How Can We Blame This on Islam? 500 + Blacks Wage War on Civilization at the Magnificent Mile in Chicago

The Magnificent Mile -- the refuse of the demolished Robert Taylor Homes on the South Side threaten civilization in Chicago
Islam is not a threat.

Were there a true threat from Islam (those "Islamo-Fascists" underneath Pamela Gellar's bed), then directly following the 9/11 attacks there would have been multiple followups. For every Fort Hood incident, an investigative journalist like Colin Flaherty could describe 200-300 black-on-white attacks... just from 2013!

The real threat is white America not awakening to the horrors befallen our major cities, courtesy of a population incapable of self-restraint and completely protected by the local, state, and federal government.

What horror do we speak of? The same horror the Chicago Police Department held a townhall meeting to try and educate the "vibrant youth" of the Second City from engaging in -- the horror of Spontaneous Blackness and Mahogany Mob Attacks.

Chicago police made several arrests Saturday evening following another “wilding” scene instigated by young people along the Magnificent Mile.
Photographers shot chaotic video of police officers and vehicles swarming Michigan Avenue near Huron and detaining several young people around 7:30 p.m. Some of the disturbance leaked onto Chicago Avenue near State Street on a relatively warm night with temperatures in the 50s.

Chicago Police News Affairs released a statement overnight saying officers made 17 arrests — of 15 juveniles and two adults — for misdemeanor reckless conduct. The department said the disturbance was caused by “a number of kids fighting among themselves” and there were no reports of assaults, robberies or property damage.
But community activist Andrew Holmes, who happened to be shopping with a relative in the upscale retail district, described a scene in which hundreds of young people misbehaved, with some of them harassing and attacking people on the street.
“They assaulted a Chicago police officer who was on a mounted horse. And all of a sudden, they assaulted the citizens walking the streets – just normal citizens shopping, enjoying the weather,” Holmes told CBS 2’s Chris Martinez. “I caution those parents if their child has been arrested … You need to think about your child. Just don’t say the Chicago police picked on your child, when we watched all the assault going on, especially by teen women.”
Chicago’s Michigan Avenue and nearby retail strips were beset by numerous wilding, or “youth mob,” episodes the past two summers.
The phenomenon continues in Chicago and its suburbs. In February, a disturbance broke out at Ford City Mall after a meet-and-greet appearance by the boy band Mindless Behavior. A mall official blamed groups of “older  youths” and said it had nothing to do with the event.

Muslims didn't devastate Birmingham; Muslims didn't destroy Detroit.

Nearly 30 people were arrested downtown on Saturday night for disturbances that ranged from bumping into passersby on sidewalks to attacking passengers aboard a CTA train, authorities said, citing preliminary information.
Seventeen of the people in custody -- all but two younger than 18 -- were charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.
Those arrests happened on the Magnificent Mile near North Michigan Avenue and East Erie Street between 7 p.m. and about 7:40 p.m., authorities said. The suspects were alleged to have bumped into other people on the sidewalks, blocked sidewalks and traffic on the street and started fights.

No injuries were reported.
In a separate incident, police arrested 11 teens at the CTA's State/Lake station in The Loop about 6:35 p.m. after the group attacked two women on an elevated train car, authorities said, citing preliminary information.
The incident started when a woman on the "L" asked one of the teens to put out a cigarette, authorities said, citing preliminary information. The group of teenagers then allegedly attacked that woman and another woman on the train before running onto the "L" platform with the purse belonging to one of the victims.
Officers arrested the teens as they attempted to leave the station, authorities said.
The 11 teens, all but one of whom are younger than 18, told police they had agreed on Twitter to meet downtown. It appeared that several of those arrested had not met in person before Saturday, authorities said.
The two victims were bruised during the attack but were in good condition and declined medical treatment, authorities said.
The Magnificent Mile in Chicago is the Berlin Wall separating civilization from "what-ever-you-call-the-civilization-black-people-create-on-the-South-Side-of-the City."

