An Egg Bowl, an Iron Bowl, and a Future in Doubt; Why America Won't Survive Until 2025

PK Note: Before you read the following article, please read this article at Vdare that discusses the Iron Bowl game between Auburn University and the University of Alabama. The game used to be played in Birmingham, and loyal SBPDL readers should know that Jefferson County recently declared the largest municipal bankruptcy in American history. After an integrated Southern California team defeated an all-white Alabama team at Legion Field in Birmingham back in 1970, the late Los Angeles Times sports writer Jim Murray -- who had long been a critic of Bear Bryant and was instrumental in keeping BAMA from winning the 1966 National Title -- wrote that the final score itself, he emphasized, "was less a defeat for Alabama than a victory for America. Birmingham will never be the same again. And, brother, that's a good thing."

Fitting that Los Angeles is no longer an American city; more fitting that Jefferson County -- home to Birmingham -- recently declared bankruptcy. America hasn't been the same since that very day in 1970.

Few eyes will be on the state of Mississippi’s marquee football game this weekend, save those alumni and students from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and Mississippi State.
Heroes of another age

The rivalry game is called the Egg Bowl, and a lame-duck Houston Nutt will lead a limping Ole Miss team (2-9) to combat a Mississippi State (5-6) vying for its 16th bowl game in the university’s history.

Sports Illustrated wrote this about the Egg Bowl in a dismissive article published back in 1991:
If college football is truly allegorical, then here is the title of its harshest lesson: Ole Miss vs. Mis'ippi State. It is perhaps the saddest rivalry in all of Division I, a struggle for pride in a state where pride comes hard, then runs too deep and stays too long.
"Poor old whupped-down Mis'ippi" is what the writer Willie Morris calls his home state. "The last people you want to take a whuppin' from is somebody else from Mis'ippi," says comedian Jerry Clower, a former Mis'ippi State player.
Considering their state's paltry resources, the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University—their formal names—probably shouldn't even be separate institutions, let alone schools that support separate football teams in the high-rent Southeastern Conference. "This state is just too little, in terms of people, and too poor to sustain a major football rivalry," says Morris, who wrote The Courting of Marcus Dupree, a 1983 portrait of the state's sociological relationships with football and black players.
And yet the demographics of Ole Miss and Mis'ippi State—homogenous as they might seem from the outside—are more socially opposite than those of Alabama and Auburn, Florida and Florida State, or Texas and Texas A&M. So Mis'ippi society can't live without what it can't afford.
Ole Miss is the last bastion of the traditions of the old Southern gentry. Its teams are nicknamed Rebels; its fans still wave Confederate flags despite official disavowal of the symbol by the university and its alumni association; its marching band still plays Dixie. The very term Ole Miss is not a contraction of "Old Mississippi," but an old slave term—a plantation owner's daughter was called "the young miss" and his wife "the old miss

Beginning with Kentucky in 1966, the SEC slowly began to admit black football players. In 1972, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss became the last of the league's teams to integrate. But even as Confederate flags were becoming more emblematic of virulent racism than of valor and mourning, the Rebel faithful continued to cling to their symbols. The school's history, to say nothing of the flags, left talented black football players (on which the other SEC members were loading up) less than eager to play at Ole Miss. The era of coach Johnny Vaught, who for more than two decades enjoyed a recruiting lock on segregated Mississippi—where it had been considered the duty of athletic white youths to play for the glory of the state's "way of life"—had finally ended.

Twenty years later, Ole Miss lays prostrate, her proud traditions rooted in Mississippi’s past removed, considered vestigial organs by an unelected Disingenuous White Liberal power structure trying to make the university respectable in the eyes of Black-Run America (BRA).

No longer does the band play Dixie. No longer does the Confederate Flag wave in the stands (Tommy Tuberville can be thanked for that). No longer is the school even known as the “Rebels,” but as the “Black Bears.”

