The Dis-Integration of America: Part I

PK Note: The following essay is a product of regular commenter Zenster. SBPDL is the product of one person (though the return of Mencken to edit essays - normally a number of hours after it is posted, so blast me for any errors - will help take this site to even greater heights), but we are proud to give Zenster the chance to run this essay. On Wednesday, we will debut the cover to Stuff Black People Don't Like: 365Black Days of Judging by Content of Character. Two weeks from that, we debut the cover to The Opiate of America: College Football in Black and White. In 2012, we aim to misbehave. Two weeks after, the cover to the book on Detroit's collapse. Two weeks thereafter, the cover to Down to Slavery: Obama's War on White America

So to all those who have donated money, please be patient. Your books are almost ready. The wait will be worth it. On Martin Luther King Day, we will be debuting a huge video and be going for a money bomb on that same day. It is time we judge by character in America; at SBPDL, we plan to do just that.

Check Vdare for a big article tonight by PK, and look at Alt Right for one tomorrow.

“I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.”
― Lyndon Baines Johnson ―

It was not just a misplaced sense of egalitarianism but greed, in both its financial and political forms, that drove early desegregation.

The Dawn of Big Government

Lyndon B. Johnson and the Democratic Party’s “Great Society” programs represented social engineering on a scale unseen since Roosevelt’s New Deal, which was just another Democratic boondoggle.

America’s New Deal focused on the "3 Rs" of Relief, Recovery, and Reform. Among its reforms was one of the most detrimental economic strategies imaginable and it was instrumental for the “Great Society” ― with its “War on Poverty” ― to become a reality. This reformation was a shift off of the Gold Standard which allowed the U.S. government to print fiat currency, a crippling addiction that it has not shaken to this very day.

Instead, by printing fiat currency the Federal government has waged a devastating economic war upon its population’s most productive segment, the Middle Class. Being among America’s most diligent savers, inflating the currency supply had a direct effect of looting from Middle Class savings and retirement accounts that which could not be extracted through increased taxes. This is because tax increases were rather routinely opposed by the Middle Class whose conservatism tended to favor small government.

Had the Gold Standard remained in effect, it is questionable as whether the Democratic Party could ever have financed the massive welfare state it then sought to bring about. The damage done to America by this social engineering was not confined to creating a totally dependent class of tax consumers. This push for equal rights would see the abandonment of America’s space exploration and an unheralded diversion of funds into Liberal Socialist programs that bore every prospect of dwarfing the New Deal in both scope and magnitude.

While the New Deal had an adjusted cost of $557 billion (2011), it dealt with the entirety of American society save only the very most wealthy. The “Great Society” was focused largely upon those dwelling below the poverty line, which was some 22% of Americans in 1965. Therefore, its adjusted cost of $344 billion (2011) would require an approximate multiplier of 4.5 times were it to have addressed the majority of Americans in an equal manner. This would make the “Great Society” programs cost some $1.548 trillion (2011), far in excess of the New Deal and surpassed only by one other expenditure. To put this in perspective, the combination of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid took up 43 percent of our national budget in 2010.
The Bailout Flow Chart

As it stands, the future costs of existing New Deal programs sees America facing a standing bill totaling some $50 trillion dollars. Nor was this lingering debt something that could not have been anticipated, even back then. In 1920 the Civil Service Retirement System was started and it soon required taxpayer-funded supplements to meet payments for retired federal employees. From the linked article:
Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin explains LBJ's approach, "The subjects might change, but the essentials remained the same: in the opening, an expression of dire need; in the middle, a vague proposal; in the end, a buoyant description of the anticipated benefits--all contained in an analysis presented in a manner that often failed to distinguish between expectations and established realities ... Pass the bill now, worry about its effects and implementation later--this was the White House strategy." [emphasis added]

All of which is highly reminiscent of the strategy used by South Park’s underpants gnomes.

● Phase One: Collect underpants.
● Phase Two: ?
● Phase Three: Profit.

It is sad to see just how little change there has been over the last half century with respect to America’s planning and enactment of large scale social programs. Despite repeated and clear demonstrations of federal incompetence, a new generation of US voters is being persuaded that their government is capable of managing corporate enterprises where it has absolutely no charter to do so.