The warmest day of the year so far brings hundreds of mischievous teens to Michigan Avenue.
Police are calling it ‘mob action’.
CBS 2 is learning about multiple incidents in at least four different locations along the Magnificent Mile and in the Gold Coast, yielding a slew of arrests.

Things got pretty bad, very quickly with many innocent shoppers and tourists caught in the middle of a very chaotic situation.
Hundreds of teens littered Michigan Avenue and State Street near Chicago.
Things started to go bad around 6:00 p.m. Saturday, with teens purposely bumping into people, and causing fights among themselves.
Fifteen juveniles and two adults were arrested and charged with Reckless Conduct— a misdemeanor.
Community activist, Andrew Holmes witnessed some of the problems, while shopping with his family.
“You had a group of teens, close to maybe 500. They assaulted a Chicago police officer that was on a mounted on a horse and all of a sudden they assaulted a citizen walking the streets, just a normal citizen shopping and enjoying the weather,” said Holmes.
Later that night, a man was attacked around 10:45 p.m. while walking near Chicago and Dearborn. Sources tell us he was jumped and punched in the face by a group of teens. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
In a separate incident, a group of woman say they were attacked by a mob of girls on the CTA Red Line. The women reported a robbery once they got off the train at the State and Monroe station. Eleven females were arrested—10 juveniles and one adult—and charged with battery. Two of the teens were charged with strong- armed robbery.
“I caution those parents if their child has been arrested which numerous teenagers have been arrested tonight, that you need to think about your child. Just don’t say the Chicago police picked on your child, when we were watching all the assault going on, especially by teen women,” said Holmes.

How about black 'mob action'?

Assaulting police officers and randomly attacking white people?

Yes -- let's all fear Sharia Law (just restrict immigration from Muslim nations and then the threat of Islam is over), while Organized Blackness protects black criminality and black mob activity by threatening not only economic boycotts, but more black mob/riot activity if white America doesn't acquiesce to acts of Spontaneous Blackness.

Why worry about Sharia Law in our judicial system, when the threat of black riots after a "guilty" verdict for a black criminal already restrict the court system? 

When white America wakes up, whatever threat Islam poses to America will be neutralized, but the first threat to America is Obama's Sons.

The great threat is that white people in Chicago and across the nation have grown comfortable, accustomed to these acts of Spontaneous Blackness that they've moved far away from ever having to encounter. They are now numb to these incredible displays of why they moved to the suburbs (what is merely normally black behavior in black communities), and believe no solution exists to deal with the continued degradation of major cities and commercial areas.

Meanwhile, Detroit is in ruins; Memphis is in ruins; Baltimore is in ruins; Milwaukee and Indianapolis are headed in that same direction.

The hilarity of the situation is that the state (those in charge of the city government of Chicago) is completely on the side of Spontaneous Blackness, handicapping the police in dealing with that "The Great Migration" imported to the city.

And to think... it's only March.

The Black Unemployable Rate (BUR) in Action: Bob Johnson Battles Low IQ and Poor Future-Time Orientation in the Black Community

Uh-oh. The Black Unemployable Rate (BUR) is back in the news, with Black Entertainment Television founder Bob Johnson bemoaning the toxic combination - lethal, perhaps - of low IQ and poor future-time orientation planning:
Black Entertainment Television (BET) founder Bob Johnson said Tuesday that the nation would “never tolerate white unemployment at 14 or 15 percent” and yet unemployment for the black community has been double that of white Americans for over 50 years.

“This country would never tolerate white unemployment at 14 and 15 percent. No one would ever stay in office at 14 or 15 percent unemployment in this nation, but we’ve had that double unemployment for over 50 years,” Johnson said while speaking at the National Press Club about the gap between whites and blacks in America.

