Portland: This could be the core city population of Atlanta |
Well, it's better to laugh then cry.
What does Hart write?:
Raised in Florida suburbs, J'ena SanCartier and Philip Losasso know Atlanta well — as the traffic jam they dreaded on their way to somewhere else.
Relocating from Florida last year, the artist and software developer never considered Atlanta. They flew 2,500 miles away to a new home in Portland. Now, instead of highways, they travel via streetcar. And that's how they like it.
No: "love it," in SanCartier's words.
Multiply their story by thousands and you get a pretty good picture of one way Portland differs from Atlanta: since 2000 it has excelled at attracting young, educated, so-called "creative class" workers. The dominant reason, according to one narrative prevalent among city planners, is that young folks gravitate to high-energy, walkable, eclectic neighborhoods where they don't need cars — and that projects like Portland's streetcar help create those neighborhoods.
Architects of the Atlanta Beltline, a $602 million chunk of the July 31 regional transportation referendum, hail it as just such a cityscape-altering project. They even hired the man who wrote the Portland streetcar's plan to write a plan for the Beltline.
"Portland, Oregon, is the model in the U.S.," Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said in 2010, upon winning a grant to build a streetcar line that he called the "spine" of the Beltline. "We have strong evidence that infrastructure creates jobs and stimulates economic investment."
The holy grail for many cities these days is the group some researchers call "young creatives." They're educated, relatively affluent and consume less in the way of government services than children or the elderly.
In the race to attract them, Portland is doing much better than Atlanta. Within the last decade, Atlanta saw a 10 percent increase to Portland's 24 percent, said Joe Cortright, a researcher who studies the demographic of 25-to-34 year-olds with college degrees.
Why? Neighborhoods such as the Pearl, where you don't have to have a car, are one reason, Cortright said. "Transit is sort of part of a package of things that talented young people are looking for in cities."
Atlanta is not Portland
Across metro Atlanta, many Beltline opponents don't much care what people in Portland like.
"We have chosen a land-use pattern," and it's not dense, said Baruch Feigenbaum, an analyst with the free-market Reason Foundation. "From my perspective we should be producing the transportation system that people want."What are the similarities between Portland and Atlanta, before we get started with this adventure: for one thing, both are plagued by crime that is primarily the byproduct of each respective city's Black population. Though, Portland is less than 8 percent Black, the crime rates are comparable to Atlanta's when it comes to Black domination of police blotter.
Even some transit advocates who support the Beltline shy away from the Portland analogy. "Let's face it," said Ashley Robbins, president of Citizens for Progressive Transit, "Atlanta's not Portland."
Eighty-one percent of metro Portlandians commute by car, and in the city itself 6 percent commute by bike, an astronomical number. In metro Atlanta, 88 percent commute by car and the next largest group is telecommuters.
But Atlanta does have pockets of dense, walkable space, including some neighborhoods that would be linked by the Beltline, such as Inman Park, Georgia Tech and Poncey-Highland. In parts of Atlanta, a quarter of commuting is done by transit, according to the Atlanta Regional Commission.
With a core urban population that is 78 percent white (and a metro population that 80 percent white), it is precisely this "embarrassing whiteness" that attracts the so-called 'creative class' of workers to Portland.
Atlanta's core urban population is only 36 percent white (and a metro population that is 55 percent white), which means that the "creative class" of workers must act as 'urban pioneers' when they move into the city -- a proposition that is becoming increasingly dangerous.
Perhaps that's why Portland can have public transportation that works, for the "creative class" has no desire to spend hours upon hours of their precious time commuting to and from work in a metal coffin, which is the price of living a safe existence in the metro Atlanta area -- courtesy of the Black Undertow.
Portland's Black Undertow population is still being courted to enjoy the fruits of white people's labor when it comes to creating sustainable cities that have safe streets for commuting to and from work on bikes:
The staff at Community Cycling Center, a 15 year old Portland-based nonprofit that aims to increase access to bicycling, has been doing some soul searching in the last few years.
In the process, community and programs director Alison Hill Graves says they started looking around the area they serve (a five-mile radius around their NE 17th and Alberta retail shop). "We saw a big divide in terms of who's riding bikes and who isn't."
Or, to put it more plainly, "The people riding and making decisions about bicycles is a white, middle class group."Alison Graves
The result: The CCC is undertaking an initiative it calls Understanding Barriers to Bicycling. The effort is funded by a grant from Metro that comes with a social justice stipulation.
Their first step in the process was to spend much of 2009 meeting with area leaders and organizations, particularly those that represent African Americans, African immigrants, Latinos/Hispanics, Native Americans, and Asian Americans. CCC staff told the groups about their work, and then asked questions about what might be preventing people from riding bicycles. If you were to replace the population of the core city of Portland (550,000 -- 78 percent of whom are white), with the population of the core city of Atlanta (432,000 -- 36 percent of whom are white), what would happen? What would the fate of each city be?
Where would you rather live? The new and improved Portland, which would see a reduction of its overall core city population by 22 percent, conceivably making congestion a thing of that "embarrassing white" past; or would you rather venture down south to that ghastly new Atlanta, with a population of... overwhelming white people.
78 percent to be exact.
Well, it should be obvious that the Atlanta Beltline project would instantly attract massive outside investors, who would be lining up to take advantage of an improvement to the city's infrastructure that no longer has the shadow of Blackness -- which plagues MARTA -- hanging ominously in the background.
In fact, Atlanta's metro system -- with the "creative class" and 'whiteness' imported from Portland -- would find new life that it has been desperate for since... its inception in 1973. Just look at this February 11, 2001 article from the Atlanta Journal Constitution by John McCosh (MARTA calls on marketers for image aid/Can soft drinks fill empty seats?), which laments the reputation MARTA had unceremoniously acquired:
MARTA's No. 1 image problem is a perception that the system is unsafe, but that could be fixed, in part, with a few well-placed Coca-Cola vending machines. So says a marketing proposal to renovate MARTA's image as the transit agency embarks on a $700,000 program this month to win more riders and expand its reach. People feel safe and comforted when they're near the familiar red-and-white Coke logo, says the Atlanta marketing firm Turner Fernandez Turner.
Acknowledging "this is going to sound crazy," the firm suggests that putting Coke vending machines on MARTA trains would conjure up "all sorts of positive images of childhood, security, stability and Americana."
Naturally, the proposal notes, giving MARTA riders a Coke and a smile would require the transit agency to consider ending its long ban on consuming beverages on its buses and rail cars.
Clayton and Gwinnett counties, which declined to join the MARTA system in past years, are starting their own bus services this year. That effectively walls off MARTA's expansion to the northeast and south, elements of the agency's long-range plan for three decades.
For the first time in decades, MARTA is in a no-growth mode, with no new rail stations funded or under construction.
MARTA's core jurisdictions -- Atlanta and DeKalb and Fulton counties -- recently declined to extend their commitment to collecting a 1 percent sales tax for support of the system, a decision that could be reconsidered later this year. If at least two of the three jurisdictions don't change their position, the system will fall out of line for future federal funding.
MARTA is concerned, and it will be addressing its image this year as part of a national campaign pushed by the American Public Transit Association to boost the public perception of mass transit. The association, which is holding a marketing workshop in Atlanta later this month, is hoping to fund a $5 million nationwide campaign over five years to win more riders.
"We did some polling and focus groups and did a list of priorities, and as an industry public transit's image just wasn't very good," said Amy Coggins, a spokeswoman for the association. Also, a survey a year ago found that, when asked to rank public transit as a concern, people placed it well below education and crime.