The Origins of “Hate Crimes”

Aside from renewed large-scale federal spending, the “Great Society” programs also set in motion anti-discrimination laws which would serve as the cornerstone for today’s Politically Correct “hate speech” and “hate crime” laws. These modern Thoughtcrime laws found their footing in the Fair Housing Act of 1968.

A principal thrust of this legislation was to remove all legal enforcement of restrictive housing covenants that previously assured neighborhood racial cohesiveness. In doing so, the Fair Housing Act institutionalized unequal protection under the law by creating seven protected classes. These categories were: race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, and familial status.

Little did many expect that this relatively innocuous piece of legislation might serve as part of a lever that would one day drive the most massive default in American history. The cherished “American Dream” would be forcibly wedged into a government equation that had long ago stopped being about individual “pursuit of happiness” and equality of opportunity in favor of equality of outcome and mandated entitlement. Few, at that time, stopped to remember Gerald Ford’s uncharacteristically prescient words:

”A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.”

INSERT FHA LISTING

And give the Federal government did. Between 1945 and 1960 large numbers of federally subsidized home loans were financed through the FHA (Federal Housing Administration) and VA (Veterans Administration).

The Federal government refused to back mortgages in “racially changing” (i.e., “redlined”), localities due to them being regarded as higher risk propositions. Thus was de facto segregation enforced by law and it provided largely White loan recipients with a solid taste of how crime-free such neighborhoods could be.

It is a small wonder that Whites so vigorously resisted newly mandated laws regarding home sales which only served to devastate this once Elysian setting. This will soon bring us to the role that financial greed played in destroying much of the urban “American Dream”. First, however, it is necessary to examine the other side of Big Government’s segregation coin.

The Not-So Civil Rights Act

Another “Great Society” program was the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This sweeping response to Jim Crow violated Constitutional freedoms with respect to both right of association, management-employee relations and the ability of States to determine their own racial policies under the Tenth Amendment. Many Republicans opposed this fundamental bias contained by the Civil Rights Act, something that probably even cost Barry Goldwater the 1964 presidential election.

A bare few managed to foresee that this sort of obligatory socialization would create an over-reliance by minorities upon government mediation in what were largely public affairs of individual choice. Conversely, these same “protected classes” also began to automatically presume upon their protection as a form of entitlement. This sense of prerogative was only further augmented by a lavish program of welfare benefits that would, in reality, serve to create an entire a near-permanent underclass of multi-generation urban dwellers that were wholly dependent upon government ― in reality, taxpayer ― largesse.

While the United States Housing Act of 1937 made provisions for government sponsored assistance to low income families and individuals, this did not come into its own until 1965 with the Section 23 Leased Housing Program. It was further amended in 1974 to create the now familiar Section 8 housing program.

Massive inner city housing projects served to cluster together poverty-line residents and became a breeding ground for some of the most concentrated urban crime activity ever seen at that time. The swift decline of living conditions in these gigantic housing blocks only served to aggravate public perception of them as warehouses for drug addicts and street thugs. Conversely, these aggregations of low income residents also created a sort of de facto segregation.

Government housing built in South St. Louis

Such urban housing projects were notorious for being predominately Black in population. This bunching together of Blacks engendered a proliferation of mannerisms, patois and what can only be called “social rituals” that tended to create an artificial “culture” which derived from what were mostly impoverished circumstances. Attempts by Blacks to enshrine so-called “Ebonics” is a prime example of this.

A useful comparison is how American Black “Soul Food” ― similar with respect to many other peasant culture cuisines ― was, in reality, a reflection of the inadequate nutritional resources made available to slaves at that time. While glorified in this modern era as a genuine artifact of early slave culture it, nonetheless, does not represent a truly healthful or nourishing bill of fare. Perhaps, even more ironic, is the simple fact that a low-calorie regimen of traditional “Soul Food” would better serve many typically obese American Blacks than the sugary and fattening fast-food diet they often seem to prefer.

So it was that the atmosphere in many urban housing projects cultivated a crop of highly negative behavioral modes that weren’t being reinforced so much by supposedly “oppressive” external influences than voluntary internal ones.

