What is CNN trying to accomplish by airing "Race and Rage" now?

Black History Month 2011 is over. Black Fictional Hero Month is not. We have five more entries to this series to post still, but first we must ask a question.

CNN opening old wounds with Race and Rage Documentary
CNN is airing a documentary on the Rodney King beating on March 4th entitled Race and Rage. We at Stuff Black People Don't Like ask why now?

Think about this: CNN has aired multiple Black in America programs, Katrina Five Years LaterAlmighty Debt: a Black in America Special, and will now air a documentary on a habitual criminal who failed to cooperate with the police and was properly beaten for his transgression.

All of these documentaries lay the blame for Black failure, poor credit scores, and high rates of Black incarceration in every direction but the primary one: Black people.

CNN absolves Black people from any failure and instead blames white people for the miserable plight of Blacks nationwide. What can one expect to learn from 'Race and Rage'?:

Race and Rage’ – CNN’s Don Lemon Talks with Rodney King 20 Years LaterDocumentary debuts Friday, March 4, 8:00pm ET & PT
In the early morning hours of March 3, 1991, construction worker Rodney King and two companions were pulled over after a high-speed chase in Los Angeles.  King’s friends were arrested without incident, but the violent confrontation between King and the officers on the scene made national headlines, and ignited racial tensions in the city – and the nation.
CNN anchor Don Lemon retraces the events of that morning, and the riots that divided Los Angeles and the nation in Race and Rage – The Beating of Rodney King, debuts Friday, March 4 at 8:00p.m. ET and PT on CNN/U.S.   It replays on Saturday, March 5 at 8:00p.m. ET and PT.
King was tasered, kicked, and beaten by officers on the scene.  He received more than 50 baton blows that crushed bones, shattered teeth, injured his kidneys, and fractured his skull.
Lemon asked him what thoughts he had during the beating, “Stay alive – I knew I had to survive this,”  King tells him in an exclusive interview.
The altercation awakened George Holliday who grabbed his home video camera and filmed the incident.  The video became a national sensation and the cornerstone of an excessive force trial against the Los Angeles Police Department.
King became a visual symbol of police brutality, but the officers were acquitted in the original trial.  News of the acquittal ignited anger that erupted into riots in Los Angeles that lasted for days.  Over 50 people were killed, businesses were looted and burned, and even cities as far away as Atlanta reported violence inspired by the news of the verdict.
Lemon and King revisit the scene of the beating together, retracing the events that altered his life, and the riots that followed.  Lemon also speaks with Bobby Green, who famously rescued white truck driver Reginald Denny, who was assailed by a mob at a city intersection during the riots.
A digital feature deconstructs the timeline of the events of March 3, 1991, and includes a special report on King’s life today.  The Holliday video became a powerful example of “citizen journalism” and is examined in the context of other watershed historical moments witnessed and captured by citizens across the country and around the world.  These and video excerpts from the documentary will be reported on www.cnn.com.

In city after city across a land ruled by the governing philosophy of Black Run America (BRA), anytime a Black person is arrested by police the primary reasoning is because that arresting officer was a racist. Anytime a Black person is shot by a police officer, the only motive is racism (self-defense is never viable reasoning) and a lawsuit is inevitably pending.

I have gone on record and stated that within six months a massive Black riot in a major American city will occur (and no, this time Black people won't intimidate that city's newspaper to not report what transpires) and will be largely coordinated using social networking. It seems someone agrees with me:

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan predicted on Sunday that America faces imminent uprisings that mirror those in the Middle East.
“What you are looking at in Tunisia, in Egypt … Libya, in Bahrain … what you see happening there … you’d better prepare because it will be coming to your door,” Farrakhan said in a booming voice, thousands of followers cheering in his wake.
Farrakhan also called on President Barack Obama to allow protesters to march, urging the president not to attack innocent people when they do.

It could be a lot sooner, with CNN airing a documentary that will undoubtedly create anger and sow discord among a community that rarely convicts Black criminals when they appear on jury's (which is why don't, because Black people believe the justice system is racist and side with Black criminals on a regular basis).

Remember the reactions to OJ Simpson's verdict.

Race and Rage. What an apt name for a documentary that will only augment rage that the Black race feels toward a nation that bends over backwards to placate their every need. And people talk about "white privilege" with a straight face.

It's time we start talking about "Black Privilege" -- an idea that fuels the notion of Black Run America.