Were it not for a few years of Eli Manning (son of beloved former Rebel quarterback Archie) quarterbacking the Rebels to bowl games between 2000 – 2003, Ole Miss fans would have few proud memories to savor, save tailgates on the famed Grove.

The band can’t even play Elvis Presley’s Dixie With Love because fans and alumni would chant ‘the South will rise again’ at the conclusion of the song, which – according to the Chancellor of Ole Miss – reeks of “Segregationist Baggage.”

The “Ghosts of Mississippi” will always haunt the state, and though the university recruits almost exclusively Black athletes to represent the school on the football field, recently fired Nutt continues to blame the specter of white racism on the misfortunes he faced:

In an interview with Yahoo Sports Radio, Nutt blamed Mississippi's checkered racial past from stopping him from recruiting more out-of-state athletes, saying that some recruits and their families had questions about racism before they even visited the school.

Fired from his job after back-to-back losing seasons, Nutt has three games left with the team.

"You recruit a young man from out of state and they come to Mississippi, the first thing that hits their mind is, you know, 'I've seen the show "Mississippi Burning."' Or, there are questions from their mom: 'Are there racial problems?' Once they get here, you put that to rest, but that's the perception," Nutt said. "Once recruits visit the campus firsthand, they see it's a safe place that doesn't have racial problems."

Despite the problems that Nutt faced, Ole Miss had no shortage of out-of-state talent because 65 percent of the 115 players on the roster are not from Mississippi.

Sports writer Neal McCready with www.rivals.com said he doesn't think Mississippi's history is a big factor in the Rebels' recruiting.

"I don't know that I've heard any empirical evidence either in the state of Mississippi that, at least not recently, leads me to believe that he lost out on an African-American recruit because of things that happened 50 years ago. I don't really believe that to be the case," McCready said.

Not only that, but Ole Miss is a majority Black football team (though the school is majority white), which completely contradicts Nutt’s idiotic claims. Then again, so is Mississippi State (famously under Jackie Sherrill, MSU success was predicated upon recruiting low- IQ, Black Junior College transfers), one of those programs like Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Oregon, and Virginia Tech that seems to only recruit Black players to play quarterback now.

At least the school got some positive publicity with the 2009 film, The Blind Side. In Michael Lewis book of the same name, we learn that many of Michael Oher’s (the Black inner-city Memphis native adopted by the White Ole Miss alumni family) Black teammates didn’t care about academics or have pride in the school that was providing them a free education that their athletic ability alone justified.

Once Ole Miss had a proud football tradition (only 13 of the 33 bowl game appearances for the school came after the integration of the Rebels in 1972); of course, this was when the team only played white players and actually won Southeastern Conference (SEC) and national championships. There was even a riot on the campus back in the early 1960s to stop the integration of the school.

A mini-Civil War erupted between citizens and students of the Oxford school over James Meredith’s coerced enrollment.

The New York Times reported this back in 1962:
James H. Meredith, a Negro, enrolled in the University of Mississippi today and began classes as Federal troops and federalized units of the Mississippi National Guard quelled a 15-hour riot.
A force of more than 3,000 soldiers and guardsmen and 400 deputy United States marshals fired rifles and hurled tear-gas grenades to stop the violent demonstrations.
Throughout the day more troops streamed into Oxford. Tonight a force approaching 5,000 soldiers and guardsmen, along with the Federal marshals, maintained an uneasy peace in this town of 6,500 in the northern Mississippi hills.

Then, the state actually had pride in her past; now, every tradition of the school has been uprooted so that a team of majority Black players can be recruited and win two or three games a season. Of course, talented white high school players in Mississippi and other contiguous southern states go unnoticed by SEC coaches who only equate “Speed” and “talent” with melanin-enriched individuals. Just ask the Green Bay Packers white receiver Jordy Nelson how many scholarship offers he got.

Back in the late 1960s, Jack Olsen of Sports Illustrated published a four-party series that discussed the trials and tribulations facing Black athletes at recently integrated schools and at the professional level.