This was the fertile ground encountered by much of America’s late century “Black Power” movement that was largely responsible ― along with other Culturally Marxist mindsets ― for embedding a strong sense of victimhood and entitlement now currently in evidence among many urban Blacks. This largely unwarranted sense of entitlement only promised to grow and spread into other parts of the population.

Where the Blight of Living Dead reside in Atlanta... the true Walking Dead

Unbeknownst at the time both to Liberals and Conservatives alike, these gargantuan apartment blocks and Section 8 housing programs were, perhaps, America’s first genuine glimpse of how Liberal Socialist intentions would just as often pave a road straight to hell.

Blockbusting

Enter rapacious real estate agents and the unsavory but lucrative practice of “blockbusting”. Frequently, several small realtors would pool funds in order to finance the purchase of a dwelling in a predominantly White neighborhood specifically so that it could then be sold to a Black or minority family. This prompted an immediate exodus by White residents in an attempt to dodge the certain decline in property values that would so often follow. This allowed these same disreputable realtors to then “flip” all of the remaining homes; often at handsome profits as anxious White owners sacrificed hard earned equity for the sake of a swift sale.

Through construction of inner city housing projects and gradual dismantling of urban residential areas through blockbusting, there arose the phenomenon that SBPDL has accurately labeled as “Black Undertow”. It is an almost irresistible force that has already seen once great cities like Detroit reduced to the status of Third World living standards. Nearly all Black run cities and counties reflect this trend.

Most ironic of all is how so many of these government efforts at forcing racial harmony are not just spectacularly unsuccessful but that they can actually serve to worsen tensions. There is no Constitutional law that forbids an individual from being racist. Only public condemnation can serve to chastise such a stance. Instead, through the Civil Rights Act and its Fair Housing Program, America’s government had sought to legislate morality. It is a Sisyphean task and one which government has no legitimate part in.

How strange is it that modern America is just as segregated today as it was half a century ago? Jared Taylor at American Renaissance had this to say: (Video time point ― 06:06)

“White people say they’re all in favor of integration and yet there is a profoundly important act of integration that they could undertake but they almost never do. A White person could buy a house in a Black neighborhood. Nowadays there are plenty of middle class Black neighborhoods where a White person would be perfectly safe. But not even the most Liberal Whites will take that basic integrationist step. Despite what they say they, too, prefer the company of Whites. Just as I do.

Were you aware that the statistics for residential segregation in the United States are almost identical to what they were fifty or sixty years ago? Despite all of the encouragement and propaganda in favor of mixing of the races, Whites prefer to live with Whites and Blacks prefer to live with Blacks, Asians… Hispanics … there is self-segregation virtually across the board.”

Clearly, government mandated desegregation does not work.

Subsequent parts of this article will examine how a prevalent sense of entitlement has acted to help destroy much of what has been built up over the last 100 years. There will also be a brief look at ways of possibly averting what threatens to be a race war of national proportions.

Zenster, did you design that flow chart? It's amazing to see just how far we've fallen in so short a time. I liken it to tapping on the head of a nail, very gently, for decades and then: Wham-O!

They really it it home didn't they? And you can't blame it ALL on Obama and the liberals; the Neocons are just as guilty. The Neocons (ex: Bush, Cheney, McCain, Santorum!), at the behest of the defense contractors and banksters, are more than happy to send young American and British boys off to die in their wars defending "the tribe." How sad that their survival was better ensured by the Threat of force rather than by actually using it! Once our cards are laid out and the world sees that we don't even have a full house, they'll be pushed into the sea--after they've exhausted Western civilization... The public (throughly PSYOP'd by the New York/Washington/Hollywood media cabal) of course will cry for war up to and after the moment they kiss their sons goodbye.

But it's a shame we've spent so much on integration only to achieve the same state we were in decades ago, although with a whole lot more property damage! It is of course, not only the structural damage we can visibly see that we rally against, but the unseen scars that successive generations of Whites have had to endure at the hands of the black morass and those who propagate it.