In many ways, MARTA's image problems are typical of systems throughout the country.
"People in the suburbs think MARTA is a black, transit-dependent system," said the agency's chairman, Bill Moseley. "Some people are saying they don't like the MARTA name."
For three decades the MARTA acronym has been the subject of a racially charged joke: "You know what MARTA really stands for, don't you? Moving Africans Rapidly Through Atlanta."
"I was told that the first week I moved here in the 1980s," Moseley said. "Maybe we can change the name to RTA and it can be the Redneck Transit Authority."
Twelve years ago, the agency considered a name change as it prepared to pitch an expansion to Gwinnett County voters, in part because it was common knowledge that the acronym was being altered into an ethnic joke. An Internet search of the phrase shows it turns up in national publications such as The New Republic and as far away as Turkey.
It's that kind of ingrained tarnish the marketers will be challenged to fix. And if they can't, MARTA officials say they're even open to the idea of changing the name.
But giving up on the MARTA name means giving up an identity many immediately associate with transportation.
"The biggest question is, 'Is there equity in the current name?' " said Mike Paul, a New York marketing consultant who is not among the bidders for the MARTA contract. "If there is equity, then you stay with the name."
The $700,000 contract to study MARTA's image will be just the beginning of the promotion effort.
"My friends in marketing tell me you can spend millions and millions on this kind of thing," Moseley said. Were the population of Portland to switch with Atlanta's core city population, the need for a marketing firm to find a new pitch to convince people to ride the system that once moved "Africans Rapidly Through Atlanta" would be... unnecessary. So would the problem addressed in a December 7, 2000 article the AJC published by Ernie Suggs (Complaint: MARTA hike based on bias), showcasing why MARTA was in so much trouble:
For many, a quarter doesn't mean that much. But for others, particularly the poor and disabled who depend on MARTA, an impending 25-cent fare increase could be a matter of livelihood. "This will have a negative, disproportionate and discriminatory effect on the system's transit-dependent riders -- with over 75 percent being African-American," said Temita S. Davis.
Davis is a member of the Metropolitan Atlanta Transportation Equity Coalition or MATEC, a 1-year-old grass-roots organization that looks at transportation issues in metro Atlanta. They held a news conference Wednesday to outline a complaint filed on Nov. 30, with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration against MARTA.
"MARTA hasn't responded to us verbally, or in writing," said Davis. "They have overlooked us."
MARTA spokeswoman Dee Baker said the transportation organization is aware of MATEC's complaint, but can't proceed or comment until they hear from the DOT or the FTA.
MARTA announced the increase earlier this year to make up a $6 million shortfall.
Starting Jan. 1, the fare will jump from $1.50 to $1.75; weekly fare cards from $12 to $13; and monthly fare cards from $45 to $52.50.
MATEC's complaint states that:
The fare increase is based on race, because it would impact the MARTA-dependent African-American community more, while the benefits of the increase would help white communities.
MARTA discriminates against races, by not providing enough security, Spanish language signs and bus shelters in minority communities.
MARTA discriminates against the disabled, by denying them equal access to public buses and poorly maintaining equipment designed to aid the disabled, like bus lifts, escalators and elevators. So choose your own adventure in the thought-experiment from above: what would happen to Atlanta if Portland's core city population replaced the current population, which clamors for the passing of the July 31st TSPLOST vote because it means finding new ways to tax the dwindling metro white population to create jobs that go primarily to Black people?
Where would you rather live?
Choose your own adventure.
Now, consider how quickly Atlanta would find solutions to its commuting problems were this scenario of population swapping with Portland to occur; now, consider the quick collapse of Portland as a destination for the "creative class" migration it enjoys now.
Welcome to Black-Run America (BRA), where Ariel Hart can't bother to mention the glaring elephant in the room when it comes to the difference between Portland and Atlanta.

