The Secret to My Success: Now Healthy Social Networks are to Blame for Black Inequality

According to the New York Times, social networks are a form of Favoritism, which equals Racism. Thus, a mechanism for inequality  

Favoritism. Having a healthy social network, friends you can call. Being gregarious or outgoing and making the right kind of ‘connections’.
This is the new frontier of discrimination in America, with weaponized equality aimless its leveling armaments squarely in the direction of nepotism.
Because Disingenuous White Liberals (DWLs) worship at the altar of equality, the only way to describe away black dysfunction is to place the blame on some outside force – instead of black people themselves.
Having strong social networks and familial bonds help strengthen communities and build the kind of social trust/capital necessary for creating the type of conditions where individuals can flourish (be it in school, business, or in finding a mate to raise a healthy family).
Those harnessing the power of weaponized equality desire completely atomized individuals in their bid to terraform what’s left of this nation in their desire image – any and all social networks constituting whatever a vague resemblance of tradition in some form must be expunged.
Enter Nancy DiTomaso, a vice dean at Rutgers Business School, and author of “The American Non-Dilemma: Racial Inequality Without Racism.” To these people, equality is a religion, thus no stone can be left unturned in investigating why inequality exists. [How Social Networks Drive Black Unemployment, New York Times, 5-5-13]:
It’s easy to believe the worst is over in the economic downturn. But for African-Americans, the pain continues — over 13 percent of black workers are unemployed, nearly twice the national average. And that’s not a new development: regardless of the economy, job prospects for African-Americans have long been significantly worse than for the country as a whole. 
The most obvious explanation for this entrenched disparity is racial discrimination. But in my research I have found a somewhat different culprit: favoritism. Getting an inside edge by using help from family and friends is a powerful, hidden force driving inequality in the United States. 
Such favoritism has a strong racial component. Through such seemingly innocuous networking, white Americans tend to help other whites, because social resources are concentrated among whites. If African-Americans are not part of the same networks, they will have a harder time finding decent jobs. The mechanism that reproduces inequality, in other words, may be inclusion more than exclusion. And while exclusion or discrimination is illegal, inclusion or favoritism is not — meaning it can be more insidious and largely immune to legal challenges. 
Favoritism is almost universal in today’s job market. In interviews with hundreds of people on this topic, I found that all but a handful used the help of family and friends to find 70 percent of the jobs they held over their lifetimes; they all used personal networks and insider information if it was available to them. 
In this context of widespread networking, the idea that there is a job “market” based solely on skills, qualifications and merit is false. Whenever possible, Americans seeking jobs try to avoid market competition: they look for unequal rather than equal opportunity. In fact, the last thing job seekers want to face is equal opportunity; they want an advantage. They want to find ways to cut in line and get ahead. 
You don’t usually need a strong social network to land a low-wage job at a fast-food restaurant or retail store. But trying to land a coveted position that offers a good salary and benefits is a different story. To gain an edge, job seekers actively work connections with friends and family members in pursuit of these opportunities. 
Help is not given to just anyone, nor is it available from everyone. Inequality reproduces itself because help is typically reserved for people who are “like me”: the people who live in my neighborhood, those who attend my church or school or those with whom I have worked in the past. It is only natural that when there are jobs to be had, people who know about them will tell the people who are close to them, those with whom they identify, and those who at some point can reciprocate the favor. 
Because we still live largely segregated lives, such networking fosters categorical inequality: whites help other whites, especially when unemployment is high. 
Although people from every background may try to help their own, whites are more likely to hold the sorts of jobs that are protected from market competition, that pay a living wage and that have the potential to teach skills and allow for job training and advancement. So, just as opportunities are unequally distributed, they are also unequally redistributed. 
All of this may make sense intuitively, but most people are unaware of the way racial ties affect their job prospects. 
When I asked my interviewees what most contributed to their level of career success, they usually discussed how hard they had worked and how uncertain were the outcomes — not the help they had received throughout their lives to gain most of their jobs. In fact, only 14 percent mentioned that they had received help of any kind from others. Seeing contemporary labor-market politics through the lens of favoritism, rather than discrimination alone, is revealing. 
It explains, for example, why even though the majority of all Americans, including whites, support civil rights in principle, there is widespread opposition on the part of many whites to affirmative action policies — despite complaints about “reverse discrimination,” my research demonstrated that the real complaint is that affirmative action undermines long-established patterns of favoritism. 
The interviewees in my study who were most angry about affirmative action were those who had relatively fewer marketable skills — and were therefore most dependent on getting an inside edge for the best jobs. Whites who felt entitled to these positions believed that affirmative action was unfair because it blocked their own privileged access. 
But interviewees’ feelings about such policies betrayed the reality of their experience of them. I found these attitudes evident among my interviewees — even though, among the 1,463 jobs they discussed with me, there were only two cases in which someone might have been passed over for a job because of affirmative action policies benefiting African-Americans. These data are consistent with other research on affirmative action. 
There’s no question that discrimination is still a problem in the American economy. But whites helping other whites is not the same as discrimination, and it is not illegal. Yet it may have a powerful effect on the access that African-Americans and other minorities have to good jobs, or even to the job market itself. Nancy DiTomaso, the vice dean for faculty and research and a professor of management and global business at Rutgers Business School, is the author of “The American Non-Dilemma: Racial Inequality Without Racism.”

