Organized Communities...

SBPDL has been sitting on The Reality of Cook County story for sometime, and felt in the horrific and violent death of Derrion Albert the time for holding out on this important piece was over.

RIP Derrion. Your death is the result of our nation - a nation of cowards - who refuse to confront the reality of race in America without name calling and resorting to silencing Hate Facts.

Sadly, the President of the United States, Mein Obama, has yet to say the actions of the four Black youth arrested for Derrion's death acted "stupidly"...

For all intents and purposes, Stuff Black People Don't Like is a site that tries to present unpleasant facts in as positive a light as possible.

Black people, however, refuse to admit the seriousness of the situation that Black people face - collectively - in America. SBPDL.com has documented the reasons that this is, and it goes far beyond the hero worship of Zod Obama.

It's time to stop being cowards. We must have a truthful national discourse on race in America. President Obama, the great community organizer from Chicago, it is obvious YOUR community is in complete disharmony.

The financial meltdown of the United States is upon us, and by all intents and purposes, what we witnessed in Iceland could happen in America at any time.

The reality of the impending collapse of the dollar though, doesn't portend for as civil a riot as our Nordic friends in Iceland participated in, for we know that Black people don't like to be out-rioted.

Imagine New Orleans 2005 in every city. This is a scenario that sounds apocalyptic, yet the reality of the United States becoming insolvent is no longer a nightmarish dream.

It might just be around the corner. Think how many stores closed their doors in 2008:
"Circuit City. Linens 'N Things. Bombay Co. They're all out of business, their stores shuttered, many employees laid off."
KB Toys is gone. Foot Locker is fading. Other major companies, from Hertz to Sprint-Nextel are facing Bankruptcy.

These companies that collapsed and that are facing extinction, employed and employee a lot of Black people.

No one will admit what is coming, so SBPDL will. Civil unrest is rising in America and Zod-Obama is watching as Middle American Radicals (MARs) are marching on DC. Black people are killing other Black people at an alarming rate.

Riots are coming
. And SBPDL was the first to warn you.

You understand the problem by a lot.

The link below has all the companies that shuttered their doors in 2008. Think how many jobs where lost and how much commercial real-estate sits empty as their big box stores leave and vacate contracts.

http://www.boston.com/business/articles/2009/01/02/2008_was_the_year_of_disappearing_brands/

"Beyond the brand names customers will no longer see, people may find many familiar businesses looking different. Retailers may operate fewer stores or only sell their goods online. Banks may become subsidiaries of those that bought them.

Circuit City Stores Inc., the nation's second-biggest electronics retailer, is closing more than 150 stores and laying off thousands as it attempts to restructure under Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The shakeout among companies this year will give sturdier brands a chance to shine and set them apart from their less-than-prosperous counterparts, analysts said.

Who's gone away
A number of big-name brands filed for bankruptcy protection or went out of business in 2008. Among them:

Retailers Mervyns LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July and began liquidation sales at its remaining stores to wind down its business.

Linens 'N Things filed for bankruptcy protection in May. It started liquidation sales in October after failing to find a buyer.

Steve & Barry's filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July, then abandoned plans to keep stores open and said it would liquidate.

KB Toys filed for bankruptcy protection two weeks before Christmas and has begun to liquidate its stores and plans to shutter operations.

Banks, investment firms

Bear Stearns was bought by JPMorgan Chase & Co. in March in a deal orchestrated by the government after a sharp decline in shares and a collapse in confidence in the company.

Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. declared bankruptcy in September, the largest ever in the United States, less than a week after reporting a $4 billion loss.

Airlines ATA Airlines filed for bankruptcy April 2 and abruptly ceased operations the next day.

Aloha Airlines shut down its passenger service in March, shortly after filing for bankruptcy."

While I wholeheartedly agree that the “Riots are coming”… You’re not the first to warn anyone of the coming crisis. And it will come. And it WILL turn very ugly. Dire warnings of this event have been predicted on many websites, oh, for at least 10-15 years or so.. And the folks that have predicted this, who at one time were thought of as nut-cases, are being paid attention to now. Funny how that works.

I have a few friends whom, seeing the obvious, have been shouting from the rooftops about buying psychical precious metals (Silver/Gold) . For when the shit really hits the fan, and paper money is as worthless as the paper it’s printed on. There will still be something of value to barter with.
While I don’t disagree with that concept, I’ve been telling them for o’ so long, the TRUE metals of value will be copper/brass/lead… If you get my drift. You can see how true this is, pre/post BO, for about the last year.

Fact of the matter is, for those who are not pre-occupied by what’s on sale at the mall, or what the new fall line-up on TV is.. This should have been/be glaringly apparent. But with the prevailing logic that was a ‘given’ with say, a company like GM, that it’s just TOO BIG to fail … The same logic is applied with our country and society as a whole. It’s just TOO BIG to fail. Ignore the core problems. Get on TV and show the winner of the Westminster Dog Show, but not the gruesome crimes being committed in your own neighborhood. Make everyone feel warm and snuggly. Print more money. Throw it around. It’ll all be OK….

And, there are those of us, who (Not because we’re brilliant or anything) saw The Light years ago and took steps to … Well, basically survive what we see coming. We’ve moved as far as damn-well-possible away from any center of possible urban chaos … We’ve learned to be self-sufficient. We’ve learned that one can get by on waaaay less. (NO, one doesn’t need a 60” plasma wide-screen TV) … We’ve learned how to ‘can’ things .. Store ‘canned goods’ away that would make a Mormon envious … hunt/kill/preserve meat… Grow your own garden .. Create your own heat for winter (It’s called ‘wood’) .. And basically be able to shoot a fly’s eyeball out at 200 yards. It may sound ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ but it’ll serve you well. Walmart? Hell, we don’t need no stinking Walmarts…

But you’re most definitely right about the coming riots. When the ‘gubbermint’ checks stop rolling in .. When McD’s stops rolling out the McNuggets … When the source of Sprite or Hennessy has dried up … Hell, that’s the easy stuff, when the whole shitload of basic necessities dries up and blows away and the basic infrastructure starts rotting, you’re gonna see a WHOLE lot of unhappy things that people don’t like and they’ll be looking elsewhere for it. More than likely, desperately looking for it at any cost. And we all know what that means.

The good thing is, we’ll all be watching it on our crappy little TV from here. My family and I, that is.
Personally, I won’t worry a whole lot, because I CAN shoot out the eyeball of a fly at 200 yards. ;^)

Actually my one greatest fear is, that it won’t happen in my lifetime. I’m gonna be pretty pissed if I went through all this work and don’t get to see the grand finale’ .. It’s gonna be like a thousand of the best Superbowls ever played all rolled up into one.