Here in LA, I recently saw a black gal on a bike.
She was screaming at someone who she thought had dissed her [criticized her].
Like many whites, she was on the sidewalk, illegally.
OT. Completely bizarre: Not exactly new story about multi-billion $ Denver Airport.

Racial elements, plus Nazi symbology, Germano-centrism, the Pale Horse of the Apocalypse (?), overall design that looks like a Cheyenne summer encampment, and Free Masonry. Someone's idea of the future?
If you don't think in conspiracies you will now.

This is type of intellect that you are up against. This is your counterpoint.

No - it's not discrimination. White communities do not need security because they do not act like animals.
Escalators elevators shelters are not, not maitained. The animals in the minority community destroy and steal anything that isn't bolted down or made like prison furniture.
White people obviously aren't ready to wake up yet.
Paul, you need to post the "Soulja Girl" video to outline the dangers of riding the MARTA.
"I was told that the first week I moved here in the 1980s," Moseley said. "Maybe we can change the name to RTA and it can be the Redneck Transit Authority."
Any bets that the on-board crime rate of a "Redneck Transit Authority" would drop like a fricking rock?
[crickets]
This is why we can't have nice things: if we build it, they will come.
Then we will have to leave, and rebuild, and they will come again, and we can't say why, and we will be called racist all the way.
Excellent writing!
I did research for the RTA years ago. Only blacks and mexis aka poor as fuck ride the bus. The busiest line at that time was subsidized to the tune of 5 times per fare., or the fare paid 20% of the cost, and taxes 80% The worst lines the rider paid about 2% of the actual cost, or 75 cents vs the $35 the taxpayer paid. Riders were well below the poverty line.
No middle class white is going to ride the bus with poor blacks if they can possibly help it.
Even if they were caged in back it'd be too close and they'd attack you at a bus stop.
It would be simple to make MARTA safe enough to attract White riders: separate the races, and bar convicted criminals from riding at all. But that would be "discriminatory" against the thieves and muggers; they must have access to the source of their livelihoods, both aboard the system and at their destinations. (feh!)
Ray Scissom,
Please tell us how you've cut the cable/satellite cord.
I've reached my breaking point with the Communist agitprop that's being pumped into my house 24/7.

One of the first things that would happen in Portland after a population flip would be that CCC operation going out of business after a week or so because all of its bicycl es had been stolen, heh, heh, heh.
And then after several of their freinds had been mugged, the artists and software engineers would start moving to the suburbs.o
One of the first results in Portland of a population "flip" would be that bicycle sharing operation going out of business because all of its bicycles had been stolen. Then, after several their friends had been mugged, those artists and software engineers would start moving to the "untainted" 'burbs.

I read this blog regularly. It is amazing how these underclass thugs live. They can't even speak English. There are lots of photos, and many of these criminals look genetically inbred.
A trolley line has already been approved in Atlanta. It goes from lily white Buckhead, to Centennial Park, and then to...
The Martin Luther King Center!
Do upper class whites (that are the tax-paying treasury of this city) need public transportation to a park? No.
Does anyone visit the MLK center? No. But the King family, along with the BOBN (Black Ol' Boy Network established with the "Atlanta Way" post-Civil War era) got taxpayer money to pay for it because they are untouchables in this town... and they know it.
I've lived in Atlanta 35 years and only go by the MLK center. It's worthless, unkept, and does *not* attract tourism like they hoped.
So the push for funds is under the guise of "increasing tourism." No, it'll just be a way for poor blacks to ride for free to Centennial Park and panhandle.
They decimated Buckhead already, due to unruly blacks taking over the nightclubs, committing crimes, and shutting down the biggest club scene in this city. Same thing happened with Underground Atlanta (twice: 70's and then in 2000's) and every other club that decided "hip hop is a good choice." Blacks move in, white girls leave, club shuts down.
I'd give more info, but I just don't have the time. This "Untie Atlanta" BS is, as Paul stated, just another black power grab. And it'll pass. And it'll fail (for whites).
Maybe with any money leftover, they can finally educate the non-degree-but-diversity-appealing teachers in the APS scandal.
Nah, that'd mean that poor, stupid black kids in this town would finally get an education. That's not going to happen.
Once blacks get power, they don't like to share it.
That is all,
Majority in a Minority Majority Town for my entire life.