There’s nothing wrong with utilizing social networks to better your position in life, but to someone like DiTomaso, blaming the causes of black dysfunction on anything but black people themselves is warranted to remaining a true believer in the God of Equality.

The days of “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” are numbered.

Strangely though, DiTomaso’s research didn’t include doing interviews with citizens of a near monochromatic city like Detroit, where the idea of ‘whites helping other whites’ is draconian – there aren’t many whites left.

What if the social networks black people cultivate aren’t conducive to landing better vocational opportunities, even in a city almost entirely devoid of whites? It must be the lingering ectoplasm of the repressive white civilization still haunting the new occupants of the Detroit, a ghostly reminder of white privilege in the decaying buildings and skyscrapers of the city, right?

Blacks are on-line discussing basketball, parties, etc. etc. They are not looking for a job since they don't need one. They live off the taxes stolen from the White Man.

There’s an old adage, “The woman’s place is in the home”. If I were God for a day, among other actions taken, I would change that adage to “A mother’s place is in the home”.

Motherhood, as a psychological state of mind, or philosophy, in my opinion, should not venture out beyond the home, or local community, church socials and such, or perhaps, at most, beyond one’s own kind. This is important because of all that is entailed in another adage, “The white man’s burden”, where a mothering aspect toward the rest of humanity, at the expense of white people, is obvious.

There are other liberal concepts imbued in the adage of the white man’s burden, however, focusing here on the mindset of motherhood, something excellent for the home, trying to be, what a mother is, to the rest of humanity, is insane.

Further, it would be one position to give white taxpayer dollars only to whites; it is another to give white taxpayer dollars to all the other sub-species of humans, especially when it not only offers nothing in return to whites, but worse when it helps whites not, but furthers those said other sub-species of humans, and obviously then, at the whites expense, to the detriment of whites, in natures struggle for survival, where in competition those better endowed win out, and those less endowed go into extinction.

In America’s 2 parties system, one perspective which could be taken is that republicans are our fathers while democrats are our mothers. The mothering aspect of democrats is evident in socialism, where all of mothers children shall be treated according to their needs as the collective wealth allows.

At this point a single dichotomy jumps right out; should we, as a particular sub-species, let nature be the guiding principle and take its course, or should we intervene on nature’s behalf, and like gods, rule to our chosen end at nature’s expense.

It should be self-evident, or at least people should begin to realize, that the ultimate end to which liberalism aspires is a new world, one world order of globalism, socialism and democracy, whereby this becomes the state of affairs for all humanity on planet Earth.