Looking at how white running back Jacob Hester was treated at Louisiana State University, Peyton Hillis at Arkansas (and in the NFL) and how Tre Smith and Heath Evans were treated at Auburn University, it’s obvious the situation has been inverted; SEC football is predominately Black, meaning that it is the waning number of whites trying to maintain some semblance of integration at schools where the student body population is almost always 90 percent white.

Perhaps inadvertently, Michael Oriard let slip a crucial point in his book Bowled Over: Big-Time College Football from the Sixties to the BCS Era in regards to all that was lost in the South when integration hit Ole Miss and other SEC schools. On page 61, he writes:

The integration of SEC football was more momentous for white southerners than for black, resulting in the loss of a bastion of white southern masculinity but bringing a compensating benefit in the national stature of conference teams through the prowess of black athletes.

This quote has some contradictions in it (all-white Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia Tech – though they left the SEC in the 60s – and especially the University of Alabama, were some of the top programs in the nation that consistently vied for and won national titles without the benefit of having Black athletes on their rosters), but it gets to the heart of why white southerners have allowed their traditions to be trampled on; the perceived and completely artificial belief that only Black athletes can win championships.

Worse, the predominate white student body of SEC schools must lower standards (both academic and moral) to accommodate the Black presence on campus; in the case of Ole Miss, they must remove every last vestige of their heritage.

In an important discussion on race and college football at View from the Right, Lawrence Auster made an invaluable point that gets to the heart of the problem of college athletics:

Southerners put all this energy and collective passion into a school sport, while passively allowing the Hispanicization, Islamization, and de-Europeanization of their country. Either their football mania is a compensation for no longer being allowed to defend their culture, or it's a huge distraction from defending their culture. Either way it seems the height of decadence: all these white people madly cheering on their football teams (whether the players are white or black, it doesn't matter), all these whites being transported by the passions of "football patriotism," even as whites are being steadily degraded into a minority in their own country. These whites don't put one billionth of the energy into defending their threatened culture and civilization that they put into cheering their football teams. That these teams consist largely of black thugs only intensifies the tragedy.

And to think, all this has happened in a state where more than 90 percent of whites voted for John McCain in 2008.

But because we can no longer have an “American Identity” or “Southern Identity” (as James Kirpatrick showed, such a thing would be ‘racist’) we must adopt to having an identity in Ole Miss, which must have any traces of its Confederate past completely expunged, since only Black athletes can provide the key to victory.

Or the key to an embarrassing two win season.

There is a correlation that must be pointed out now: when Ole Miss had an all-white football team, the student body and state leaders were prepared to go to war with the Federal Government over demands for integration.

Now, with a pathetic integrated team consisting of largely unemployable Black thugs, the children and grandchildren of those same proud Mississippians can’t even muster the shouting of “the South will rise again.”

And it is for this reason that America can not rise again, with our future inexplicably tied to a trivial contest.

If it was only a Southern thing, we could (and would) point and laugh. Unfortunately it is a national thing. Kurt Vonnegut called it a "granfalloon", a totally imaginary unit of identity. People need these; but for God's sake there have to be better ones than college sports.

Paul, these articles regarding sports (particularly college football) are outstanding.

Here is a vote of support for you. I know there are plenty of people that read this blog who hate the sports talk. But please keep it up, and maybe they'll open their closed minds to see just how prescient these articles are to the overall BRA destruction of REAL America.

Note in this column how the National Guard was federalized to integrate the school. That is, local troops were federalized and did the bidding of Washington, D.C. Remember that when all of you try to claim that the National Guard and the US military won't go house to house confiscating legal weapons of law-abiding Amerikkkans. Remember that. They will follow orders, even if they are your neighbors.

I hate football. Waste of time. Always felt that way, even as a kid growing up in Iowa.

You watch your games. I'll go to the shooting range and practice.

Mr. Kersey, you make a good point about the loss of identity leaving a void which the university life and the "trivial contest" fills.