Here's my educated guess about what might be preventing people from riding bicycles: Getting them stolen and getting run over by drunks.
Increasing bicycle riding in a urban environment is just nuts. It's dangerous enough to ride in most cities just because of the number of people who can't drive worth a damn, without any malicious intent. If whites started riding bicycles in heavily black infested areas, the groids would invent a motorized version of "Knockout King." At least where I live, crimes involving vehicles are taken less seriously by the authorities. With some groid screeching out "It be a ACCIDENT!" while supressing a laugh, they probably wouldn't even file charges on it.
You're welcome, Community Cycling Center. That'll be $500,000 for the consulting fee. Wire transfer only; no checks, please.
Anything Atlanta does to bring people into closer contact Diversity will be deadly for White Humanity.

I have jury duty this week.
The courthouse stop is on the same bus line that runs 1/2 block from my house. How easy it would be to grab my coffee and jump on the bus.
The IndyGo bus system encourages me to use their services, and I could pay for a week's bus pass and save lots of money and hassle with parking, but I am unwilling to ride the bus with the blacks and endure their energy, their threats of violence, their uncivilized young, their foul language, and their jealous, hateful stares.
I would love to ride transit downtown for dinner and a movie, or teach my kids to ride without me to gain their independence or get to work, but I will won't endanger my precious family.

Here is one example from NYC today that demonstrates very clearly what the concept of BRA (in this case the totally unaccountable NYC Board of Education) means 'on the ground':
http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/education/meth-bust-principal-qns-hs-article-1.1117444
Start your career as a math substitute teacher, find your way onto the 'principal track', making over $130K by the time you are 33.
What's wrong with a little recreational meth?
As his 55 yr old father said: 'he got in with the wrong crowd'.
These are the type of people in charge of HS education in NYC.
This is the type of leadership they exercise.