The blacks undoubtedly find this appealing as they are low man on humanity’s sub-species totem pole. This not only affords them the better life only the white man’s culture of civilization, of which they are incapable of either creating or maintaining, via parasitation, but further gives them their opportunity to meld their loser gene pool to the white winner gene pool. Further, this is the intended goal of both liberal ideology and black necessity.

When one appropriates that which belongs to God, and further, then uses it for one’s own designs, said one commits sacrilege. In my mind it is also sacrilege to appropriate that which belongs to nature, and further through appropriation of nature’s charge, then transmogrify nature’s grand design.

As white liberals persist in this very particular endeavor, especial now while said liberals are in control and giving the marching orders, we whites collectively, as a culture, race and gene pool, enter the hall of perdition, from which we seal our fate via a discarding of our own lives from living in harmony with nature, as nature’s evolution has endowed us, and begin a new journey down the road of a one sub-species, two tier, cultural existence in globalism, socialism and democracy where, moreover, the great masses will live in the tyranny, poverty and misery this state of affairs begets.

This is one of 2 possible futures our white posterity may inherit; the other future up for inheritance by our white posterity is a life that pursues liberty, wealth and happiness by living in harmony with the white man’s true nature.

This struggle is now being waged between non-liberal whites, the matured and white liberals, the immature and insane.

If not for ourselves, for our posterity.

Secession is the answer, the only answer. Thank you.

I pretty much reject the entire NYT article, but thanks for calling it to my attention.

What is missing, clearly, is a breakdown of unemployment rates by profession. A quick search shows that black engineers have a 7% unemployment rate, while white engineers are at 4%. This could be due to the first law of sociology (google it), or factors like she whines about. But it's hardly a big deal. She starts claiming that fast food jobs don't rely on social networks, but then she uses the numbers that are largely driven by fast food job-type people.

It's perfectly true that there is an inherent advantage to being part of a family of higher IQ. A white person with an IQ of say 90 probably has close relatives, quite likely siblings, with IQ's above 100. Such an individual may receive assistance say in filing out forms or with some other bureaucratic hassle. A black person with an IQ of 90 may already be the smartest person in the family.

Bottom line, and I know I am preaching to the choir, the inferiority of the Negro is so thoroughly established that it scarcely merits serious consideration. That being said, I have some more excerpts from Anthony Jacob's 1965 "White Man Think Again"

A child of two white parents has stored in his genes a microcosm of the civilization of those parents.

Here in America, from what my own eyes have seen, if there is any sub-species that practices racial nepotism it is the Negro sub-species.

One example that comes to mind came from a commenter somewhere, perhaps here at Paul's, who played semi-pro basketball.

As he related, blacks are quick to throw cheap shots such as an elbow to the face of a white but not a black, translation, this is our sport whitey, get out.

When black numbers get sufficiently high in any work place rudeness and aggression towards and against whites becomes the name of the game.

The black author mentioned that black unemployment is higher than white, that blacks are under-represented in the employment sector. What she failed to point out however, is that black businesses are also under-represented everywhere in America because blacks are incapable of creating and maintaining their own businesses. Otherwise, why don't blacks create their own business and do to whites what they pretend they think whites do to them?

Lastly, if there is any reason an employer does not wish to hire blacks it is because experience shows that blacks steal more and work less than their white counter part.

I should also mention that blacks, for numerous reasons are bad for business.

It is a no brainer, if your in business, pursuing success and profit, avoiding black employees is an ingredient that comes with the recipe for said sucess. Thanks.

Blacks do this all the time. Former superintendent of DC Public Schools in the late 90s Arlene Ackerman referred to DCPS as a temp agency for black people in 1998. Living and working in DC it's pretty much accepted that's my city government jobs are 'given' to blacks. That has changed a bit and with much bitterness from the groids.

Education at all levels is becoming such a libtard fiasco that one has to be handicapped, black, or Latrino to land a job.

I had a discussion about this with a black colleague often. He said in DC it's all about ' who ya know or who ya do'.

I have a sibling and we are not 'connected', we are are Americans born abroad by definition on Canada. When we came to the States, we knew no one. I have never been 'given' a job in my life.

