#132. The Birther Movement

Black people don’t like to be challenged. We have discussed what happens when Black people don’t cooperate with the police and now, something much greater is transpiring in America: white people are questioning whether or not Barack Obama was born in the United States and thus eligible to the President of the United States.

Deemed “Birthers” by the media, these white people have the audacity of incredulity to question whether or Mein Obama was born in Hawaii, Kenya, the United States or elsewhere. To Black people, it doesn’t matter where he was born, for he is the messiah and Ozymandias rolled into one, the actual manifestation of the comic book character in Watchmen.

Like the character in the comic, Obama hopes to unite the world and bring about a glorious reign of peace, tolerance - and like the character in the comic, through any means necessary - and universal healthcare for all. Yet white people believe deception is afoot, primarily through the illegality of the Obama presidency, since no birth certificate has yet to be provided establishing him as a natural born citizen.

These “Birthers” are to Black people the ultimate manifestation of racism, despite the fact that 96 percent of Black people voted for Obama in 2008’s election, and 97 percent of Black people still support the president despite the faltering economy and ineffectiveness of his policies.

These numbers of Black people and their monolithic support of their Ozymandias, their Mein Obama, is not a conspiracy, yet the notion that the Brithers’ hold is laughed at by the media and denounced as a wild conspiracy:

Conspiracy theories about the legitimate citizenship of President of the United States Barack Obama, and other challenges to his eligibility to become President have circulated before and after his victory in the presidential election of 2008. The primary engine of these theories are a number of fringe activists and political opponents nicknamed "birthers", who allege that he was not born in Hawaii, meaning that he is not a natural born citizen in their view, and thus not eligible to be President of the United States under Article Two of the U.S. Constitution.”

The Birthers have been denounced by many people as racist, a puerile attempt to persuade other people of Barack Obama’s infallibility, and yet to Black people, all they are doing is blaspheming a God-King. The monolithic support that Black people have for Obama will never go away, as he single-handily rescued Black people from the shackles of Pre-Obama America, a world so dreary and white that it had to be permanently put out to the pasture:

"It's racist," said Phil Griffin, the president of MSNBC. "It's racist. Just call it for what it is."

Now, the Birthers have been lumped into another group of people who are also engaging in spontaneous protests. Those who are against socialized medicine are now deemed allies of the Birthers as they attempt to hold hostage the debate about the complete government takeover of medicine.

Black people are all for this – socially medicine – for Black people are, as a group, not represented in healthcare coverage as well as white people:

“The health insurance coverage rates for non-Hispanic whites who reported a single race was 89.3 percent. For blacks and Asians who reported a single race, the rates were 79.8 percent and 81.6 percent, respectively.”

Or, as Pat Buchanan wrote about who will benefit from the healthcare reform:

“Who are the principal beneficiaries? The 47 million uninsured who will be covered. Who are the principal losers? The elderly sick who, in the name of controlling costs, are going to lose benefits, be denied care at the end of their lives and have their lives shortened. For half of all health-care costs are in the last six months of life, and cost control is priority No. 1.

Here is where the disparate impact hits. Among those who benefit most—the uninsured—African-Americans, Hispanics and immigrants are overrepresented. Among the biggest losers—seniors and the elderly sick—well over 80 percent are white.”

To Black people, those elderly white people are vestiges of the defeated Pre-Obama America, and they are mere casualties in the Age of Obama and his Ozymandias’ rise to power and potential of uniting the world.

One writer has this to say about the white people who oppose the healthcare reform:

“But they’re probably reacting less to what Mr. Obama is doing, or even to what they’ve heard about what he’s doing, than to who he is.

That is, the driving force behind the town hall mobs is probably the same cultural and racial anxiety that’s behind the “birther” movement, which denies Mr. Obama’s citizenship. Senator Dick Durbin has suggested that the birthers and the health care protesters are one and the same; we don’t know how many of the protesters are birthers, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it’s a substantial fraction.”

Cynthia Tucker of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution went one further when questioned about the racial animosity these white Birthers and ‘minority healthcare deniers’ believed:

Oh, I’m just guessing, this is just off the cuff. I’d guess 45 – 65% of the people who appear at these groups are people who will never be comfortable with a black president.”

Black people, as we have discussed, are stubborn. They have lined up behind their Ozymandias in hopes that Mein Obama will bestow upon them the riches of Pre-Obama America.

Stuff Black People Don’t Like will include the Birthers, a nativist movement spawned by white people who still cling to the hope that Pre-Obama America will return. It is gone forever. Black people know this and that is why they don’t like white people banding together, for they fear that they might begin to think about what comes after the Age of Obama.

The health care issue is just another example of white people understanding identity politics and that is another SBPDL altogether.

Just another example of Blacks throwing the term "racist" around trying to silence opposition by fear and brute force rather than dealing with facts and evidence.