Making Anglos Relish Their Ancestry
I When I read your post I formed an image of the well armed urban bicyclist. Small Viking type shield strapped to bike. Sword in scabbard on shoulder and small (8 ft) jousting lance.
Writer Jim Goad is among the few members of the creative class who actually left Portland (with a short stopover in PA) and moved to the Atlanta area and has also traveled MARTA extensively. Talk radio hose Jack Blood also recently moved to Atlanta from Austin, but these are both exceptions to the rule.
SWPL types don't just "happen" to enjoy cities with low NAM populations, the cities they choose to inhabit are precisely so amenable to their lifestyles precisely BECAUSE of the low NAM population.
So MARTA rates are $1.75/day or $52.50/month? In a 5 day work week why would anyone waste an additional $17 on a monthly pass?
Then again, why would any sane person get on a train full of blacks?
I just want to thank PK. You can tell by his daily articles that he does a lot of hard work. His articles are original, through, entertaining and informative.
I usually skip over long articles but I always read every word of PK every day.
Just like today's comparison between Atlanta and Portland, PK gives us relevant information that we can relate to.
So thanks PK, I for one appreciate the effort you put in and I can't wait, cannot wait for the billboards and have been curiously awaiting them since you first spoke of them.
Anon (7/22 11:21 PM): The animals in the minority community destroy and steal anything that isn't bolted down or made like prison furniture.
Several years back there was an excellent show called "Design Classics" which traced the origins of iconic products.
One program was devoted to the venerable British telephone booth (think Dr. Who). The engineer being interviewed about its modern replacement noted how all things that could be snapped off, dislodged or defaced were eliminated to the greatest extent possible. His word for this was, "pre-vandalized".
That is the world which Blacks and minorities have brought us; one where everything nice must be pre-vandalized in order to reduce the cost of maintenance or replacement.
Forgot where I read it, but it's commonly understood among big city planners trying to revitalize a city that the cities who can lure whites, win. Those that can't wind up like Detroit. It's understood, but rarely mentioned. Like everything else in Black Run America.
Atlanta wants to be like PDX? LMAO. Never happen, you would have to send packing, the majority of the black population before that happens.
Even though PDX is a progressive liberal city, its so called success, is that it is still almost completely white.
Ivan Shatov: Please tell us how you've cut the cable/satellite cord.
I've reached my breaking point with the Communist agitprop that's being pumped into my house 24/7.
Any link or other suggestions greatly appreciated.
I'm not Ray, nor do I play him on TV, but here's a few crucial starting points:
1.) Hulu.com
Streamed video on demand with fewer (although more repetitive) commercials. There's still lots of Liberal content but their Criterion collection is superb and you "control the vertical".
Also, if you are not put off by subtitles, there are tons of foreign films that will never make it to the idiot box, ever.
Some of the Korean drama productions (Iris, Athena, etc.), and movies (Paradise, Triangle), are top notch. I'm gurrently watching "Lights and Shadows", a superb recap of modern entertainment's arrival in South Korea.
2.) Hard disc video recorder (e.g., Tivo).
Use this device to skip commercials and selectively record from network television for later viewing at your convenience.
3.) Netflix
Inexpensive rental service that eliminates driving to a storefront operation. They have also introduced online streaming to regain market share from Hulu.
Between these three options, you can take back some serious control over what, when, how and the quality of any video you watch. With the VHDR you can "skip" commercials with relative ease.
MARTA: Mauled Atlantans Retreat To Alpharetta!
Redneck Transit Authority? Yes please, seperate but equal.
Anybody read White Power by george lincoln rockwell? It has to be the best on these issues.
How to cut the TV cord (I haven't had cable in years. It will change your life).
1. Get a decent Internet connection, don't be cheap. Try to get 3Mbps up/down, at least. Don't touch satellite.
2. Get a Roku and a PS3 or XBOX. All three are under $200. The Roku will have many channels you can easily subscribe to. Better than ones on cable TV.
3. On the Roku/PS3/XBOX you can watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu (which is crap really since it's TV) and much, much more.
4. Protect your Internet and your mind: protectmyweb.com.
The only reason you need cable tv is for sports, and that's changing. On my PS3 I can subscribe to NHL and Baseball.
I have a roku and it's great. There are many free channels additionally you can access foreign news channels that aren't as PC. If you have high-speed internet there really isn't an excuse not to have a roku or other internet tv streaming device. If we race realist/racialists could get our act together we could start our own streaming tv channel.
The Community Cycling Center needed a grant to research why more blacks don't ride bikes?
Its called vastly improved bike lock technology, duh.
Blacks are not going to purchase anything that by its very design requires them to EXPEND energy.
Can I have a grant?
If we race realist/racialists could get our act together we could start our own streaming tv channel.
It would be great to have a race realist channel that reported black crimes only. We wouldn't even have to say that it's explicitly black crime, just reporting rapes and violent crimes that the MSM won't report would make the point. Especially rapes, as almost all interracial rapes are black-on-white or other than black.
You know what would attract productive, intelligent people to Kinshasa? Streetcars.
HaroldC: I got Roku 3 or 4 months ago, and noticed all of the free channels, but the only thing I ever use it for is Netflix.
Are any of the free channels really worth messing with? I looked for a free German language channel, and it doesn't appear to exist.
Zenster, Harold and anonymous thank you. Does Roku provide better options than a blu ray?
I've got DVR. Hulu I've never liked. We just love Netflix. I'd love to figure out how to order channels ala carte.