I've found a different culprit. It's called "look at black people". At least a quarter of them are wholly unemployable just based on their inability to stop mangling the english language or their inability to act properly in a civilized scenario. Another quarter are probably unemployable because of a criminal record. The other half are probably an even split between welfare and useless gubmint jobs.

I remember a skit from SNlive back in the mid 70s. Fran Tarkington, then a great, white football QB hosted the show. It was at the time, so funny I remember it to this day

In the skit Fran and Garret Morris, black, got to talking about why there were so few black quarterbacks in the NFL. Fran answered Garret's question by stating that the center had to turn his back on the quarterback to snap the ball, and then questioned Morris, "would you turn your back on a black man?

Morris replied, "hell no I've got a wife and kid". Thanks.

I would suggest a possible solution to the social network favoritism/unconscious discrimination plague.

Affirmative Action needs to be extended to the private lives of whites. The following must be considered to overcome this travesty:

1. Whites must include a certain percentage of African Americans among their friends. This would be accomplished by submitting a list of acquaintances, their résumés and their race. Blacks must be at least 3/5 African.

2. If a group of greater than, say, 10 whites gather for a social activity, i.e., celebration party, wedding, etc. at least 13% of attendees must be African American (the 3/5 standard must be adhered to). The minority attendees will not be required to bring gifts. If the function is a restaurant visit, the minority attendees must pay into the cost of the meal but NOT be required to leave a tip.

3. There would also be regulations regarding Facebook other such sites.

A new federal agency could be developed to oversee this program. Van Jones would be my choice to run it.

I really think this author has things backwards:

My own employment history was the opposite: I got some of my first jobs (parking cars, washing dishes, making pizzas) through buddies who were already employed. However, I never had any inside connections like this after I graduated from college and started working in corporate America. It's pure fantasy to think that Whites get good-paying jobs through nepotism. This kind of idea belongs on one of those lists of black urban myths & legends that was a topic of discussion here at SBPDL recently.

They are completely separate concepts. First, you don't even define your "GOD". But, no matter, it is only a belief. A figment. A definition and thus has no meaning.

Nature, on the other hand, is evolution. In Nature there is no good, evil, morality, etc. What works is what works.

If the parasitical nature of the African "takes over" the genetic code of the foolish and altruistic White genetic code , then that is "good" from the view point of Nature. Even though "good" is not the correct word.

Nature does not care. Nature does not care about us. Nature has no feelings. It is just that which works. That which gets it's genetic code into the next generation.

It appears the black parasitic method is more effective since there are MORE Africans now than ever while the White population is declining.

Why doesn't George Soros and Michael Moore for example personally go into the Brownsville neighborhood in Brooklyn and hand out job applications to everybody that wants one.

I read this article and couldn't stop laughing at the stupidity of this "scholar", whose supposed field is employment.

Did she every stop to think about the number of PhDs among white people as compared with the number among blacks? Of Masters degrees? Of Bachelors degrees? Of high school diplomas? On every educational criterion, whites are, simply going by the numbers and not even looking at disparities in criminal records, substantially better qualified for employment than blacks.

Given this fact, it's no surprise that the black unemployment rate is roughly twice as high as the white one. What's really amazing is that, with these lower qualifications, the percentage of employed blacks is anywhere near the percentage of employed whites.

One good thing about the original article, though, at least when I read it, was that most of the comments tore her and her reasoning apart. So there are a lot of people out there who are aware of how dysfunctional Black America is, and how social programs, no matter how well-intentioned or how massively funded, will never be able to close the gap.