Black people are never at fault for their actions with the motivation for their ruinous decisions easily and properly blamed on racism (remember Omar Thornton). That is the ultimate "Black Privilege" in BRA: to never be at fault and always have the excuse of lingering racism to explain their actions.

We'll ask this question again: Why is CNN airing Race and Rage now? What do they hope to gain? What are they trying to start?

We at Stuff Black People Don't Like call on CNN not to air Race and Rage on March 4. Are the producers intentionally trying to incite a riot?

That conspiracy theory is about as good as the one suggesting Michael Jackson was killed by a microwave gun and the shooter was in Russia at the time. It's one thing to believe a massive black riot is imminent, but to use Louis-flipping-Farrakhan as a source on 'why you are right'...?

Well, this white boy done lost his mine, y'all! Come on, man... If anything Farrakhan spouts could be verified, we'd all be living in a real 'Black Run America', not one existing only in the confines of your website.

Listen, dog. This faulty logic you seem to have a knack for employing is the reason why I would never spend $23 on your book, especially when I'm getting the milk for free. The milk's a little rancid, a little curdled, probably teeming with E. coli O157:H7 but it's free, and I like free stuff. Because I'm black...right?

What I sense here is fear.

For someone with the cojones to declare that not only will there be a massive black riot--organized by myspace, OMFG!--in the near, near future, but to also so dismissively write off Rodney King as someone who deserved it (you know who deserved it? The Duke Lacrosse Team), I find it deliciously ironic you speak of 'opening old wounds'. But if Rodney deserved that ass beating, what old wound is there? Isn't it all in the collective 'negro' mind?

Ah, yes... you know full well that '12 (or 100) on one' assault was textbook police brutality. And by textbook, I mean: 'Piglets, turn to page 95 and look at the 101 ways you can formally introduce baton to nigger! #23 Baton w/ ribcage while he's handcuffed in the back of yer cruiser; say that nigger was high. #66 Baton w/ teeth; that nigger was HIGH when he told me his name! #101 Baton w/ cranium then death; that nigger was HIGH on PCP and I had to crack 'eem good 'cause he COULD'VE came after me if, well, you know... hell, you know they're real strong! HE. WAS. HIGH!! Dammit, leave me alone!'

You know it, don't you?

It's fessin' up time, SBPDL. Simi Valley was a ticket to freedom for those cops, even with a tape.

By the way, OJ Simpson was guilty. Most blacks know this, well, except the ones screeching their heads off at the verdict.

will now air a documentary on a habitual criminal who failed to cooperate with the police and was properly beaten for his transgression.

John Grisham's 'A Time To Kill' touched on something pretty sad about white people. In the film adaptation, Matthew Maconahay (sp?) described the brutal rape of a young black girl by white hicks and since good ol' Sam Jackson had shot the blokes, Maconahay had to convince the jury to get him off. So he describes this rape and says, 'Now, imagine if she were white.'

The all white jury stirs in discomfort. 'Not little Megan! Oh, Myeisha...who cares about that hoodrat!' Sure most of his pieces are heavy-handed in the do-gooder liberal department but that was an eye-opener.

If Rodney was Roger King III after a dinner party, maybe a little drunk, a little slurred in terms of rational behavior, and beaten by a bunch of black officers, I am sure you'd label it jealousy or 'getting back the Man', or something.

It seems as if a black woman doesn't say 'excuse me' before pushing pass a white women, the latter believes the former is jealous of her hair!

Rodney was unjustly beaten. Get over it. A criminal doesn't deserve to experience that kind of abuse.

Maybe CNN misses Larry King or maybe they went down in the old ratings game. I agree though, this seems like a weird time to trot out Rodney King in a show titled Race And Rage. Why not go back a bit further and bring out Tawana Brawley so she could recount her false rape allegations. Nah.....that has a decidedly different outcome and it doesn't favor the black race.

Yes.

Why you ask? Because CNN is the headquarters for anti-white race baiting. It's the white guilt channel with as much credibility as Morris Dees and Al Sharpton.

If it is on CNN then very few people will actually see it.

"That conspiracy theory is about as good as the one"

It's not a "conspiracy theory". It's a prediction, and it's based on observations of black behavioral patterns.

In case you've never observed the black habit of rioting, go to YouTube and type in "black riots".

Enjoy.

Hirsch said...