Luckily for my mother, and for my own early life, those housing projects indicated as being in South St. Louis were actually in the north part of the city. And those were the Pruitt-Igoes, the stuff of national "legend."

Wonderful read, zenster. One point to nitpick wrt the gold standard: tricky Dick slammed the gold window after the state already got in debt via trade. Its a small pet peive of mine about the gold standard...there is no historical basis for backed currency keeping the government out of trouble. Clipping coins, fractional reserve games or quantitative easing are all basically the same historical strategy of greedy governments

Paul,

Are you ever going to address the demographic climate change that Spanish Lake, Missouri went through?

You did it for Clayton County, Georgia and Detroit, Michigan.

Director Phillip Andrew Morton is even doing a documentary about it.

Here is the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFZjtTbx16U

It's about a working class white city that was subject to the climate change of the black undertow.

That chart is from a ritholtz.com article titled, "Bailout Costs vs Big Historical Events".

And you can't blame it ALL on Obama and the liberals; the Neocons are just as guilty.

You are absolutely right. Politicians from both sides of the aisle, along with US corporations, are gaming the system and John Q. Public is pretty much helpless in the face of such a coordinated effort.

I agree with you about the "unseen scars". Cultural Marxism likes nothing more than re-opening the old wounds of White Guilt and self-loathing. It's up to "those that can see", to generate highly viral memes which will counteract these historical ailments.

I understand, but at least the gold standard made it a little more difficult to debase America's currency.

As to Nixon, one of his most brilliant political maneuverings was also the most lethal for America. Opening trade with Communist China drove a significant wedge in between them and the Soviet Union.

Unfortunately, it also opened the door for China's hollowing out of our nation's industrial base.

Ironic that you mention Spanish Lake, because the demolition of the Pruitt-Igoes, the housing project pictured in this article, is what helped drive the disintegration of Spanish Lake.

Sorry Zen, Im reading the article now and will comment after. But I had to say this for PAUL K:

Tv is on the in the background and apparently there is a new Air Force commercial out with a black guy talking about how great it is to be a pilot and that the AF helped propel him to the stars (literally as an astronaut). It only featured the black and I had to laugh considering how I read on here a bit back that only 2% are pilots.

Regarding LBJ (that's President Lyndon Baines Johnson) and Martin Luther King: Johnson gave MLK everything he demanded on civil rights and poverty programs, and how did MLK respond? By stabbing LBJ in the back over Vietnam, by denouncing America as a global purveyor of violence, and by encouraging even more urban disintegration.

One is tempted to see LBJ as an almost tragic figure, betrayed by the man for whom he did the most. Because without the federal government's backing, how much of the civil rights agenda ever would have gone forward?

I suppose there was a time when the vision of an equal society for all might have made some sense, at least when it was seen as coming in the future. But here we are in that future -- we passed 2001 a decade ago -- and we might contemplate what happened to our space odyssey. America in the 21st century is coming to look more like the world of "Blade Runner." And yet nothing seems to be done about it, other than opening the floodgates to even more dysfunction.

Is it any wonder that people are stockpiling ammunition?

Great article Zenster.

It was at City Hospital, next door to Pruitt Igo, where I had my "ah-ha" moment as a medical student. Even this crowd cannot imagine the pathology I encountered there.

I was not familiar with the climate change in Spanish Lake. I might take a drive there next week to take a look.

The European stock that established this nation has been progressively diluted, by design, by the left in order to implement their utopian schemes. The fallout is on display for anyone to see. The abandonment of Truth has been attended by the purposeful deracination of our people who have been stripped of their ethnicity, their history, their roots and their people.

This from Dostoevsky's Demons: "And those who have no people, have no God! You may be sure that all those who cease to understand their people and lose their connection with them, at once, in the same measure, also lose the faith of their fathers, and become either atheists or indifferent."

We are being deprived of our identity as a "people" without which we will become less than fully human. How is it possible that something so utterly essential as racial identity could be conditioned out of us? Our humanity, stripped of its racial and ethnic roots shall easily succumb to whatever ill wind that blows.