“The national average is 7.7 percent, and African-American unemployment is 13.8 percent. To be honest, it’s probably greater than that when you count the number of African-Americans who have simply given up on finding employment,” said Johnson, who is also founder and chairman of The RLJ Companies.
In 1972, the unemployment rate for African-Americans was 11.2 percent in January of that year and as low as 9.4 percent in December of that same year. It dipped as low as seven percent in April 2000. The unemployment rate for blacks in February 2013 was 13.8 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Johnson said the challenge was to figure out why the unemployment rate for blacks has been so high, “and if that doesn’t change, somebody’s going to have to pay— 34 million African-Americans are not going to leave this country, millions of African-Americans who don’t have jobs.”
“Somebody’s going to have to pay for them. Somebody’s going to have to take care of them, and if somebody’s going to have to take care of them, that money’s got to come from somebody. And whoever’s paying for it is going to be upset about it, and they’re going to start looking for somebody to blame,” Johnson said.
According to the poll Johnson commissioned, which was conducted by Zogby, 50 percent of African-Americans blame the “failure of the education system for minorities/African-Americans” for high unemployment among blacks, while 48 percent say the “lack of corporate commitment to hiring minorities/African-Americans” is to blame for unemployment in the black community.
Twenty-five percent of respondents blame the lack of government policies for the high rate of black unemployment. Eighteen percent don’t blame anyone or anything, and twelve percent aren’t sure.
“We can’t be competitive if we don’t put all our people on the field to work, and African-Americans can’t be consumers if they don’t have jobs. They can’t buy houses, and the reason the wealth gap is so high, we don’t [have] home ownership. We don’t have savings. We don’t have investments, and part of that is because we don’t have capital,” Johnson said.
What if an entity existed that didn't have a lack of corporate commitment to hiring minorities/blacks? In fact, what if one could look at government hiring at the local, state, and federal level, and point out that it operates as a powerful jobs program for otherwise unemployable black people? The Chicago Transit Authority, one of the largest employers in Chicago, has a dramatic racial imbalance in its workforce, records show.
Data obtained by WND through a Freedom of Information Act request reveals that whites and Hispanics are vastly underrepresented in the Chicago Transit Authority workforce.
Minorities are 82 percent of the total CTA workforce, with blacks comprising 65 percent. The city of Chicago itself is roughly one-third white, one-third Hispanic and one-third black.
The percentage of blacks in CTA employment is twice their share of the population, and several legal experts are surprised by this disparity, and note that a similar racial imbalance would be cause for alarm if the disparity were weighted toward whites.
The disproportionately high percentage of blacks employed in Chicago by CTA is part of a pattern observed in Washington, D.C., Birmingham, Ala., and Atlanta, Ga., among other cities. According to the New York Times, one out of every five black workers has a public sector job.
University of Pennsylvania law professor Amy Wax offered her view to WND:
Although blacks would almost certainly be better off if they were more active in the private economy, the fact is that they are unduly dependent on public sector employment. Without government jobs, the turmoil and instability that is already too prevalent in the black community might increase.
In the private and public sector, disparities in hiring or pay are often the subject of controversy and lawsuits.
Roger Clegg, president and general counsel for the Center for Equal Opportunity, told WND that the CTA demographics would be an issue if the races were reversed.
“It is certainly true that, if the shoe were on the other foot, there would be all kinds of accusations being made.”
Clegg says that the disparities raise questions about CTA’s hiring practices.
“I would say that these numbers don’t prove that anything is amiss, but that they do merit further inquiry to ensure that the CTA is recruiting and hiring the best qualified individuals, regardless of skin color or national origin,” he said.
Wax argues that “[t]he whole point of discarding disparate impact liability” which she seeks to abolish, “is that a discrepancy between specific groups’ percentage in the population and their representation in a particular job or job type should not be the basis for litigation.”
Yes, Virginia, the government does exist to employ otherwise unemployable black people. It's not just the CTA that is run as a jobs program, with your friendly, neighborhood United States Postal Service (USPS) performing as the ultimate market inefficient employer of otherwise unemployable black people as well.

Let's face it -- the government and barber shops are about the only two sources of steady jobs for black people.