I know many who act as if their useless four-year degrees confer some elite distinction and foam at the mouth over how their school's team is doing. I always guessed it was something about "belonging", but "identity" says it better.

* * *

BTW, the sports pieces are very important and thanks for continuing with them.

The willful ignorance of the average college grad towards the criminality of both college and professional black athletes is horrendous and causes great harm.

I've always believed one of it's main components is proving to themselves and their "peers" that they aren't racist (see--if I can tolerate a guy running a dog-fighting gambling operation as quarterback, this proves I'm totally not racist, dude). Not being racist is what the modern university believes is the highest moral virtue they can offer (provided they restrict this teaching to white males).

I'm glad my grandfather passed before seeing just how fucked up the country has become, i am pissed at his generation for just letting it all go to shit. My father's generation fought in Vietnam and came home to only continue the destruction. My generation largely ignored it all and said screw it, i have no sympathy for them. We have gone to the moon and could've had Men walking on Mars, breathing the atmosphere that White men could wring from the very poles. We could have been well on our way to asteroid mining, colonization of the inner solar system and for what did we toss the mission aside for? Negroes and others who will wear us down, tear us down and kill off all that would make it possible to get off this rock and beyond. If it comes down to it, i will fire on our troops, if it comes down to a draft i swear i will mutiny should the order to come to your homes be given. Between here and a few articles on Caste Football (which I found out about before SBPDL) I understand how our fixation with sports allows for the erosion of merit in not only sports institutions but in every other institution as well.

So my question is this? Is it a healthy thing to be fixated on sports? I like playing some and watching some others just as much as the next guy but I wonder if, like drinking and gambling we (as Whites and as a Country) spend too much time, energy and resources toward something which should be enjoyed in moderation.

Thrasymachus said: "...People need these; but for God's sake there have to be better ones than college sports." Which leads me to my last point:

I know too many guys who could spout off decades worth of statistics and names regarding sports, but can't seem to devote that same effort toward a science, or a language or learning their own history.

Yes, there are better things! I'm glad there are a few who are able to find balence. If you're going to enjoy sports do so responsibly in a way that is not destructive and in a way that enhanses reality (the way we are all enlightened here by tying in sports with black crime) instead of escaping or detracting from it.

Anyone here over 60 years old?

Does the '1961 America' you remember remotely resemble the America you see today?

America did not survive.

We live in a different nation with different values, different laws, different heroes and revised history.

Today's children know nothing of the old America that no longer exists.

• We said "Merry Christmas" with no thought of offending.

• Churches took care of the poor.

• Government was solvent. Taxes were low. Health care was inexpensive as was health insurance.

• Most owned Fords and Chevys. A few owned goofy looking Chryslers or Ramblers. Foreign cars were curiosities; sports cars owned by the rich. Black people drove Cadilacs.

• There were no racist hiring quotas; no 'Affirmative Action' forcing qualified White students out of schools. There was no 'section 8' imposing itself on White neighborhoods. No one knew anyone who was on goverment assistance. We paid for food with cash, not 'stamps'.

• Black crime and violence was not tolerated.

• Mexicans lived in Mexico; not Indiana.

• Black kids attended black schools where they got the attention they needed.

• Americans were not yet brainwashed by 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. There was no White guilt.

• Confederate flags spoke of Southern Culture. No one thought of them as being 'racist'.

It was that America that launched the technological revolution that accelerated human civilizatio to its apex today.

I wonder: What will America look like in 2061?

Interesting how "racism" has become the great big monster-in-the-closet, something in which quite a few people seem to be in deathly fear, even otherwise stalwart football players. Is it that easy for blacks to be terrorized?

Maybe the best defense against a flash mob is not a gun, but simply a Confederate battle flag rolled up in one's pocket which can be quickly unfurled, causing the perpetrators to cower in fear of being enslaved again?

A force of more than 3,000 soldiers and guardsmen and 400 deputy United States marshals fired rifles and hurled tear-gas grenades to stop the violent demonstrations.