The love of family cannot indiscriminately be extended to strangers but must finally be organically and naturally extended to those with whom we are most closely related by blood and soil. To expect anything more from man is to engage in the most egregious nihilistic utopianism that rips man from his sustaining milleu. Man, cut adrift from his people becomes a beast.

Actually, Zenster is correct about the gold standard. The US stopped using gold for international payments under Nixon in 1971 in the wake of Nixon's final de-pegging of the dollar to gold. It was illegal for US citizens to own gold until the after 1971. Domestically, the gold standard was effectively abolished in 1933 under FDR with his executive order confiscating gold, which was why the (probably now-empty) depository was established at Ft. Knox. No one has been allowed to see what is inside Ft. Knox since the 1970s. My bet is that Uncle Benyamin's pals have absconded with the stuff long ago.

Views are changing, I recently had a conversation with a family member that 3 years ago would have been expousing every liberal argument they could wrap their mouth around. This did not happen during the latest conversation...and the question "What can we do about it?" came up. I couldn't have been happier to voice my opinion of "what we can do about it."

Also, thank you to countenance for that link...at the end of the trailer I was literally dumbfounded for a couple of seconds.

Mr. Zenster wrote: As to Nixon, one of his most brilliant political maneuverings was also the most lethal for America. Opening trade with Communist China drove a significant wedge in between them and the Soviet Union.

I understand your trade point, however historically it was not Nixon who initiated the rapprochement, but rather Mao. Since the end the of Great Leap Forward relations between the USSR and China had deteriorated. Mao was decidedly against Kruschev's de-Stalinification, and the Soviets always considered China part of their intrinsic sphere of influence.

By the time of the Cultural Revolutionthe two powers showed open hostility with border fighting. In fact, when Lin Biao, Vice Chairman of the CCP and Mao's ostensible heir, fled China, his route was toward the Soviet Union, presumably to seek asylum.

Mao, ever the opportunist, saw the US as the means to counter the Soviet threat. In fact, the original Chinese overture (Edgar Snow at Tiannamen) was not understood by Nixon, and the Chinese, ever the subtle ones, became more open about it (the ping pong diplomacy). This is recounted in, among other places, Kissinger's White House Years.

Of course by "brilliant political manuevering' you could mean Nixon's machinations here in the US in convincing Congress to go along with the deal, in which case your point is well founded (except for the wedge part which predated Nixon).

The above does not, though, argue against your economic point.

I wish you would start a blog, I would certainly read it. I was raised in the suburbs of St. Louis but consider the city my hometown, as well, and I hate what the social engineering and blacks have done to it.

Full Disclosure: back in the early 1970's, my mother insisted our family attend our local United Church of Christ (not the same congregation as Rev. Wright's but the same denomination). The UCC had founded an inner city mission, the Caroline Mission. In partnership with some residents of the Darst-Webbe housing complex, our youth group used to go down there and help them clean up the complex. It was horrible. Filth and rubbish everywhere. I remember we painted and cleaned the entryway of one building, returned a few months later, and it was already as filthy as it had been.

Even worse, we were cautioned that because we were white, it was not safe for us to appear on the streets there without someone from the mission who was known to the black community. Nobody ever even questioned whether or not we should be giving our time, effort, money and resources to people so hostile to us that it was not safe for us to walk "their" streets in broad daylight.

Looking back, I'm furious and disgusted that I was part of this. The United Church of Christ has a lot to answer for. It is one of the most left-wing denominations around (even when one of its individual congregations is all white). Even 40+ years ago, the leftist indoctrination was so complete that nobody asked why when our tax dollars were used to provide housing for these people, we also had to come in and clean up after them. The few residents who cared about their complex were lauded as heroes for wanting to improve their living conditions but what I remember is how they stood around and watched us do the work. It was as if we owed them that, along with everything else.

I've done my time with the black community in this way and in others (e.g. working for a landlord who accepted Section 8) and I've seen up close and personal what Paul and the rest of you are talking about. For those who haven't, it's as bad as they say and even worse than you can imagine.

"Consider homicide...Mississippi has the highest rate of church attendance in America...But Mississippians are far more likely to be murdered than other Americans.

On the other hand, we have Vermont, where people are the most likely to skip church. Its murder rate is only about one-fourth as high as the rest of the country. New Hampshire, the second-least religious state, has the lowest murder rate."