even now, in the Portland metro area, the mass transit system acts not to move the working masses. they either take the bike or car.
by and large, our mass transit system acts as a funnel for the professional criminal classes that now ring the city after having largely been driven out of portland proper by the explosive cost of housing, having increased dramatically in the 90s and early 2000s. our urban growth boundary has kept prices artificially inflated and the suburbs and exurbs have become increasingly thronged with minorities chased out of portland by high housing prices.
so in some sense, the situations are reversed in atlanta, which sounds largely black in the urban core and white in the suburbs.
If you in the atlanta area want to maintain your way of life for as long as you can, you cut the cords that allow the city to mingle with the suburbs, you make transit from one to the other as difficult as possible. you keep prices in the suburbs artificially high by limiting growth, limiting the number of large unit housing (condos/apartment complexes) and you keep your police force as large as you can afford without going bankrupt.
warmest regards from Oregon.
I use Roku about half the time for Netflix. If you haven't noticed 'Birth Of A Nation' has been released on Netflix. But I also use it for Twit (a technology channel); ETWN; and streaming music. There is also an RT channel and other foreign channels. The largest category of channels are religious channels. There doesn't appear to be a reliable YouTube channel. I'm guessing that Google doesn't want to help a competitor to its Google TV device. But there is a Vimeo channel. If you have children there is a Khan's Academy channel and an MIT University channel. The top of the line Roku boxes also play games.
Here is a database of available channels. Not sure how current it is however.
http://www.roku-channels.com/
I'm not familiar with the options available on blue-ray devices so i can't compare it to a Roku.
Sorry
Beavis and Butthead said it best in 1993" 600 channels of TV, would it be great if just one didn't suck??" I don't feel compelled to import their shit and really don't think I am missing anything.
I'm not Ray either, but we do not have a land line, cable or sattelite dish, because Beavis and Butthead said it best in 1993" 600 channels of TV, wouldn't it be great if just one didn't suck". I can't justify importing the crap they are serving, and really can't get excited about the money they want for same said crap.

"When I read your post I formed an image of the well armed urban bicyclist."
Actually, in the late 19th century, the French created a revolver just for the defense of cyclists against dogs called the "Vel-dog."
"The revolver uses the 5.75mm Velo-dog cartridge, a centrefire 5.5 mm (nominally 5.75) cartridge slightly less powerful than the 22 Long Rifle, using a jacketed bullet."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velo-dog
But against urban two-leggeds, I think the minimum should be a 9mm.
Too bad no one makes a cheap 9mm Para revolver that is hammerless. That should be something Charter Arms ought to take a look at.
""Maybe we can change the name to RTA and it can be the Redneck Transit Authority.""
Actually, it would still be "Rapid Transit for Africans", you dolt!
If you look up at the sky, and say it is a yellow color, does not change the fact that it is blue!
I haven't used my Dish network in a couple of years--it's here for purely emergency reasons, like I haven't gotten around to installing a modern HD antenna yet.
So, what have I been using for going on five years now? Well, I took an old Mac tower and put a nice vid card in it an hooked that up to an HD projector. When the old tower died, I plugged a used Mac Mini into the projector and ran a line to the second floor. A year ago I bought a new Mac Mini and hooked that up downstairs and put a Apple TV on the second floor.
The projector and the Mac Mini do 1080P--last winter I added a flat screen to that mix. The Mini does iTunes and everything else on the planet including Plex, Netflix, etc. iTunes allows for the streaming of just about anything including 1000's of radio stations and hundreds of alternative video media.
The Apple TV does not have the 250 channels that Roku has, but Roku cannot interface with your PC or Mac the way Apple TV can. The Apple TV can and does do Google TV and regular YouTube and it also does sports networks so you can watch "white sports" as well. The Mac Mini even spots a "widgit" that brings up a catalog of B&W movie classics and cartoons which are now license free.
Why Apple? Because Apple runs on Unix--Berkeley BSD, to be precise. It is a much safer operating system than Windows--which your neighbor's kid can hack into if you are on a cable modem. At $500.00 for a mac mini, you can do anything. At 99.00 for the Apple TV, you have the ability to stream from your PC or Mac to the Apple TV as well as what the Apple TV brings on it's own.
I have family in Oregon--it is a very WHITE place. But most of the people here on this or Auster's site would not be able live on the coastal area of the state--not w/o wanting to punch all of the DWLs in the head there. The Eastern half of the state, however, I find to be just fine. Most of you would too.
Any civilization that can decadently allow these dolts to live their lives without ever learning that Santa Claus is fake is shameful and sick.
How about segregating mass transit usage hours by tax payer status? If you pay taxes, then outside of business hours, the transit is yours to use. But if you are a worthless leech, then your dumbass can ride it while your benefactors are at work, otherwise you stay home.
African immigrants,
Obama is doing all he can for them.
He has diversity visas to bring in more blacks and muslims.
Portland native here. Let them lie with their dogs and get fleas. Portlanders are so smug, so disgustingly liberal and "tolerant." They can rot. For some of you that call for a white homeland in the PNW, there are millions and millions of Portlanders and people like them that will need to be thrown out first. Not to mention the hordes of meth heads and mexicans.
Off topic but interesting: More black mob violence against whites.

