|The tragedy of Detroit is that Black people were unable to sustain what white people created|
Beyond the horizon, these white citizens envisioned a magnificent city, with opulent buildings, grand theaters for entertainment and a thriving economy that would be the envy of the world. If you build it, they will come.
From the southern United States flowed "The Great Migration," as Black people saw that same horizon and realized they could never build an infrastructure for a city near the grandeur of Detroit. For that matter, no record exists of any city that Black people have ever built with an economic infrastructure or low crime rate that didn't receive massive subsidization or entitlements from a government or charitable organization.
Today, Detroit is 82 percent Black, a rotting shell of its former self.
You see, Black people inherit an existing infrastructure that white people abandon due to unsavory Climate Change. In an embarrassing op-ed for The New York Times, Thomas Sugrue wrote these words about white flight from Detroit:
Those who left the city cited various reasons: desire for a little green space, new housing, better schools, freedom from crime. Few of them acknowledged the racial motive behind white flight, that words like “freedom from crime” were code for moving away from blacks.It's not just Detroit that white people have abandoned, with it the hopes of dreams of their ancestors who toiled, saved, and hoped for a brighter tomorrow for their children then the one they had. "Freedom from crime" does mean freedom from the Black Undertow, who are responsible for the majority of the crime in the United States of America. "Better school" can only be found in school districts not relying on Superman to save the day.
If only white people would admit this reality, there would never be another Detroit; there would never be another Clayton County (Ga.); there would never be another Jefferson County, Alabama; there would never be another major city or county where "Structural Inequality" would be the excuse for Black people's inability to maintain what was left to them, which equates to white people 'willing' the real estate knowing full well that economic death and ruination will only follow this gesture.
On New Year 1912, white people in Detroit celebrated a future filled with endless possibilities; on New Year 2012, Black people in Detroit celebrated in an endless drunken stupor while a two members of medical emergency personnel in a broken-down ambulance sat frozen in horror while gunshots from revelers kept them behind the locked-doors of the immobile vehicle.
Now, The Washington Post reports the impending Civil Rights fiasco in a city where freedom failed once the Black Undertow assumed control:

As a Michigan panel considers whether a state-appointed emergency manager should take over Detroit’s debt-laden budget, some residents and leaders are arguing that the move would disenfranchise black voters.
“How come all of the jurisdictions put under emergency management are majority African American? Has anybody noticed that?” asked Rep. John Conyers (D), who has represented Detroit for 47 years. “There seems to be a racial aspect, a racial component of the application of this law.”
Under a newly strengthened law allowing the governor to appoint emergency managers over local governments, appointees are now running other financially bereft cities with large black populations — including Benton Harbor, Pontiac, Ecorse and Flint. If Detroit is added, a sizable proportion of the state’s black residents will be living under emergency managers.
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) said that he has no interest in running Detroit and wants the city to be responsible for itself.
“Our role is to be a supporting resource,” Snyder said in a video he released last month. “My goal is to avoid appointing an emergency manager, because that’s a failure point.”
But if the city meets certain conditions, appointment of an emergency manager is the next step under state law.
Snyder understands he is stepping into a political minefield if an emergency manager is appointed, said Bettie Buss, a senior research associate at the Citizens Research Council of Michigan, a public policy think tank. “There is no upside for the governor to appoint an emergency manager of Detroit, but the city is facing a crisis,” she said.
Mayor Dave Bing (D) said at a city council meeting Thursday that the city’s cost-saving measures are beginning to work, the Associated Press reported. He presented an update that highlights savings from 1,000 imminent layoffs, overdue payments from the Detroit Public Schools district and a corporate tax increase he says will mitigate a cash shortfall. He has also said his negotiations to rework the city’s union contracts are progressing.
Detroit owes bondholders, retirees, and other debtors more than $14.1 billion, according to a research council report.
The state law allows emergency managers to sell off city assets, restructure debt and break union contracts. But the managers also usurp the powers of local elected officials.
“It is the civil rights issue of our time. I didn’t vote for an emergency manager. I voted for a mayor. I did not give up my right to vote on the whims and fancies of a law that we believe is unconstitutional and immoral,” said the Rev. Wendell Anthony, pastor of Fellowship Chapel and a civil rights activist in Detroit. “We view it as another step in the direction of voter suppression and vote oppression.”Rep. Conyers, the answer to your question is simple: Black people lack the ability to overcome the horrors of "Structural Inequality" nor do they have the acumen to sustain an economy, education system, public works infrastructure, or attract outside investors (save the Salvation Army).