This analysis ostensibly shows that religiousity isn't the prime factor in the general law-abiding-ness of a society, but no explanation is offered as to why Vermont has much lower crime rates....until we get this response in the remarks:

"Vermont's murder rate has nothing to do with morality and everything to do with the fact that Vermont has some of the friendliest gun laws in the nations."

The tuskeegee air force has been grounded.

At least when I was in college air force ROTC at one of the nation's largest universities, there were very few chocolate faces.

They tended to disappear quick after getting a semester or two of free books and tuition.

It's a lot of work to get a pilot slot and very competitive. I'm not sure they could very easily prop up a black candidate, since you have unending air force work to do along with your schoolwork. That requires you to show up, and not doing so will kill your chances.

come think of it, besides sponging free books and tuition before dropping out, they hogged all the cool stuff like airplane and glider rides.

The race card worked for them in that dept too.

Secondly, FUCK LBJ! I'm no more tempted to see him as a tragic figure than I am to see Trotsky a tragic figure as a victim of the excesses of the Bolshevik Revolution. The old saying "You lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas," could not be more applicable than when referring to LBJ.

Ivan Shatov you hit the ball out of the park! The Cultural Marxist seek to break any bonds that hold together the European People. Once we can no longer identify as a "people", we have no vested interest in fighting against "the system." This is the same "system" that has been destroying Western Civilization for decades if not longer. THEY are SCARED TO DEATH of the unification of the white tribe.... I wonder why? Black racial identity, Asian racial identity, "Hispanic" racial identity are all supported and given MORAL credence by the MSM and our ruling Elite. They KNOW that advocating for racial identity among NON WHITES ONLY will lead to social and political conflict. The goal was never a racially harmonious, multicultural society but rather the overthrow and downfall of Western Civ. in order to pave the way for world wide Communism and suffering.

BTW- China is also under the control of the Cultural Marxist elites via the "One Child Policy"

My experience visiting white cities is that politeness to strangers is almost competitive. among humans, of course.

I filled up my car the other day and the clerk buzzed me on the pump's speaker to welcome me to the gas station. I thought I accidentally hit a button or something but nope, just being nice :)

Besides, when among other whites in a crowd or something, you have common interests at a minimum and are decently likely to be related to someone.

That thought never enters black's minds in a similar situation I guess.

They gangsta!

Oh and the commentor that mentioned the brutha with a highpoint shooting sideways out to 50 feet:

I wish I saw that. Thanks for noting he shot a hi-point.

for non firearms peeps it's about the cheapest, wickedly fugly pistol that people love to hate. It runs under $150 and comes in 9mm and other calibers.

why should he have anything else?!?

I see mexican gang bangers skulk around the ranges now and then, a way overrepresented asian population, and whitey.

Black people...well lets just say black people don't like shooting ranges.

Ironically, they love to shoot each other, though!

The two aerial shots of those housing projects just speaks volumes about black dependency on the government. It just makes my blood boil that I'm subsidizing these parasites all the while working my ass off to provide housing and education for my own family.

Absolutely true. What rational white parent would choose to send their child to a black school? Anyone who says it wouldn't matter is a damned liar.

Ivan Shatov: The love of family cannot indiscriminately be extended to strangers but must finally be organically and naturally extended to those with whom we are most closely related by blood and soil.

I'd wager that there is a deep seated subconscious or unconscious revulsion to doing otherwise. If anything, the "selfish gene" would be rearing up on its hind legs and barking at the moon, so to speak.

The whole issue of how rigorously modern sociocultural influences have implanted inappropriate Christian universalism and its secular counterpart, altruism, could easily account for much of the neuroses that are so commonly encountered among Whites.

To recall, however inaccurately, a scene from "The Fountainhead". Ellsworth Toohey's niece, Emily, is pondering with him, the imminent failure of her relationship with young architect, Peter Keating.

Ellsworth, a prototypical Multiculturalist, chides Emily for being so wrapped up in herself. He chafes Emily to let go of her fixation on love or contentment as they are but crude aspects of life that she must shed before she may enter into heaven.

