Paul Walker's last movie (well, that he finished at least) before his daredevil death.
It's a remake of a French film, District B-13.
|Yes, in Paul Walker's final movie Brick Mansions, a huge security wall is built around 83 percent black Detroit (with the government planning to detonate a neutron bomb in the city)|
Premise is simple: the government wants to detonate a neutron bomb in Detroit and start over (in District B-13, the French government wants to detonate a neutron bomb in the heavily non-white suburbs of Paris...).
Pardon the pun, but the movie's already bombed.
What's fascinating about Brick Mansions is how the New York Times describes the plot:
It’s 2018, and Detroit is under martial law, Brick Mansions is sealed behind checkpoints and security walls, and the mayor and his cronies have cooked up a shady redevelopment scheme.Detroit in 2014 should be under martial law.
In fact, the city should have been under martial law since about 1967.
There's an article making the rounds with the title: Will Detroit Be The First Major Chinese in the U.S.?
You know what? If the Chinese successfully colonize Detroit (knowing that Detroit was almost 100 percent white 100 years ago, and is 83 percent black Detroit... well, it's quite obvious the black colonization of the city failed miserably), the question remains of what they'll do with the black population found there?
And will Senator Rand Paul and his Republican friends decided to open a Republican outreach center (all signs in Mandarin!) for these newly nationalized Chinese-Americans citizens?
Oh... never mind.
Let's put it this way: a neutron bomb might be far more humane a solution to Detroit's current woes than the what will occur when the Chinese start colonizing the city.
The experiment of Detroit as a colony of black southerners has... failed.
|A propaganda poster from the original version of the Red Dawn remake (until China complained and the movie turned the invaders into North Koreans...) Freedom is a lie in the multicultural hell America has become.|
As part of the Great Migration of Blacks from the south, the city of Detroit was remade in the black image.
What some label blight is only the manifestation of the regression to the black mean. [Detroit Homeowners Gun Down Burglars as Police Wait for Cars, Bloomberg, 4-29-14]:
Even as bankrupt Detroit’s residents have resorted to gunning down neighborhood burglars, its police await money for patrol cars, radios, armored vests and modern computers.
Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr last month pledged $36.2 million for police from a $120 million loan from Barclays Plc approved by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Stephen Rhodes. Department officials wouldn’t discuss plans for the money, though Orr’s shopping list includes vehicles, station houses and a training facility for the city, which piled up $18 billion of debt by the time it filed for bankruptcy in July.
The money can’t come soon enough for a shrunken department that patrols 139 square miles (360 square kilometers) scarred by blight and poverty with decade-old cruisers. Although crime is down under new Police Chief James Craig, attacks in recent months have residents on edge and reinforced the city’s image as a danger zone.
“People don’t feel safe,” said Barry Ross, co-founder of Detroit Coalition Against Violence. “The new chief is trying, but the odds seem insurmountable.”
“I’m not saying it’s not possible, but it’s like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro without equipment.”
Craig last month defended citizens’ right to shoot if attacked. Indeed, eight times this year residents killed intruders. In the most recent incident, gunshots from a homeowner April 17 interrupted a break-in and mortally wounded the driver of a getaway SUV that crashed into a house across the street, according to police. Two suspects fled on foot.
Craig has held raids of apartment complexes and neighborhoods infested with drugs, guns and fugitives. His statements about self-defense caused a stir.
“If you’re confronted with an immediate threat to your safety, you’re not going to have time to dial 911,” Craig said in a televised interview on WDIV in March.
His remarks only emphasized that a legally armed citizenry can deter crime, Woody said. Twelve justifiable homicides through mid-April -- including home invasion shootings -- compare with 10 during the same period last year.
“We’re not talking about this big, huge sweeping number,” Woody said. “It’s really a matter of people defending their homes just as they did last year and the year before that, before he got here.”
More than 29,000 Detroiters are legally armed and more are packing every day. The 6,974 concealed-pistol licenses issued to residents in 2013 were more than double those in 2009. Even more -- 7,584 -- were issued in 2012, according to the Michigan State Police. The number of unregistered guns is unknown.
Armed Academic“I’m very concerned a public official, a police chief, would raise the flag to shoot when you see the whites of their eyes,” said Carl Taylor, a sociology professor at Michigan State University in East Lansing who specializes in violence and gangs.
The 64-year-old Detroit native carries a gun when doing research in the city, though he said what’s really needed is a “Peace Corps-style” intervention. He said he’s watched once-vibrant neighborhoods descend into lawlessness caused by poverty, bad parenting and poor education.
“The badlands are much larger in Detroit than other urban centers,” he said.Well, Detroit is an 83 percent black city.
There aren't enough white people to keep alive the delicate flame of civilization, with the harsh black winds constantly blowing it out.
Those once-vibrant neighborhoods were filled with white people (built by their ancestors); as whites were replaced by blacks (with white people moving to the suburbs of the city and creating new, vibrant neighborhoods), lawlessness helped enshrine a climate where poverty was the natural outgrowth of the new racial majority.
Though Republicans such as Rand Paul might see "natural Republicans" among the ruins of Detroit, the Chinese colonizers will see these same people - who helped usher in the conditions where ruin became an inevitability - as a general liability.
Let's put it this way: a neutron bomb might be a far more humane solution to Detroit's current woes than the one the Chinese will enact.
Like I said at the start: I wanted to like Brick Mansions, but the future of the city isn't nearly as peaceful as a neutron bomb would be.