Some all powerful force is just going around doling out all of this wonderful opportunity to White people and shunning the blacks. Actually there is a name for this all powerful force, it's not magic, it's the INVISIBLE HAND OF ECONOMICS. PK has spoken about this topic many times before. The invisible hand is a metaphor that describes the self-regulating nature of the marketplace. The invisible hand says that individuals' efforts to maximize their own gains in a free market benefits society, even if the ambitious have NO BENEVOLENT intentions. Applying the logic of the Invisible Hand here, we can assume that business owners and employers seek to maximize their own gains. How do they maximize their gains? By hiring COMPETENT and INTELLIGENT employees. If we were all equal we should expect to see a diversity of color in just about every business field. What we see is Whites, Asians, and Jews dominating the types of jobs described by DiTomaso as "jobs that are protected from market competition, that pay a living wage and that have the potential to teach skills and allow for job training and advancement."

Are we to believe that White people are so intellectually shallow that we purposely seek to NOT maximize our individual gains by exclusively hiring Whites over blacks because of the amount of melanin in black skin? Or maybe, just maybe, White people want to maximize our individual gains which is why we hire White people in the first place, because we know on average that the White worker will be more productive than the black worker. IF we were all equal there would not be any problems with the "distribution of opportunity." That is what the liberals will never understand - the problems in America between the races arise precisely because we ARE NOT EQUAL.

I know I am beating a dead horse here, but just look at the soft racism on display. The author is basically saying that black people cannot function without Whites, that black people need White people in order to get a job. How deliciously insulting! As other posters here have mentioned, WHAT is stopping the blacks from creating their own businesses and employment options? Oh wait we already forgot, these poor blacks just didn't receive their opportunity handout from the Red Cross like evil Whitey.

This is so only in the short run. In the long run the black parasitic method will lead to their extinction as they have no ability to provide for themselves. Life, nature and God, though independent concepts, have a large degree of share intent.

Life via evolution, is about the survival of those organism best suited in the competitive struggle for the limited, availing resources. Those organism and their gene pool, who successfully outcompete the other organisms and their gene pool, in this struggle, survive and carry on. Those who are outcompeted enter into extinction.

Because whites are the best in the struggle of competition for the availing, limited resources whites would continue on. Because blacks are the least competitive in this same struggle they would die out unless acted upon by an outside their gene pool/organism source.

Blacks realize they would go into extinction because they realize they are the least competitive. Their life urge to continue on their sub-species, pushes them to meld their gene pool to ours, and in this way satisfy their life's instinct for preservation of the sub-species.

This is good for them, but bad for us.

If we were lower primates with smaller brains we would have no problem utilizing our more competitive ability to drive them into their extinction and keep for ourselves and our own, all of the availing limited resources, this is the nature of life.

Even in Africa, tribal blacks exterminate fellow tribes of blacks to ensure the survival of their branch of their same sub-species gene pool.

However, in our modern world, there are among we whites, those who fail to mature. They are childishly selfish and cowardly, among other traits, and would, to protect themselves in the outer world of reality, be willing to sacrifice some or much of what belongs to the white race in order to avoid embracing and resolving their own shortcomings.

Should whites separate out and away from each other, liberals one way, non-liberals the other, and both were left to their own devices, the liberals would either meld with other sub-species go into extinction, or embrace their personal responsibility to mature.

I for one could care less which it would be for liberals, I have had it with liberals, white or not they can in my mind sink or swim on their own. Their baggage is not worth the price of supporting them, just because they are fellow whites.

The non-liberal whites however, would thrive, out compete or hold their own in life's struggle with any of the other gene pools.

We would be serving life's urge itself, the urge to survive and continue on one's own, by outcompeting the other gene pools and their organisms. Thanks

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, government sponsored entities, are also employers that have gone "black". Besides being over 50% black, I was told a high percentage of their "lawyers" are blacks who can't pass bar exams - but can still rubber stamp paper work (recipe for disaster?). Both of them should have been allowed to go bankrupt, but just like the post office, they are a black employer and thus staffing must be maintained. By the way Cen., though I was born and raised Catholic, I'm not religious in the traditional sense, I don't practice Catholicism and have not been to Church since I was 16.

However, I understand the God of the Judeo-Christian faiths in a more enlighten sort of way. I do not believe there to be an actual being who looks just like us accept is bigger and in possession of a magic wand and lives just on the other side of that blue ceiling we call the sky.