Oh, and Mr. Johnson, black people can be "consumers" if they don't have jobs... that's what the EBT/Food Stamp card is for!! That you can't invest the government issued EBT/Food Stamp in the stock market yet is only a few years away from seeing implementation into the marketplace.

Weaponized Equality, after all, is the theory that the government can break down all barriers of inequality placed in front of black people.

Damn the consequences, right?

R.I.P Lawrence Auster

Lawrence Auster's work had a profound influence on shaping the political philosophy of SBPDL. Months ago, in a private conversation with him, I was able to convey my deep sense of gratitude in all that he had done to help promote and legitimize this site to his audience, but most importantly, what he had done to help shape my thinking about the world.

As the United States of America continues on its path to national suicide, those who remember the work of Lawrence Auster know we simply have one task at hand -- survive what is coming.

We only have to win once -- those who hate the civilization of the West must continue to wage a war against us from every conceivable angle.

We only have to win once.

At the end of the movie "Deep Impact," the president of the United States (played by Morgan Freeman) gives a powerful oration to those surviving humans who are tasked with rebuilding a world ravaged by a meteorite.

He says:
"Cities fall, but they are rebuilt. And heroes die, but they are remembered. We honor them with every brick we lay, with every field we sow, with every child we comfort and then teach to rejoice in what we have been regiven."
There will come a day when we find ourselves in a similar scenario, when the leveling forces of egalitarianism and what we've dubbed Black-Run America (BRA) comes to an end.

Lawrence Auster was there to act as a light house for those souls hoping to traverse the rocky waters of modernity, shining a beacon of truth in an epoch that values obfuscation of facts and the acknowledgement of any merit behind ideas that can labeled "intolerant" or "ignorant" to keep from debating them.

Writing at Al.com, resident white-guilt drenched editorial writer John Archibald voices his disgust with anyone daring to notice a racial angle to the disaster (mind you, a disaster normally reserved for a "developing country" or a "third world" nation) at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.

And, yes, in a city stuck in 1963, it should be fairly obvious a racial angle is in play. In fact, the Birmingham Airport Authority (BAA) - the city of Birmingham owns the airport, but the BAA is tasked with running it - needs only look at the fabled "Birmingham Plan" of 1990 to see why the city is perpetually stuck in 1963.

Since 1989, the city of Birmingham has operated under a consent decree ensuring that something called the "Birmingham Plan-Construction Industry Program" guides all city contracts, fuels the Minority Business Enterprise Program, and demands minority inclusion in all private and public construction efforts:
The Birmingham Construction Industry Authority (BCIA) is one of several voluntary programs that are collectively referred to as “The Birmingham Plan”, a plan established in 1990 and designed to overcome the critical under-utilization of Minority and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (MBE/DBE) in the City of Birmingham’s economic growth.
The BCIA Board of Directors establishes voluntary goals for minority and disadvantaged business participation in construction projects. These goals apply to both the public and private sectors of the construction industry, and are used throughout the Greater Birmingham four-county area.
All companies, public and private, that engage at any time in the purchase of construction services within the metropolitan Birmingham area are encouraged to become signatories to the Birmingham Plan-Construction Industry agreement.
Signatory participants agree to participate by adopting the BCIA guidelines and pledging to comply with the participation goals and objectives established. BCIA guidelines are included in the specifications of each signatory participant’s projects; making them obligatory upon the general contractors negotiating/bidding such projects.
 Since the city of Birmingham owns the airport, this consent decree applies to all construction projects there as well. Wait a second though, what is this Birmingham Construction Industry Authority?:

The goals and objectives expressed in the BCIA mission statement are
  • Promote community awareness and a sense of responsibility for including MBE/DBE contractors in the economic mainstream. 
  • Promote a thriving and diversified construction marketplace for both business and employment in the Greater Birmingham Metropolitan area. 
  • Promote the recognition of the BCIA by construction users as a resource center for community responsible construction businesses, both mainstream and MBE/DBE. 
  • Promote proactive and innovative efforts to meet the goals and objectives of the Birmingham Plan. 
  • Promote the construction industry as a viable career option for minority students as well as by providing assistance through scholarship and expanded employment opportunities. 
  • Certify and monitor the development of bona fide firms which are owned and controlled in both form and substance by qualified minority and disadvantaged persons.  