Believe it or not, the term "race riots," used to mean principally white people attacking blacks, as after the debut of D.W. Griffith's "Birth of a Nation." Now of course it means something entirely different.

CNN can afford to air this because Ted Turner and his capo regimes live in gated, well-fortified communitites. Just like the Kennedies love to preach multiculturalism provided it is from the perch of Hyanisport or Martha's Vineyard.

As for Rodney King, he was driving under the influence of twice the legal amount of alcohol, doing in excess of one-hundred miles an hour on the highway, and more than 80 mph in residential zones. Anyone attempting to cross the street would have been killed. He had also earlier attempted to hit an officer with his car, and was on parole (and violating the same) for felony robbery.

If racism is to blame for this incident, you may ask, why didn't his passengers also incur similar wrath from the arresting officers? I'll give you a hint: because they weren't drunken felons who tried to run the police over with their car who then decided to resist arrest. This kind of messes up the chance for smooth apprehension, regardless of the race of the arrestee.

After the martyr Rodney King won his massive settlement, he would go on to do wonderous things for the black community, like trying to run his wife over with his car, and landing back in prison.

Oh, well. Facts be damned. As Nicole Brown Simpson might say: "Once you go black, your head gets detached."

It was fiction.

The first sign that it was fiction was the rape of a black female by a white male, something that virtually never happens.

They were declared INNOCENT (as opposed to "not guilty") by the NC Attorney General.

Obviously they didn't "deserve" anything.

Rodney King, on the other hand, drove at 80 mph through residential areas, endangering countless lives, and resisting arrest (in addition to the lengthy rap sheet he'd already amassed).

To illustrate what I talk about. Louis Armstrong visited Sweden in 1933. In all the news papers he was describe as something monkey-like let loose from the jungle. All across the line! And in the reviews by the most serious music critics.

Who would have imagined in 1933, that twelve years later Western Europe would undergo an America-led cultural revolution which would lead to the common belief that there are no differences between races?"

"Translation of two of the quotes:"

Knut Bäck in Göteborgs-Posten, November 1933:
"This world is strange... No protests are raised against how the jungle is let loose into the society. Armstrong and his band are allowed to freely wreak destruction."

Sten Broman in Sydsvenskan, November 1933:
"Dare I say that he at times had something monkey-like about him and sometimes reminded of, according to our perceptions, a mentally disturbed person, when he pouted with his mouth or gaped it to its widest open and roared like a hoarse animal from a primeval forest."

The third quote compares the concert with a natural disaster, and Armstrong's trumpet with a hell machine. The only good thing coming out of it, he says, is that it solves to old dispute of whether monkeys have a language.

This is what Europe looked like, up until 1945. And since some people will live under the misconception that this was a phenomenon of the '30s, I here provide a quote from the Swedish Encyclopedia, Nordisk Familjebok, the 1876-1899 edition (here and here).

"Psychologically the negro can be said be on the level of a child, with vivid fantasy, lack of endurance, ... can be said to lack morality rather than being immoral ... etc."

It's fortunate this monstrosity will air on CNN - they are consistently ranked at the bottom of the ratings lists because of stories like this, that appeal primarily to the black and brown masses.

CNN has long came to the conclusion that white America is in its death-throes.

The network suckles, unapologetically, from the massive black and brown mammary. Their websites and broadcasts overflow with lesson after lesson in rhetorical masturbation, a literal orgy of all that is liberal and anti-white.

They abandoned white people, and, in-return, white people abandoned them - including myself.

I'd imagine a black-Jewish-female-gay-military-officer-transgendered-illegal-immigrant, whom was being discriminated against, would make Blitzer's head explode.

So why is CNN kicking the hornets nest?

To stir-up anti-white sentiment and assist BRA in maintaining its weakening grip on white America.

I can see no other end.

LOL, Hirsch! Here's the part of your Q&A session that you don't seem to 'get', so I'll fill in your cognitive lapses as a sort of charity (I'll bold it and italicize it for easy readin', fella): one person does not need to be beaten by 10 officers (or 100, someone got the number, over here?).

It is a violation of all reason, of all rationality, of everything it means to be human and extend humanity to another person.

Got it, Spark-plug?

Most cops are trigger happy low IQers with nothing more than high school diplomas. We are NOT talking about Clarice Starlings, here, no careful, methodical, intelligent people need apply.