She innocently inquires, "But, Uncle, if I let go of all that, what then shall be left of me to walk through those gates?"

Toohey conceals his dismay at having been so deftly unmasked by dismissing her dagger-sharp question as mere sophistry.

So it is with this universalist altruism rubbish. Those with wits enough to object when asked to share out their hard-earned savings and worldly goods with alien savages are scorned or ostracized for being "selfish" and "greedy"; just as Those Who Can See are routinely branded as racists.

It is all too easy to imagine how a lifetime of such conflicting and counter-survival messages could render one a permanent resident of the psychiatrist's couch.

Hey, if anybody's child is going to be in desperate need of higher education, it's the Black kid. Hell,

After all, some white high school graduates make more money than some black college grads.

So CAL Snowman: Black recidivist culture is a cake they baked themselves, no white ingredients necessary!

Very succinct.

China is also under the control of the Cultural Marxist elites via the "One Child Policy"

All of us will be very lucky if the after-effects of this misguided program become clear even just one or two decades from now.

Throughout the entirety of history, there has been only one way for a country to dispose of a large excess male population. South Korea, Japan and Taiwan all need to be constructing nuclear weapons arsenals to counteract China's misguided policies.

A few years back, after decades of saber rattling, it was absolutely hilarious to see China get all indignant over Taiwan calmly informing the Politburo that any strike upon Formosa would result in the Three Gorges dam eating a flight of cruise missiles.

One of the sole benefits to be had from China's modernization is that it now has more to lose. Willfully sacrificing the stability and comfort of its citizens with clumsily planned wars is a sure way to see the Politburo get sent to the wall.

Soul Food and all peasant cuisine is extremely nourishing because people who spent all working fields needed it. The problem was obtaining enough of it.

You're a moron.

Hookay, then please explain away this:

Traditionally soul food included high amounts of fat, salt, sugar and other high calorie ingredients. In addition the cooking methods often included unhealthy cooking methods and techniques such as deep-frying in animal fat. Often breads, biscuits, cakes and pies also included animal fat as well.

Traditional soul food has resulted in many health concerns such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and other health issues for African Americans.

It's one of the basic functions of government. Do you think murder, theft and rape being illegal has nothing to do with morality? There are arguments against the Civil Rights Act, but this isn't one of them.

No, legislating morality is not one of the basic functions of government. You should not infer that it is from the fact that legitimate governments can and do pass laws prohibiting certain words and actions.

You are confusing protecting persons and property with protecting people's feelings. Laws against murder, rape and theft are about protecting persons and property, which is one of the basic functions of government. The fact that there are points of overlap between government provided protection of persons and property and the moral framework offered by Western civilization does not mean the two are synonymous.

So the argument that the Civil Rights Act is an illegitimate attempt by the government to legislate morality is indeed valid.

Outstanding reply, Kylie!

I remain astonished at how so many people conflate morals (not enforceable), with ethics (enforceable).

Thank you for stepping in with such a great responding comment.

This just in at Gateway Pundit:

Obama Freed Top Taliban Leaders From Gitmo

If there is one singularly disintegrating force at play in today's America, it is Barack Hussein Obama, or BHO for short. With his abject racism, he has spawned a whole new generation of "racists" and rightly so.

I take no delight in anticipating how these newly released terrorist leaders will likely cause the death of more American soldiers. Let's hope that any such thing helps to ensure an unsuccessful reelection bid by BHO.

"This allowed these same disreputable realtors to then “flip” all of the remaining homes; often at handsome profits as anxious White owners sacrificed hard earned equity for the sake of a swift sale."

No one ever mocked these people for fleeing good, safe, neighborhoods at extreme expense. All you need to know.

"There is no Constitutional law that forbids an individual from being racist."

Back to the invisible hand on this one, when labor was scarce, and we didn't have some 50 to 60 million 3rd world colonists living in our nation, employers would have had a greater difficulty firing a productive worker on a mere allegation of racism. Today with the labor supply so thoroughly obliterated(among other ills) it is cheaper for businesses to acquiesce to such demands then to disregard them. And thus a compliance mechanism is born.