How's that working out so far? That's right: black-owned businesses account for only one percent of all annual corporate revenue in the state of Alabama.
Yes, white man, that is what 2013 Birmingham looks like

Blacks are 26 percent of the state of Alabama's population.

Even with government mandated programs, only one percent of annual corporate revenue in the state comes from black-owned firms. 

But let's get back to the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport and the "Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)" program. Would you believe the federal government mandates, as a condition of receiving federal assistance from the Board of Transportation, airports to have a DBE?:

No super power would handicap construction projects that serve the general public with egalitarian guidelines, just as no first world city would see an airport they own have an information sign fall off of a wall and kill someone.

Guns, Blacks, and Steel: Michael Moore Compliments White People on Their Safe Communities


Oh Michael Moore. You had to put your foot in it, didn’t you? [MICHAEL MOORE: 90 PERCENT OF GUNS OWNED BY 'SCARED' WHITE PEOPLE, Breitbart.com, 3-23-13]:
"Did you realize that over 90% of the guns in this country are owned by white people in the suburbs and in rural areas? Ninety-percent of our guns are not owned by African-Americans, hispanics, minority groups, they're owned by white people. Now what are these white people so afraid of out in the suburbs? Are they thinking little red head, freckle-faced Jimmy down the street is going to, you know, kill them? Mug them? I don't think so. Are they afraid the guy next door is gonna break in and steal their t.v.? No, because they know the guy next door makes $50-60,000 a year. So poverty and racism is pretty much the same answer for a lot of our other problems.
 
In pointing out white people create safe communities, his attack on white gun-owners was actually quite complimentary.... Michael Moore, whitey owns guns because they know dangerous minorities kill people
Ninety percent of the guns in America are owned by white people (if we are to believe Jim Carrey, white people with incredibly small dicks – right?) who cling to their guns, their religion, and the idea America is actually still a nation, right Mr. Moore?

What are these white people so afraid of out in the suburbs surrounding once thriving cities?  Where peace and tranquility is something a massive police presence has to enforce/create, but the natural state of being… but that’s to white-bread, bland, and boring for people like Michael Moore.

Why not let two New Jersey cities, 4.9 percent white Camden and 11.6 white Newark supply the answer as to why white people are armed in America?

You see, Camden is home to something the police dub “community guns,” which pose a great danger to the stability of the 95.1 percent non-white city

Following last December’s gun buyback, which netted a record-breaking 1,137 firearms and by all official accounts was a great success, New Jersey Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa stated that the effort had also claimed some “community guns.” 
However, while the attorney general stated the buyback saw “plenty” of such weapons purchased off the streets, the number of community guns remains greater than ever, according to Camden Police Chief Scott Thomson. 
Speaking last week, Thomson explained that community guns are primarily used in the city’s open-air drug markets, in which dealers, lookouts and others hide firearms within the immediate area, in order to retrieve them in case something goes wrong. 
“It can be a revolver or a shotgun — but mostly a pistol — and they’re hidden in high grass, abandoned houses, the wheel well of a car, or anywhere that’s in the general area of the criminal operation,” said Thomson. “It could also be just put in their pocket, and passed along to another person at the end of a shift.” 
While Thomson said any estimate on the number of community guns in use at any given time would be “pure speculation,” the chief said officials know that their use has increase based on the number of shootings that have occurred over recent years. 
“It’s impossible to tell how many, but we know there are more now than before, because of the number of shootings — flagrant shootings — we’ve had in the area,” he said. “Even many criminals don’t feel safe, and are using them because they feel the need for protection. 
“You have predators out there who are working their way down the food chain.”On the same night that Camden County Freeholder Director Lou Cappelli noted during a public meeting that the shooting rate is already double that of last year, Camden City saw its 12th homicide of the year Thursday, when 33-year-old Terrell Jackson, from Collingswood, was found shot dead in the street. 
Last year, Camden broke its previous record with 67 homicides.