It's not just Detroit. It's any city that once was the envy of the world, well, a people whose goal was to colonize space. We could have been on Mars, but we had to erect a new Detroit in the suburbs; we had to erect a new Atlanta in the suburbs; we had to erect a new Cleveland in the suburbs; we had to erect a new Philadelphia in the suburbs; we had to erect a new Los Angeles in the suburbs; we had to erect a new Chicago in the suburbs that were ultimately abandon to the rising Black Undertow, all subsidized with entitlement money (TANF/welfare, EBT/Food Stamps, Section 8 Housing, and free lunches for their neglected children and free daycare at public schools) from predominately white tax-payers.
Rep. Conyers, you have been an elected for almost half a century. You have presided over the collapse of Detroit, elected to Congress to represent a district that resembles Mogadishu of 2012 more than it does the Detroit of 1912.
There was a time when majority Black Washington D.C. was considered the worst run government in America. Guess what? White people took the city from democratically elected Black representatives who were scaring away investors and white pioneers (gentrification) from the city. The Washington Post reported this in 1995:
Congress today approved legislation to create a financial control board for the District of Columbia, a measure that would effectively end home rule for the city for at least eight years. President Clinton is expected to sign the bill into law shortly.
Like similar boards established to guide New York, Philadelphia and other cities through earlier fiscal crises, the five-member financial control panel, whose members are to be appointed by Mr. Clinton, would have vast authority over municipal spending, financial planning, borrowing, hiring and contracts.
It would also have authority to overrule decisions of Mayor Marion S. Barry Jr. and the City Council, a power that would give unelected officials the largest influence over the District since limited home rule was granted by Congress more than 20 years ago.
Further, the legislation all but kills the campaign of statehood for the District, a leading goal of the city's Congressional delegate, Eleanor Holmes Norton.
The board, the only authority that would be allowed to borrow money from the Federal Treasury on the District's behalf, is viewed by its creators in the House and the Senate as a means of salvation for a city facing insolvency by next month, a deficit that could reach $722 million in this year's budget of $3.2 billion and a continuing decline in municipal services.
"For the city, it is the ultimate way to start revitalizing itself," said Representative Thomas M. Davis 3d, a Virginia Republican whose House subcommittee drafted the legislation. "It has to become financially stable, and this is the first step."
After weeks of resisting demands by Congress to reduce the size of city government and add to the cuts he had already made in spending, Mayor Barry said that as a result of the legislation, he felt "excited and positive" about the District's future.
"We are going to have the best-run city government with the best citizen services in the nation," he said in a statement issued by his office.
The Mayor made no reference to the new reduction in his role other than to say, "My administration will respond vigorously and enthusiastically to this next period of home rule."
For Mr. Barry, the legislation provides political cover, since he can now justify any painful spending cuts by declaring that the board insists on them.
The Senate passed the bill on Thursday, adding several amendments to a version earlier passed by the House, which approved the Senate's changes today.
The final nail in the coffin of Black-run Detroit is being put in place. Black-run Washington D.C., where financial mismanagement, corruption, high crime rates, horrible schools, and economic stagnation was ultimately saved by white people usurping freedom from elected [duplicitous] Black officials in the mid-90s.
The Wall Street Journal put together a list of the best-run and worst-run of 2011 and, well, it broke down along racial lines again. Majority Black cities, where high rates of crime are endemic, ensure that you are on the worst list. Remember, your elected officials come from this class too.
So, with the impending collapse of the city once dubbed "the arsenal of Democracy" we can safely surmise that freedom truly failed once Detroit's future was in the hands of Black people.
There's your answer Rep. Conyers. Then again, you should have known Black people were incapable of running a city when the wheels of your government leased Cadillac Escalde were stolen in front of your home:
First, the son of U.S. Rep. John Conyers (D-Detroit) was forbidden from using dad's taxpayer-leased Cadillac Escalade. Now, it looks like nobody else will be driving the fancy SUV real soon either, not after a thief stole the wheels off of the vehicle.
According to news reports, a Conyers staffer confirmed that the wheels had been stolen yesterday while the vehicle was parked in front of the congressman's home on the west side of Detroit.
Detroit must never be rebuilt. It must remain as a monument to the folly of egalitarian thinking, courtesy of Utopian-visioned Disingenuous White Liberals (DWLs) who refused to acknowledge that the fate of ALL major American cities is similar to that of The Motor City.
It must go back to nature, a cautionary, despondent reminder that race is not a social construct, but a biological fact. So that in 2112, school children can fly into the renamed International Airport in Detroit and trek into the abandon ruins of a city that 200 years earlier was on the cusp of greatness; that 100 years was on the brink of disaster.
And it will be here, where these children will no longer be taught to hate their race (as they are now), but to remember the disaster that was only averted when their ancestors stopped allowing their guilt to outweigh their anger.
Detroit's collapse is 100 percent racial, for the same reason that Pittsburgh's ascension is 100 percent racial.
Our guilt outweighs our anger; for the future, we must understand that it is all predicated upon our anger outweighing our guilt.
The collapse of Detroit is 100 percent racial, and the thunder is just getting ready to roll in.
