At what point does your laughter become nothing more than tears? [That’s a clown question, bro: Rodeo clowns asked to take ‘sensitivity training’, Washington Times, 8-13-13]:
|A 'mixed-race' family felt threatened over this mask and the display of Obama as a rodeo clown... meanwhile, St. Louis continues to drown in black-on-black and black-on-white crime|
The fallout from a Missouri rodeo clown’s mockery of President Obama continued as the Missouri State Fair said it will force all clowns to undergo sensitivity training and the head of the state rodeo-clown organization resigned.
The state fair commission voted Monday to ratify its decision to ban for life the clown in question who wore an Obama mask. The rodeo announcer and a second clown wearing a microphone asked whether the crowd wanted to see him get run down by a bull.
The crowd enthusiastically approved, according to spectators, one of whom compared it to a Ku Klux Klan rally and said his mixed-race family felt threatened.
But the state commission went further Monday, saying it will require that before the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association can take part in any future state fair, “they must provide evidence to the director of the Missouri State Fair that they have proof that all officials and subcontractors of the MRCA have successfully participated in sensitivity training.”
The mockery during Saturday’s bull riding event at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia and the resulting criticisms from Missouri elected officials of both parties has prompted two days of polarized commentary on social and political talk shows, including calls for firings and investigations from liberals who called the skit racist.Sensitivity training? A 'mixed-race' family felt "threatened?"
On Tuesday, the Missouri State National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) issued a statement asking for federal involvement in the case of a rodeo clown who wore an Obama mask and then asked the crowd if they’d like to see Obama run down by a bull. “The activities at the Missouri State Fair targeting and inciting violence against our President are serious and warrant a full review by both the Secret Service and the Justice Department,” said State President Mary Ratliff. “Incidents involving individuals acting out with extreme violent behavior in movie theaters, schools, churches, political appearances, and outdoor events in general speaks volume to the irresponsible behavior of all the parties involved with the incendiary events at the Missouri State Fair.”If this were all a joke, would it even be funny?
That this is really, actually, right-now-as-we-speak-happening, well, are tears for the installation of insanity as the barometer for sanity in Black-Run America (BRA) even necessary?
It would be wrong to bring up 'double-standards' in this case, because in the intellectual climate of 2013 America, as evidenced by The Help and its sequel The Butler, white people carry the mark of racism (the sin) that no sensitivity training-issue soap can cleanse.
But, it's worth rehashing an event from George W. Bush's early days in the White House, when a threat was directed at the president from Frank Castle, aka The Punisher [Hate America "Superhero"?, Frontpagemagazine.com, May 12, 2004]:
The Punisher, Marvel Comics’ avenging vigilante, has become a radical. As well as taking out organized crime kingpins and thugs, he’s now taking on U.S. Intelligence and undermining support for the War on Terrorism. The publication of these comic book polemics coincides with the April release of the feature film “The Punisher” starring Thomas Jane and John Travolta.
Leftist propagandizing is not new to Marvel, nor to the author of the Punisher series, Irishman Garth Ennis. Two months after September 11th, the Punisher was featured threatening the life of President George W. Bush. The story portrays the President as a slobbering belching incoherent drunk, gleefully itching to launch nuclear missiles. The Punisher breaks into the Oval Office, tosses a nine-millimeter bullet before the President and warns ominously, “I can get in anywhere …Nine millimeters. I’m never further away than that.”
Yes, you’ve got it right – Marvel published a threat to assassinate the President of the United States, only weeks after September 11th. Even viewed as sick humor, the tenor and timing of this piece was inexcusable.
Somebody, just send in the clowns.