Well, now, didn't white students and townsfolk have the right to protest? DWLs seem to approve of the campus protests of the 1960s, even when those protests wrecked far more havoc. And I am not even going to talk about the urban riots of the 1960s and beyond (e.g., Rodney King fracas), all of which broke out after just about every last civil rights bill got passed.

Is dissent and public mayhem only a good thing when it is committed by leftists and approved minorities?

Great article, Paul.

Houston Nutt is nuts. Black people have no sense of history. The 33 year old black mama of a blue chip high school football recruit doesn't have a flipping clue about Mississippi's past. Or, for that matter, anything else that she has not personally seen or done. Notre Dame football, which has struggled for much of the past thirty years (primarily due to coaching talent not player talent) often hears recruits say that 'Notre Dame ain't never been no good'. Of course, it has produced the most national championships, Heisman trophy winners, All-Americans, and NFL players than any other program. Thus, Houston Nutt's parting shot about out-of-state recruits having reservations about going to Mississippi is laughable.

Eventually, the TWL&OSWI (traitorous white liberals and other white idiots)will not be able to keep up their blind faith in their suicidal, and very wrong, social ideas on race.

As the disintegration of America, American values, and all of what made America great(in the past) careens down the cliff toward total collapse, it will become obvious that this faith in lunacy holds no water.

At first, they will find every excuse they can to blame anything they can as to why their implemented ideas have failed and why our nation is collapsing(as they are doing right now.

Eventually, there will be NO denying the truth.

Take names of those who paved the way to this living hell and let's make sure to reward them well for their efforts by sending them to some "multicultural utopia"(like Detroit) as their reward.

I am sure the natives will give them everything they truly deserve as a reward for all their hard work in creating the paradise which will then surround them.

I'm 69, reading a book of ancient history. Civilizations don't survive, they rise and fall. Sumer, Babylon, Syria, Egypt, Crete, Mycenae(early Greek), Hittites, Meades, Persians, Etruscans, Rome, and many others we will never know about.

Of course the America we grew up in is gone, the people are gone. Will the Caucasian dissappear into a large pot of 'others' like the Etruscans (precursors to Rome)? Or will those who made Europe and America be obliterated from history like the Hittites who were holding their own against the Egyptians but were totally forgotten for 3,000 years until rediscovered in the 20th century.

Although our civiliztion borrows from the past, even Sumer (base 60 math) of 5500 years past, there's no guarantee that ours will pass on anything.

The future of America as it was and even as it is will pass away. This is like telling your children they are mortal, i.e. they will die too. We really need to grow up and get real about preserving what we have even in the next decade as PK suggests.

Yes I miss the world of my youth it was understandable to me then. Now I am a 'Stranger in a Strange Land' (to borrow from Heinlien, the book was a dissappointment tho).

Another thing to ponder is the tendency of the military to be very friendly to the concept of enlisted men having families. ( Disclaimer-my hitch was from the late 1980's to the early 1990's,and things may have changed since. Research would be in order. )

I always wondered why the military was so enthusiastic about paying through the nose to support the families of what were very junior enlisted personnel. Senior NCO's and officers, sure, but why were they bending over backwards to help Private 1st Class Snuffy raise his kids? It wasn't like there was a total lack of decent potential troopers who didn't have wives and kids already, and the brass, with rare exceptions, seemed to be all for single troops meeting some local gal and getting hitched.

If finally occurred to me that one possible reason for this enthusiasm was as follows:

A single trooper, with no one but himself to worry about,is just possibly a little more able to say "No" when ordered to do something really repugnant, than a married trooper.

The married trooper may-in fact probably does-have as many,or more scruples than the single trooper. But the married troop has a wife and kids who are dependent on their Dad staying on the straight and narrow and keeping his nose clean. Which could mean following orders to do something really ugly-because if he doesn't do it,not only is he suddenly locked up in the stockade or brig;his wife and kids are kicked out in the street at the same time.

Am I paranoid? You betcha. Am I right? I damn sure hope not.