If you want Blue Ray get a PS3, as it comes with a Blue Ray player.
However the only reason you would use BR is for games or movies. I have a PS3 with a BR player. I rarely watch BR movies. Instead I stream HD movies using Vudu, or Amazon Prime, or Netflix.
In summary, don't get hung up on BR. Streaming has/is replacing it.
If you're thinking of moving and wish to avoid the groid, the following website is invaluable. www.censusscope.org/us/map_nhblack.html
On the left side of the page is a link that reveals the degree of segregation in each area. There are also many other links that are extremely interesting.
Why do some of you guys go to so much trouble to watch that addicting television?
You can't be a grown up White man and put away. your toys and diversions?
If you want to escape before its too late, northwestfront.org
So.... liberals are retarded. Nothing new.
Haven't posted in ages, but this story is something I still see. These safe white strongholds have NO FREAKING clue what is happening outside their small safe worlds.
how do we start a campaign to get Portland to have more Section 8 housing? I mean, they can bus in some blacks from Compton, or Philidelphia. The major obstacle we have is the number of guilty white liberals living safely among whites saying how horrible whites who actually live next to blacks are.
We need to destroy these safe white areas full of lefties, and the best way to do that is encourage blacks moving in. It wouldn't matter if the blacks are 'middle class' because they still can't raise kids who are right in the head, and eventually their sister or cousin or someone asks that their kid stay in their safe white neighborhood with nice schools, and next thing you knowyou have the liberals with no survival instincts getting killed, robbed, and raped... maybe in that order.
It's getting to the point where I almost hope Obama wins, let him and his cronies blow the country apart so we can start rebuilding that much faster.
ATL and GA are going down the tubes fast. The state will look(and vote) like CA in a few years. Looks like Gingrich style conservatism has failed.
I just read about the beating of a gay man in DC. The victim was a yoga instructor and decided a two block walk in a "rough" neighborhood was safe. Of course the three attackers were black and of course this was not mentioned by the "award-winning journalist" writing in the major newspaper concerning the attack. Tabloid journalists provided the details. I wonder if the "creative class" urban planners seem to bleat about as so necessary are going to show up for work if they are killed on the way in to the office, gallery, salon, etc.
Recently Elton John praised conservatives for their support for AIDS research. He didn't say the "African-American" political class was unreliable in the matter but it was implied. White nationalists who might otherwise steer clear of support for gay causes might reflect on the deadbeat reactionary quality of nearly all black political figures - even at the highest level such as Jesse Jackson - when calculating who to include as allies.
I thought the R in Marta stood for Rapists

There never used to be blacks at the beach here in Orange County Ca. Now I see then all the time there ruining the beaches, being disruptive. They were never there before, now all the time, for what... A tan? Good clean fun ruined so that they can leer at the white girls in bikinis.

Never in my life have I ever witnessed such disgusting, insulting racist dialogue in all my life. You should all be ashamed. I'm a 25 year old African American woman that has lived here my whole life...now I'm considering moving to a place where I can be around those who don't speak of such nigger-like tendencies. Yea I said it nigger....cause all of you are ignorant as Hell.