Not a lot of white people committing crimes and partaking in the “community gun” fade in Camden, eh Focker?

But what about Newark, a city where a massive black riot in the 1960s convinced white people it was time to vacate the city and search for safer communities to live out their lives? [Booker Mulls Mandating Armed Guards, Curfews For Newark Businesses After Recent Violence
The recent bloodshed at a Bergen Street bodega and an IHOP right across the street from busy University Hospital has Newark officials again talking about curfews and armed security. 
“Irvington closes their bars an hour before we do. East Orange closes restaurants at 10 p.m., so why in Newark [do] we let folks kind of have their way and go a lot later?” Newark Mayor Cory Booker asked. 
Booker vetoed a measure last year that would have mandated late-night establishments have armed guards, citing the cost to local businesses, 1010 WINS’ Steve Sandberg reported. But Booker appears to be changing his tune after recent incidents. 
“We also want people to be safe and we’ve got to strike the balance,” he said. “We need to start talking, questioning that. And if you want to stay open later, maybe there should be certain requirements.” 
Booker called the latest violence “unacceptable” and urged the public to get involved. 
He said officials must “come up with some rational ideas about how to create more safety, but also to deal with the compelling interest of allowing people to make a profit.”

You know the only rational idea for making the city of Newark safer? It has nothing to do with enacting wartime measures (curfews, checkpoints, police/security in every business, cameras, drones, etc.), but with simply replacing the non-white population that makes Newark so unsafe with… white people.

Michael Moore was correct when he said white suburbanites aren’t afraid of their white neighbors, but that the fear of “what lurks in the dark” is the reason they cling to their guns.

And what “lurks in the dark” of most urban areas of America is dangerous black people, a most compelling reason to pack heat and own a gun.

So yes, were the white suburbanites to replace the current population of both Newark and Camden, each city would instantly become safer.

Course, property value and business would return, meaning tax-revenue would be collected allowing Camden to actually have a police force again…

But, what was it Michael Moore was saying again? What was it Jim Carrey was so upset about again?

Oh, that’s right – dangerous minorities might kill people, but white people aren’t supposed to notice.

And if they notice and buy firearms for protection, they do so because of penis envy.

Funny – there seems to be no correlation to penis size and the ability to build or even maintain a civilization.

Camden and Newark were once nice, thriving, productive cities (merely a reflection of the type of community the individual contributions of the white majority could create)  – until riots and the displacement of the very people who created those conditions.

Today, the conditions of both cities are merely a reflection of the individual contributions of almost entirely non-white people.

And white people living in suburbs within driving distances of these cities own firearms, knowing their neighbors won’t engage in a home invasion or mugging of their family, but the current inhabitants of Camden and Newark are only an hour car ride away from doing so.

Actually, the answer to almost all of our problems is losing the fear of pointing out the reality of black criminality -- and that "poverty" has nothing to do with it. 

After all, we are constantly told by the left that more white people are on welfare then non-whites; that being the case, why aren't white people disproportionately committing crimes as blacks are doing?

Was Luke Bresette a Victim of "Disadvantaged business enterprises"? -- 35 Percent of Contracts for $201 Million Expansion at Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport Awarded to Minority Firms


A 10-year-old boy is dead.

The airport is undergoing federal funded $201 million in renovations, with 35 percent of the contracts going to minority firms (blacks firms, though blacks are 74 percent of Birmingham's population)
As the Birmingham News notes, the flight in “a flight information display sign, estimated to weigh between 300-400 pounds, peeled away from the wall at the newly-renovated airport on Friday afternoon, falling on Heather Bresette and three of her sons: Luke, 10, Sam, 8 and Tyler, 5. Why does this tragedy deserve mention? Because we are talking about the “Tragic City” – 74 percent black Birmingham – where the almost entirely black political establishment ‘party’s like it’s 1963’ on a daily basis.

Spend $300,000 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 1963 and Civil Rights?