I can say this let trouble come in my time, my son is almost draft age and I would not want to see him taken into conscription. Pvt Spencer keeping an eye on things.

"Every stupid white person who goes to a football game, watches a game, or buys team clothing is contributing to the deification of negroes and negro worship by young white boys and girls. You are as much a part of the problem as the DWL and their negro shock troops"

well said.

To Anon with a question about military families, quite true and in point of fact there are more single Bantu females in the Army as of 2007 with multiple chitlins than any other single female of White, Brown Etc. When I served it was all the talk amongst our Negro/Brown pukes, how they were getting over on the Man and having taxpayer monies used to support their broods. We had at least one Negro female with three chitlins prior to BCT and she squawked about her plans to adopt some of her sistas damn spawn after getting to her first duty station. Just another scam to hustle more dough/benefits. Largest family I knew in 1990 was a White couple with seven children, he was a SFC and damn dedicated to raising his kids right. If this is true...

"Blacks do not possess the brain power to keep Whites down it is the DWL that use the blacks as shock troops and as part of the never ending grievance industry that keep other Whites down."

...then the target should naturally be DWLs.

That would mean attacking the universities. This is where the grievance industry begins and where it's diseased ideas make their way into the public sphere.

But it's doubtful anything can be done about it. That would take a majority of alums to do some serious and active criticism of their alma maters thereby cheapening their already devalued degrees.

That will never happen.

As we all know, everyone earned their degree by working as hard as Sysiphus. And while we all knew some professors that were commie, race-hustling, diversity-pimp kooks, all of our professors made us work really hard to learn really important stuff.

It hits too close to home. The university experience supports self-image (and vanity) too deeply.

Defunding the universities is another approach, but you run the risk of hurting the football team's chances next year, and God forbid that from ever happening!

Zenster,

Think 2041, when Whites are no longer the majority. Pot-smoking union members at high-tech facilities may be a thing of the past. There will be no more high-tech facilities.

We complain that the Chinese are under pricing us with cheap labor.

We should keep in mind that 'affirmative action' is also eroding the quality of our workforce. Our mfg plants are staffed with lazy, incompetent, dull-minded beneficiaries of quotas whose character content is near zero.

RE the Tower Defense story - check their website, they have a woman staring into space at the top of every page. Not a black woman but what appears to be an asian woman. Really, wtf is that about?

You are right. Our nation will not survive until 2025, unless we Whites take back our country, the country that our ancestors created with their blood, sweat, tears, hard work, and sacrifice. If we have the courage our white ancestors had we can take back our country, the US of A.
The election of one such as Barry Soetero does not speak well for our White race. We must correct this and never allow such a gross error to ever occur again.

Just a friendly reminder from the token Liberal.

We're not all DWLs. Egalitarianism isn't a dirty word- to me it means everyone has the same chance. If Sheboonquisha gets $900 a week for her brood, so does Betty. And if the system can only afford $10 a week for each child, so be it. Betty is grateful for the assisstance, while Sheboonqisha's cries of gibsmedat are ignored.

Most liberal policies are functional, in the absences of a parasitic underclass. But, of course, no amount if wishful thinking is going to make the apes go away. I understand that, among those non-functional liberal policies are the pillars of BRA. And like Solomon, I'm willing to pull those pillars down even if it kills me.

The whole idea of a left and right wing in America is an illusion at best. There are those who support the system, BRA and all, as long as their profits grow or they get reelected. And there are those who can see that the emperor is naked.

I'm quite certain that my ideal, "liberal" America has more in common with the "conservative" America most people who follow Paul want, than either of our ideals have with the unadulterated bullshit that comes down from Washington.

And to the poster talking about the rise and fall of civilizations- of course, America and the West will end. But the fall of the Etruscans ushered in the Roman Empire; Rome's fall brought the Dark Ages to Europe. We have a choice, about our legacy, about what form the next civilization will have.

Laz: @ Zenster:

What suspensions? Guarantee they're union. Meaning, it's just a matter of time before they're back at work.