If you recommend someone to an employer and the person turns out to be a lazy ass, a thief, a workplace drama queen, an incompetent or otherwise habitually engages in disruptive behaviors such as always late to work, calling in sick constantly,leaving early due to "fambly" problems, getting into arguments etc......who gets the heat for that? If you take the issue of FireFighter exams (hardly a test of intelligence) you'll find that test taking ability rather than actual intelligence is the determining factor. A recent discrimination case in CT showed that white firefighters usually had family members who were/are firefighters and were able to help their white mates with the exams. That has nothing to do with intelligence but rather one of access. The black firefighters reported not having the same access.

Now I had large problems with the CT case for two reasons:

1) Relevant to the blog entry, the Vulcans (A black order of firefighters) failed IMHO to provide the necessary backing for their members by providing the same level of access to materials. Exactly WHAT were the vulcans (or whatever they are called) doing with their membership and dues?

2) The test they used was created by some "diversity" panel that had the silly ass idea that blacks had problems with "spatial thinking" (going off memory here). In one case a diagram of a set of buildings from a birds eye view that needed to be translated to horizontal "man on the street" view was deemed "too difficult" for African-Americans to figure out. Never mind that assuming such a skill is necessary for managing firefighting that anyone who can't do it should not be a firefighter or a manager of firefighters, anyone who's seen basketball knows full well that African-Americans can in fact translate views and angles. You can't play basketball well without doing so.

Normally I don't care much about how people address topics of race and culture because I think racism is a natural biological function.Harsh words about out groups sound like talking of the weather to me.

I do, however, find it annoying when normally intelligent people conflate completely different categories and lump people together who are not really connected. This happens frequently on the comments here especially when discussing Muslims and a few other broadly defined groups including whites sometimes.

Muslim isn't a race any more than Christian is.There are about 1 billion Muslims in the world with vastly varying racial makeup and beliefs from Ismailis and 12'er Shias to Somali Sunni Sufis. White Bosniaks,Persian Shias, Saudi Arabian Salafists. These people have different texts and interpretations of their religion and it plays a huge role in how they behave and live.

If you have defined an enemy you'd best know something about them other than that the TV shows them with guns and says they're bad.

If you don't know the difference between a Persian and an Arab then you're not in a position to have an opinion on either.

And if you intentionally or inadvertently lump a White Bosniak in with a North American 5% Nation of Islam Pavement Ape then you're likely to be borderline retarded.

That inability is/was due to the reasonable desire of all others to avoid the well known TNB of the black community. Additionally, other ethnic groups (whether white, asian or hispanic) have a rich cultural heritage for others to explore, learn about and enjoy.
The point is that unless any given ethnic group has something to offer, other ethnic groups have no reason to bother with them and no motivation to enter their area.
Why would someone choose Chinatown, Little Italy, Little Tokyo or any other ethnic area over a black area? Because they have tons to offer whereas the blacks do not. No one is going to go to a black area (just because it's black) when far better and far more interesting and positive times and experiences can be had (with far greater safety) everywhere else.
Even if black areas were safe, what would be the motivation for anyone to go? I can't think of a single reason.

I will agree somewhat with the,"you gotta know somebody theory" in fact black communities use it excessivly. Take a look at any black run city such as Atlanta or Memphis, any government job from city hall custodian on up and you will find that the individual was connected through family or friends of a friend in some way to a city council member. As far as middle class blue collar jobs or skilled labor, I know for a fact that you need knowledge, training, and experience to evev be considered for these jobs. The skilled labor jobs that I have interviewed for in the recent past required extensive testing. I cant imagine someone without a minimum of two years of college getting through these tests or even understanding them. Then there is the interview after passing the tests you cant go in there pimp walking saying sup as you try to knuckle bump the humanresource person interviewing you. You have to be polite, friendly, and make the person like you. If you dont get hired at that time thank the man and ask him to keep him in mind if anything else comes up, rather than chimping out and screaming racism, this benhavior has negative effect on the race as a whole.