Spend $300,000 (of a four year, $1.2 million agreement) to help fund the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama event at Barber Motorsports Park - an event that has already created an $80 million economic on the area – and generate positive news for the city?



"What are other cities contributing to this? Birmingham contributes the support for everything," Valorie Abbott, Birmingham City Councilor, said. 
Councilman Steven Hoyt questioned why a majority black city should continue to give money to the event run at the Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds. 
"I've seen nobody, nobody who looks like me make any decisions with Barber sports. None. Zero," Hoyt said.

You know a place where a lot of decisions are made that look like you Councilman Hoyt?

The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, where the black airport President and CEO Al Denson gets paid $398,549 a year – which dwarfs the salary of the general manager at Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta, though the latter has 30 times the passengers a month as Birmingham…

Councilman Hoyt has made a career out of promoting only the interests of the black citizens of Birmingham, caring little for their economic wellbeing if it means enriching white people or executing contracts with a white owned firm.

The Birmingham City Council – seven of nine members are black – passed a minority inclusion ordinance back in 2007 for all city contracts.

But what of the airport? [Airport meets minority participation goal for expansion project, Al.com, 11-27-12]:

At least 35 percent of businesses with contracts to perform work on the $201 million expansion of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport are owned by minorities, meeting or exceeding a goal set before the project began, airport executive director Al Denson said today. 
The issue of minority participation in the project was raised this afternoon at a briefing on the expansion held for Jefferson County's delegation to the state legislature. Rep. Mary Moore, D-Birmingham, asked for a report on the number of contractors and sub-contractors that are certified as "disadvantaged business enterprises" by the U.S. Department of Transportation. 
Those businesses typically are owned by African Americans or women. The Airport Authority board of directors has closely monitored contracts to ensure minority participation with the goal of helping smaller minority-owned firms develop contacts and relationships that will lead to growth. 
"These relationships should translate into jobs," Denson said. 
Denson also updated the delegation on the status of construction. The first phase of the project is expected to be complete within a couple of months, and the second and final phase in 2014. Among the improvements that travelers may notice will be the single security checkpoint, as opposed to multiple checkpoints in the current facility, and the addition of loading bridges, which currently aren't available at every gate.
While the elected black officials in Birmingham constantly party “like it’s 1963” in ‘The Tragic City,’ 10-year-old Luke Bresette of Kansas is dead.

He’s dead.

Why is this happening in a supposed first-world nation, where American Exceptionalism makes us that “Shining City on a Hill”? 

There are moments where you realize so many people must be… punished.

This story is one of them.

‘Disadvantaged business enterprises’ are awarded at least 35 percent of the contracts at this airport, showing once again that content of character or merit matter in Black-Run America (BRA).

Nor for that matter, does the life of a 10-year-old from Kansas. After all, he’s a white kid from a white family who might be fans of NASCAR or Indy racing.

No blacks faces there, right Councilman Hoyt?

Lots of black faces at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport though… especially in leadership positions - authority positions - awarding lucrative contracts to friends only because of the color of their skin.

Keep partying like it's 1963. 

Keep partying. 

Because when the party ends, there's gonna be a hell of a mess to clean up.

"The Day the EBT Card Runs Out" -- Augusta, Georgia Edition

Augusta, Georgia... home to The Masters. Not Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Augusta, Georgia, home of the revered Augusta National Golf Club (host The Masters), is yet another major city in The Peach State with a majority black population – 56 percent black, 31 percent white.

In 2009, 35 percent of black people in Richmond County (home to Augusta) survived by relying on EBT/Food Stamps. Ten percent of the white population was on food stamps.

