 2 am so nobody works.

The nonchalance of the original article is striking. A 2am vigil ending in violence didn't seem to be a surprising event to those involved. The only variable as opposed to other equally violent episodes is the number of killed/wounded and injury type.

I think we should have a new feature called SHOOT OUT OF THE MONTH. I remember years ago there was a "rap concert" back in the Bronx. All he had to do was stay out of crime and stay away from criminals. We live in a complex world. Life is hard, more or less. I know I frequently wonder about things, various things and why they are this way or that. I've always liked to read, especially history. The enormity of the human experience is humbling, to think of what life may have been like in different times and places. Then there's the universe and its incomprehensible infinity. I even find myself fascinated with the smallest things, electron microscope picture of insect antenna and the astonishing patterns shown, almost like a tiny piece of art.
Is any of it any good? Is there any reason to keep living? Because when I read this guy's comments they are so uniformly depressing and negative in the most spectacularly relentless way. Has anyone who lives around him not hung themselves?

Bogo is merely part of the amazing universe mentioned by Anonymous. WWM likes Bogo's style and Bogo has other admirers, but Anonymous, myself and many others don't appreciate what he does. I find his writing to be an annoying method for repeatedly regurgitating his opinions while providing nothing in the way of realistic solutions; however, some people obviously find Bogo's rants to be of value. I suggest that you tune out his rants as background noise. I don't attempt to process this noise any more than I try to understand the yapping dog behind the chain link fence that I frequently pass.

It's the unending nihilism, everything is negative, worthless and controlled by "squids". The comment that set me off was his rejection of the entire land mass of Australia. In three sentences he informed us it's a worthless place, controlled by the squids. Are there no fascinating kangaroos, the great barrier reef, all the marsupials, the history? The only thing that can be said is that it is controlled by squids. How does he move through life everyday?

One reason is that the DWL media tries to make such "teens" into little angels: honor students, aspiring rappers, skittles eaters, whatever. i.e., the "teen" is presumed innocent because of his supposedly angelic background when for no reason a big bad white (or white-hispanic) guns him down in the street.
But that works both ways. If the "teen's" background establishes his guilt or innocence, then if he was actually a criminal, perhaps the shooting had some justification.

This is a very perceptive comment, even if meant in jest. Manson's plan was to trigger a race war between blacks and whites ("Helter Skelter") which he would then exploit to seize power. Maybe for Manson it was a megalomaniac paranoid fantasy, but it is precisely what is playing out in America today.
And not just America. Look at Calais, or Rotherham, or Zimbabwe, and etc.

On the previous thread, I posted a comment about a troll that infested The Irish Savant blog for two years (still does, in fact, but is partially controlled now by moderation). This is one of its tactics for disrupting comment threads.
It looks as though the contagion has spread here.
If so, this is a serious assault on this blog. The intent is nothing less that the destruction of the blog. You people who complain occasionally about moderation, go on over to the Irish Savant and read the archives from a year or two ago. Believe me, you will bless the mods.
If SBPDL has drawn the attention of the Cyber Warriors, we must be over the target. Prepare for more dirty tricks (and dirty talk - you have no idea!). These people are relentless and dedicated. The best defense is (1) moderation, and (2) ignore them. Do not feed them.

I have no idea how to verify that anyone is who they say they are. The fact that someone began posting as The real 10mm Auto suggests that something is up. But how can anyone on this blog know which 10MM is real? Or perhaps the same 10MM posted under both nicknames to create the appearance of something strange. Or perhaps there is more than one legitimate 10MM and they both happened to post at the same time on the same blog. Unfortunately, this is something of an honor system that we all must presume is stalked by dishonorable persons. Rational disagreement doesn't necessarily mean there is an infection, but I agree with AnalogMan that we should always remember that it is a possibility.
When posters are honorable, a nickname makes it easier to associate a post with a person. But an unscrupulous person can use another person's nickname, or a person with a nickname can post under anonymous or multiple nicknames to create confusion. The only two posters that I can quickly think of as being people who could probably be reached by phone would be Pat Boyle and James Briggs. And even these two brave individuals might be posting under other nicknames. Lets all be cautious but not become paranoid.

Spewing his opinions is what keeps him going. Over the years I have met a number of people with Bogo's personality. I have never met one who could actually solve a real problem. If I have one on a team tasked with solving a problem he/she generally contributes nothing but distractions from the problem solving efforts of the others. People like this are usually unemployed, frequently live in their parent's home, and derive their self-worth through spewing their opinions and criticizing others.