We are talking about rage-addicted racists with axes to grind. No, no; I am not forgiving their PTSD bullshit, their trainin' that says the darker the person, the more dangerous. Bullshit! Everyone knows pigs are racist; where were you during that revelation? Don't even bother with a defense along those lines. It's boring as hell and only blind ideologues could convince themselves it isn't completely moot.

The bottom line is this, buddy: I can get two officers, maybe three if he was REALLY DAMNED HIGH, but the number of officers in that video? No. No effing way, man; that ain't kosher. That ain't in the (real) manual, dude. You know it and I know it.

After the martyr Rodney King won his massive settlement, he would go on to do wonderous things for the black community, like trying to run his wife over with his car, and landing back in prison.

What's your point? It doesn't matter if he went on to murder white women, he still didn't deserve to be beaten like a goddamn slave.

I think you should read up on a little idea called 'precedent'.

Ah, hell, man; logic be damned, right? Hey, SBPDL, make this dude your intellectual apprentice; that should be fun.

With your logic, Hirsch, a murderer coming out of jail after a 15 year sentence, even if he's born-again into Jesus and lives in the deepest regret, deserves a good beat down just if he happens to toss a cigarette butt on the sidewalk.

I'm guessing you don't believe in forgiveness. Before you go about officiating that 'mess' I call your 'reasoning', make sure your past is spotless. A speeding ticket could get ugly.

Check out ex-post facto laws; there's a reason they're unconstitutional.

It finally makes sense now; Eureka. White people lack any sort of foresight. Just a myopic lot. You say 'Screen anyone who looks like a terrorist.' The TSA says ok. But when it affects you, you cry like a bunch of privileged, snot-nosed pageant girls and you scream 'Abort! Abort! No dice! We don't wanna play anymore!'

Not true. Racial profiling would not affect whites if it was done properly. White people have done nothing to require profiling.

We need good old fashioned racial profiling in America. In airports, on the streets. Blacks should be profiled by police and citizens because they commit the most crime. Muslims (visibly) in their special garb should be profiled, they are most likely to be terrorists in America. Mexicans should be racially profiled because they are most likely to be illegal aliens.

I support racial profiling. But we should profile people of color.

With your illogical method of jumping from A to C without saying so much as hello to "b" it's a wonder I'm even responding. Here goes. Rodney King did not deserve to be beaten because he was an ex-felon. But, due to a his criminal past alone, he deserved to be considered as potentially more volatile than say, a Latarion Milton-like child who'd stolen Mommy's car.

Rodney's previous felony was only one of several pieces of the puzzle the thin blue line had to consider. That, coupled with his attempted vehicular manslaughter, and his drunkeness, and his resisting arrest, probably contributed much more to the beating than his blackness. As Chris Rock said, "If you make the police chase you, they're bringing an ass whipping."

http://www.amren.com/ar/2005/10/index.html#cover

"Our rulers and media executives will try to turn the story of Hurricane Katrina into yet another morality tale of downtrodden blacks and heartless whites, but pandering of this kind fools fewer and fewer people. Many whites will realize — some for the first time — that we have Africa in our midst, that utterly alien Africa of road-side corpses, cruelty, and anarchy that they thought could never wash up on these shores.

To be sure, the story of Hurricane Katrina does have a moral for anyone not deliberately blind. The races are different. Blacks and whites are different. When blacks are left entirely to their own devices, Western Civilization — any kind of civilization — disappears. And in a crisis, it disappears overnight." -Jared Taylor

If you really want to get technical he could have been shot when he attempted to kill an officer by running him over. That shows big restraint by the original officer.

When you resist arrest they have the power to restrain you with any means necessary, up to and including death. Again, another point that they used restraint.

Rodney King, regardless of what he did beforehand or what he did after his financial windfall does not justify multiple officers beating him when he was clearly (I mean, come on) down. Simple as that. He was DOWN. I hate seeing that video; I don't think anyone should be beaten up. It's wrong.

please google "dumbest person in the universe" and then select "images." You will notice among the thumbnails a small woodcut resembling the person you see in the mirror each morning.

Whatever.

And I like the way, Desiree Hill, you tried to smear SPDLs book on Amazon. LOL, you made yourself look like a moron.

Well, all I left was a comment on the book. My review drifted into cyberspace. It was a good one, too, titled 'Racism and tin-foil hat paranoia'. I'll have to write another review, one-star of course.

Sorry, SBPDL. That's just how it works. You had to know it was coming. Thanks for the heads up on this documentary, though. I guess your site is useful for something.