Why bring this up? Because there was a run on a grocery store in Augusta by black people after the owners of Laney Supermarket were evicted [Police restrain crowd from taking food after supermarket eviction, Fox 54 Augusta, 3-27-13]:
Law enforcement officials pushed back hundreds of people who were crowding around a large pile of merchandise outside an Augusta grocery store Tuesday afternoon. 
But the goods sitting in the parking lot of the Laney Supermarket didn't make into anyone's hands. 
Instead, the food people hoped to take home was tossed into the trash. 
"People have children out here that are hungry, thirsty, could be anything. Why throw it away when you could be issuing it out?" asked Robertstine Lambert. 
The Marshal of Richmond County, Steve Smith, says the food wasn't theirs to give away, so they had to trash it. 
"We don't have authority to take possession of the property; we just have to make sure that it's handled, disposed of by law," Smith, said.   
SunTrust Bank in Atlanta owns the property and they're sending the merchandise to the landfill after evicting the Chois, the owners of the grocery store. 
The Chois didn't want to speak on camera but they say they were kicked out by the bank because they owe them thousands of dollars. 
They say they offered the food to a church, but members didn't show up to claim it.That's when word that store products were abandoned spread through the community. 
About 300 people came to take merchandise home, but they were held back by law enforcement.   
"These are brand new items; we saw the potential for a riot was extremely high," said Sheriff Richard Roundtree. 
Jennifer Santiago was forced to leave empty handed and she says trashing the merchandise is truly a waste. 
"For them to do this is a low blow. A lot of people are sad, a lot of people aren't going to have food to put on their table; this is ridiculous," she said. 
The Chois say they were notified by the bank on Friday that they would be evicted on Tuesday. 
They say they didn't move out earlier because they wanted to work up to the last minute.

The pictures look like a scene from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, after a United States Army Supply Convoy has appeared to provide food and water to a people completely dependent on outside aid to exist.

Officials estimated 200 to 300 people filled the parking lot at Laney Supermarket, 843 Laney-Walker Blvd., after word spread that the Richmond County Marshal’s Office was enforcing an eviction at the business. 
Officials said onlookers became angry when they learned they would not be allowed to take away food and other sundries that were piled outside the grocery as “abandoned property.” 
The crowd dissipated after a swarm of deputies arrived, along with Sheriff Richard Roundtree, to assist the three marshals who had been initially assigned to the eviction. 
“There is the potential to have people fighting and causing problems,” Lt. Calvin Chew said. “That’s not something we want.” 
There were no arrests in the resulting confusion, but groups of people remained to watch the proceedings, many clutching empty bags and grumbling. 
Tiffany Serles said she heard about the eviction from her aunt who lives nearby.“She said they evicting Gurley’s,” Serles said, referring to the former name of the neighborhood market. “So, I came down here to get some of the stuff.” 
Serles was watching with several friends while workers scooped up the food and other merchandise in trash cans which were in turn dumped into two garbage bins that officials said were destined for the Richmond County landfill. 
“It’s a shame that they are just throwing all this stuff away and not even donating it to a shelter or anything,” she said. 
Her friend, Victoria Williams, said she heard about the eviction on Facebook, as did many others. Word spread fast, and soon the parking lot was packed with people and cars waiting for a chance to take away the spoils. 

“There are people with babies who need diapers out here,” she said.

Then get a job to provide the monetary ability to actually purchase those diapers.

Or, is watching re-runs of “Tom and Jerry” (right De-Marquise Elkins?) cartoons to great a distraction from pulling yourself together and finding employment so that you can provide for your state-dependent off-spring?

“The Day the EBT Card Stops Working” is the ultimate apocalyptic scenario, far more frightening than anything George Romero or Sam Raimi could devise for the big screen.

“Night of the Living Dead,” “Evil Dead”... these movies have nothing – NOTHING - on the real-life scenario of “The Day the EBT Card Runs Out.”

Remember – police were called to the scene of the Laney Supermarket in Augusta because blacks felt entitled to procuring free diapers and food ("People have children out here that are hungry, thirsty, could be anything. Why throw it away when you could be issuing it out?" asked Robertstine Lambert) to feed their families they otherwise wouldn’t be able to provide for… well, at least they have the EBT/Food Stamp card to fall back on.
Until then, large sections of the United States will continue to resemble Port-au-Prince, where the population growth is completely attributable to government funding.