I'd bet you long odds all seventeen individuals in question, if not quite a few more at Tower, definitely will experience at least two things:

1.) Rigorous drug testing.

2.) A complete and total inability to stay clean long enough to ever even pass the very first of those drug tests.

Jeff....

That was Samson who pulled the pillars down.

Anonymous said...

Speaking of Samson....

YHWH had raised up Samson for the purpose of driving the other alien/non Hebrew races out from amongst his own people and to make the Hebrews racially homogenous (as God) still requires of his people. Blessings and curses for obeying or violating this rule all throughout.
Hmmmm?

@Anon-

Yes, yes it was. Temple and Solomon are just way too closely linked in my head. Interesting point by the following Anon regarding the purpose of Samson's strength.

Americans have been stripped of any meaningful identity, so they adopt the new harmless and socially acceptable identities. We have no culture, only cultural merchandise. This team, that band, this style, that haircut, this tattoo, that car, all are surrogates for clan and nation. T-shirts, hats, and body mutilations are today's flags. How soulless can you be, to wear the DK banner, seeking common cause with other buyers of her clothing as if it meant anything at all.

Mississippi is one place I would never live in. My grandfather left Mississippi in the late 1940's to get away from Jim Crow policies. Today I wouldn't live there. Not a place I would like. Yes, I am Black, and Mississippi has the highest percentage of Blacks in the USA. I don't identify with the South generally, and I wouldn't live in Mississippi. Too much of a step back in time for me.

And personally, I don't like college football. I don't cheer for any SEC teams or ACC teams. For me it's Major League Baseball, soccer, and hockey.

"Obviously you lack reading comprehension. Blacks do not possess the brain power to keep Whites down it is the DWL that use the blacks as shock troops and as part of the never ending grievance industry that keep other Whites down."

If that is the case, which I don't believe it is, then please explain to me how the Greenwood district(in Tulsa) was the "Black Wall Street" before the Tulsa race riot. Takes alot of brain power for that. And in those days, with the obstacles that Blacks had to face, quite a feat.

That's nice. Unfortunately, the powers-that-be do not subscribe to your definition.

"Most liberal policies are functional, in the absences of a parasitic underclass."

No, most liberal policies are designed to subsidize--and therefore increase the size of--a parasitic underclass. They are more the result of the Cloward-Piven strategy than they are of your high-minded notion of egalitarianism.

Everything I said and you were fixated on that? Wow.

I don't like anything having to do with the Confederate army, Confederate flag, or any of that stuff at Ole Miss. Personally, I'm happy they changed their mascot to The Bear. Colonel Rebel is reminiscent of a time when Black people had it bad. I don't respect that song "the South shall rise again". Whenever I hear that, I think of the slave days.

And the descendant of those blacks who owned slaves and those slaves have an average income of $32 000.

Those people's descendants should be thankful that they were sold slaves and that those slaves were sold as they are much better off than the slave sellers of Africa.

Well, I'm not thankful.

"So where in Africa would mr. evergreen want to live?"

I don't know, I haven't thought of it. Right now I'm just cynical. I know if I moved to Africa I wouldn't make it. On the other hand, my ancestors didn't have the option to make the CHOICE to come here. It was by force they came and then were continually treated like they were unwanted. It was through the Civil Rights movement that Blacks got their rights. I am going to elaborate more on what I said. I am not thankful that my ancestors were uprooted by force. I say this because all of this talk about freedom in the USA, and Black people are enslaved. Sounds very hypocritical to me and participating in the slave trade to an extent. I'm grateful that I was born in the USA in the 1980's. It was a great time for me to be born and a great place because I was on equal footing. Middle class home, educated parents(particularly my father), same rights as everyone else. If I was born in the USA in 1920, I would be unhappy. I would want to leave. In fact, some African-Americans went to the Soviet Union because of the bigotry in the USA. I am grateful for this time and this day. I am very unhappy about how my ancestors got here.