The case of those poor women in Ohio shows that the police were useless and in fact turned a blind eye. There were calls put in about neighbors seeing them in the back yard naked and chained. WTF? I would not be surprised if those girls were pimped out to local 'law enforcement'. Having worked in the ghetto and in related services, I can tell you that there is a thin line between the law and the miscreants.

As I pursued government statistics, online, some time back, perhaps a year ago or so, it was clearly obvious the differentiation of black businesses to both white and Oriental businesses relative to the population demographics.

American Blacks have a mean IQ of 85, whites 100, Orientals 106. The observed statistical numbers correlated fairly well.

Adjusting for what I have seen with my own eyes, I can take the educated guess that whites had more big business, Orientals more small business, and blacks the least and smallest businesses of all.

Blacks should stop trying to pass their buck of responsibility, come clean, fess up and understand that the black gene pool produces an organism tailor cut and suited only for tribal existence. Further that, the black gene pool produces an organism which is incapable of assimilation and "fair play" participation in the white man's culture of civilization.

Blacks are the losers in the human world because their gene pool produces a more animalistic, less human organism, the black gene pool goes for quantity over quality.

One of the realities I push for whites to comprehend is that the only strategy blacks can employ to remain a viable participant in life's game of evolution is to meld to the white gene pool, parasitism plane and simply.

Ok, I'm currently an enrolled college student and we have a pretty diverse student body that includes blacks. However, if you want to find the black guys on campus just go to the basketball gym. 90% of the guys that are in there are black. My Chemistry class, we have 2 blacks out of 60 students! They are completely absent from anything academically rigorous!! Naturally I'm going to associate with the individuals who are successful in my courses, and that happens to be people who are not black. Success finds success. Blacks aren't successful, at least not academically. However, many of my Hispanic classmates are serious students.

This is actually a very interesting subject, and more complicated than you might imagine at first glance.

Negroes obviously must be able to perceive the world in three dimensions. Provided, of course, they have two eyes. My dog can do that, and catch a ball in his mouth, in mid-air, but that's not all there is to spatial thinking. The trick is, can you visualize something abstract, in three dimensions? Can you see a two-dimensional depiction of a three-dimensional object, and manipulate it in your mind?

Back in the 60s, I attended a presentation by an industrial psychologist who had done research among South African blacks. One of his interesting findings was that they can't see a flat picture and understand the spatial relationships in it. At least, not the same way we do. Lines of perspective mean nothing to them. One of his exhibits was an advertising poster designed to sell bicycles to Africans. It showed a picture of a Babuntu furiously pedalling his bike, leaving in the distance the lion that was chasing him. The focus group that he showed it to didn't get the point; why was he so afraid of such a tiny little lion?

It's interesting that American negroes still have this same problem after 400 years of immersion in White culture. It suggests that there are real perceptual differences rooted in biology, not culture.

Complete garbage. The firefighter test is standardized, and you can pick up a study guide in your local library. The CT case was about a white guy who studied his ass off, for several hours each and every day, seeing his test results thrown out because not a single black made the cut.

2. Most employers have taken at least two years of Spanish in high school, which is a lot easier than Ebonics.

3. Don't expect high wages when you think showing up to work late, if at all, is completely optional.

Let us talk about the six point difference. There is a term in diagnostics called confidence intervals. When a person scores an IQ of 101 let us say, then the score is interpreted with a confidence interval. Nothing is ever set in stone so to speak. So someone might score an IQ of 102 one day and the next day one might score an IQ of 99. So when IQs are interpreted with a range. It may be stated as this "I can say that 95% of the time Whitey will score an IQ of 98 to 104."

CF - I don't put much weight on IQ. There are many things, factors that total a person's worth in society. The thing is, many blacks have made themselves a detriment to society by their BEHAVIOR stemming from POOR CHARACTER.

They steal, kill, and rape in large numbers. Forrest Gumps and real life people like him are dumb but GOOD,

Blacks have to redeem themselves. They must admit the harm they are doing to innocent whites. But they won't, and that screams character defect to me.