@anonymous/Desiree/Seito

I could fisk the entire post, like a prospector sifting for gold in a city dump, but let me just take this statement:

"I'm as male as you are; emoticons are an art."

Assuming you are not Desiree, and you are a male as you stated, it would be impossible for me to top you in the flaming homosexuality department. I could be listening to "Bitter Fingers" from Elton John's "Brown Dirt Cowboy" while sharing a bowl of praelines with Liza Minelli and Andrew Lloyd Webber, and I would still be struggling to come up with a statement half as gay as "Emoticons are an art." Ok? Or, as you might text to one of your friends "K."

Enough of this.

"It's funny how every black anonymous on this site is accused of being me."

They are anonymous.

That means their skin color is unknown.

They are suspected of being you because they write the exact same tiresome crap that you write.

"Yeah, I pretended to be 'Seito' but I don't do that often. A note: I will always comment under Desiree, always."

So, basically, you're either a liar or you're too thick to understand the definition of the word "always."

Quelle surprise!

Maybe it's "don't" that she fails to comprehend. Africans really have difficulty with verb tenses.

LMWAO, that video is hilarious! The funny part was when they hit him with the wooden clubs. He was talking shit to them, so it was a completely natural response.

Disarray, always remember: you are black trash. You might have white friends, you might have white relatives, you might go to college, but you will always be black trash.

To SBPDL,
I love this site, I appreciate an honest opinion from a white person especially when it is not filled with the n-word or overtures toward emotion. I agree with most of the post's contents but as a black man I don't feel I should be judged with a group I have culturally disassociated myself from. I myself am disgusted by the current dominant culture within the black community and wish to see that culture exposed for the harmful effects it has on all communities it comes in contact with. Since human nature roots for the underdog and many people want to see black people come from behind and do well including myself but the mistake is in the thinking that some how blacks would be more benevolent rulers due to their history of slavery and poverty. This is false and it is actually whites who are more evolved and currently kinder than blacks evidenced by their humanitarian efforts throughout the world and their daily conduct and attitudes towards black people while the blacks act arrogant in public for no reason at all. Like the lion and the mouse, who knows black people may one day be able to repay you in kindness, I personally as of last few years have come to really admire white people surprising since I once almost joined the Nation of Islam. I realize now that my interest in Black militancy was misguided and I hated the foolishness of black culture then but mistakenly thought it was the result of black enslavement but I believe now that black problems are self inflicted. I used to think black history was a positive but I now think it is negative. I used to be a serious student of black history but now I don’t even want to see the Black History shows at the school I teach at , all they talk about is past racism which is over while every year there are emerging white and Asian billionaires (i.e. Zuckerberg) while we talk about tired history that alienates people with money and power. When blacks tried to act white it was probably better because they were trying to get smart and get good jobs but this culture is in full retrograde right now and I am disgusted.
Almost all of my experiences with white people have been positive (99.5%) from doctors (and believe it or not black people )to even policemen who I now advocate for and defend every time I get a chance. I was wrong for blaming white people for any shortcoming in black society and I apologize to white people for that. I believe that Africans could have avoided slavery by educating each other instead of fighting each other as they do today because they will not practice discipline as a group. Slavery has been around before white people and is around right now in Africa. If not for white people and the invention of financial instruments that eliminated the need for forced slavery the primitive practice would be more widespread in Africa today. My view of reparations-This country is filled with educational institutions and libraries with books on science and technology but when I go to the library too many blacks are checking out “Soul Plane” or playing rap videos on the computer or worse making noise and hanging out disturbing me. But despite this I actually care that black people improve because my son and daughter are “black” and they will have to live with being that color but I hate the way the majority of black people think too but I am here and I have an expert chess rating and a master’s degree in math, I am polite and hold the door for people (all colors) when they come into a store, my children are complimented for their manners and make straight A’s and I see them making vital contributions to the country. I have black skin but I can’t stand this ignorant culture either, and I just want to live in peace in this greatest country of America. Don’t lump me in with fools because of my color.

Everyone knows pigs are racist;

BULLSHIT! If they were don't you think they would have let the CHP officer who felt threatened shoot him after she had drawn her gun?

Remember those four officers saved his life.

They gave him ample opportunities to avoid trouble and he ignored every single one of them.

He got tasered with 50 000 volts twice so they figured he was high on PCP so they had to render him unable to attack them.