This is incredible! This country is so lost. Socialism is being forced down our throats and no one does or says anything. Anyone that opposes is a racist. Fine we should own the title of racist and stop before it is too late. Barry has been in office a few months and look at the mess already. Black public always seems to boil down to something for nothing. Shout it loud I'm racist and proud!

I personally believe that he was probably born at one of the hospitals in hawaii that they claim. His father was not a US citizen. The whole point of the 'natural born' clause was to ensure that a president has no conflict of interest. The way he was brought up in Indonesia and all don't help either.

I find it strange however that he won't release the actual document. I'd also like to see his Harvard records. What's up with that? These people that like the idea of affirmative action don't realize how they are belittling the point of higher education. For instance, who wants a doctor that passed with a 1.0 GPA? If Obama's time at Harvard was so great why hide the records? Truth: He did not deserve what he accomplished there.

This blog is amazing, and I'm not sure how I stumbled across it, but I appreciate that I did. In its existence, it makes the point that you all are trying to make -- the permanence and persistence of racism. A blog dedicated to criticizing, belittling, and venting about Black people and how undeserving, unsophisticated, and uneducated they are -- as a people?? That is the definition of racism, that one group (Whites) are superior to another (Blacks). That message is implicit in what is written, all under the auspices of communicating "the facts."

Do any of you study history, not the politicized, sterilized version we're all fed in high school, but actual history communicated by primary sources. Who owned the land in the US? Native Americans. How was it transferred to Whites? Genocide of Native AMericans and slavery of African Americans. Land was the most valuable resource and became how people acquired wealth and power. How was that power maintained after it was acquired by killing and enslaving Native Americans and African Americans? In part by imprisoning them, as well as Asians during Japanese Internment. The affluence of Whites as a group can be traced to these and other methods of disempowerment and oppression that afflict minority groups and have continuing effects. The idea of achievement through merit -- which we are indoctrinated to believe -- was never achieved through merit. It was achieved by Whites through force and brutal means. It was illegal for slaves to learn to read. Why? Because education is empowerment. When someone is born into poverty, we are not surprised that it is difficult for their offspring and generations of offspring that follow to climb the ladder of mobility. Why then do we find it surprising that minority groups have faired less well than Whites in the centuries of oppression, despite the upward mobility of the US as a whole?

Case in point: Henry Louis Gates was arrested for disorderly conduct. From the time the call was placed to when he was arrested 6 minutes lapsed. How much did he rant given the time it takes for the police to arrive at his home, ask questions, have an argument, and then place him under arrest. That all happened in 6 minutes. He was asked to step outside because it is illegal to arrest someone in their own home. Further, yelling at the police is not illegal. Being disrespectful to the police is not illegal. The only valid reason for an arrest is committing a crime or saying you are going to commit a crime. Gates did neither. The police report that the officer completed says he was simply angry and yelling. Not a crime. So who committed the crime? The officer, the crime of "false arrest." He abused his power because he was disrespected. Not only did Gates have to endure being arrested for no illegal cause, but now he is expected to make nice so that we, as a nation can learn a lesson about racial harmony. What does the officer get to do. Communicate loud and clear that if a person is disrespectful, police officers can put their professionalism aside and arrest someone anyway. They are supposed to be trained professionals. That is racism. If this situation had happened to an average person, they would have a criminal record. That's a disgrace.

This blog is not about Native Americans, Asians, or Whites. This blog is about Blacks. Blacks are most racist people that I've encountered. I am well traveled by the way. We need not feel guilty for mentioning the truth in any of our outlets including blogs. Sure not every Black person can be summed up in every one of these posts but, the post are about the Black culture as a whole.

The truth is 'racist'. You can no longer silence us with the 'RACE CARD'. You see, the 'RACE CARD' has no value in 'Post-Obama America'.

"he was simply angry and yelling"
So Gates can do this in his front yard disturbing the neighborhood and it's legal? When we do it and disturb a townhall meeting we should be hauled away?

YOU are the RACIST!

Acording to the above poster I can be loud disruptive and disrespectful to a Black person if he has the gall to come on my land and if I do this it will be the black person who is 'racist'.

Oh, I forgot. Only whites can be racist. Blacks can do anything they want and it will never be racist.

I agree that in Post-Obama America, the "race-card" has been over used to the point that it's starting to fall apart.
People I know who espoused no particular political views before are now outspoken about how fed-up they are at the depths our once great country has sunken to. Obama's socialist revolution has slapped many Americans awake from their naive slumber and is filling them with uncertainty and dread (as it well should).
We are at a fork in the road: one path leads downhill (the easy path) to the destruction of America in general, and white people in particular. The other path leads uphill (the difficult path) to the geographic separation and secession from the liberal states to preserve our heritage and people and our RIGHT to life and liberty!
