Less than 24 hours after this story was edited, gun violence claimed the life of yet another close friend of Williams’s. On March 26, Cordero Mosley, 27, was shot six times on Chicago’s South Side. The two had been friends since grade school.

CHICAGO — The first time I meet Camiella Williams, she pulls out her smartphone and calls up a Facebook album she created called “Lost but not forgotten.” It’s filled with pictures of mostly young African-American men, and serves as a kind of memorial wall to some of the people she’s known who have been gunned down on the streets of Chicago. “Martece,” she says, pausing at a photo of a young man in a neon green shirt and a baseball cap. “He got killed on 81st and Ashland, in the dollar store.” The caption on the photo notes that Martece’s little sister was killed six months later, in 2008. Williams, 28, has lost 23 close friends and relatives to gun violence in the past 12 years.

We’re sitting on a bright orange couch in the student union of Governor’s State University, a small state school in a suburb just south of Chicago. It’s November, and students rushing by on their way to final exams stop to say hello. Williams has a round face and a gap-toothed smile, offset by fashionable rectangular glasses. The following week she will complete her bachelor’s degree in criminology, and then begin a master’s program in January.

Williams’s interest in criminology springs from a childhood spent in poor areas of Chicago’s South Side — Englewood, Auburn Gresham, Chicago Lawn — where gun violence is common. In the last five years alone these neighborhoods have collectively seen more than 2,000 shootings, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Scrolling through her Facebook album, Williams points to a photo of a grinning teenage boy with short dreadlocks. “This is my friend Johnathan,” she says, a weariness in her voice. “He was killed at a nightclub in 2008. He was shot in the head by the security guard.”

Another photo, another young man, this one singing into a studio microphone. “Tony was like my big brother. He was an artist.” Tony was shot in the face outside an apartment complex in 2008 and died at the hospital a few hours later.

More faces float by: A middle-aged man. A few adolescent girls. A young man named Deonte, fatally shot during a spate of shootings over July 4th weekend in 2009.
“Imagine,” Williams says. “They’re your friends on Facebook one minute, and then they’re gone the next.”

Williams has more than 3,000 Facebook friends. Amid the reminders of loved ones she’s lost, periodically she comes across people that she knows have carried out a shooting. Some of those same people circulate stop-the-violence messages, to her disbelief. “I’m like, dude, you’re killing people,” Williams says.

Not so long ago, gun violence could have consumed her life as well. Williams joined a gang in elementary school, bought her first handgun in sixth grade, and began dealing drugs in high school. It wasn’t until she was 19, when she was pregnant with her child, that she decided to break away from the dangerous trajectory that she had set herself upon as a girl on the city’s South Side. Her path from street life to graduate school has taken 10 years.

“If I didn’t have my son,” Williams says, “I don’t know where my life would have been.” But she can guess. Either the gang disputes she often encountered might have lead her to kill someone. Or someone would have tried to kill her.

Williams was born in South Shore, an economically struggling neighborhood in the city’s South Side with stately red-brick apartment buildings that recall more prosperous times. Even as a young child, she was aware of the area’s problems. But until she was seven, she says, “life was perfect.”

 Odds those stately red-brick apartment buildings were once "white only"?

Imagine being a police officer in 65 percent black Baltimore, a city completely dominated by black elected/appointed officials committed to protecting black criminality as a buffer from gentrification.

You're driving on patrol in the middle of the day and encounter two black males: one is holding an AR-15 the other a semiautomatic pistol. It would later turn out this two black individuals were father and son.

What happens next is the reason why white police officers must resign en masse from their jobs in majority black cities, where black elected/appointed officials control city hall, the judiciary, and the prosecutors office (and white enablers writing for Gannett-owned papers publish story after story protecting black criminality, blaming it solely on white racism). The Baltimore police officers involved in Thursday's fatal shooting of a father and son armed with weapons were videotaped being read their Miranda rights at the direction of prosecutors after declining to give statements, a police union attorney said.

Michael Davey, the attorney, said it was the first time he could recall such a move by prosecutors in 16 years working with the police union.

"These guys should get a medal for what they did, instead of being treated like criminals by the state's attorney's office," Davey said.

Rochelle Ritchie, spokeswoman for the Baltimore State's Attorney's Office, said it has always been a standard practice for all police-involved shootings to provide officers with their Miranda rights. She said Davey's recollection is not consistent with the common practice to record such interviews.

Police held a news conference Friday in which they detailed how three officers were on patrol in Greenmount West on Thursday afternoon when they encountered Matthew Wood Jr., 42, and his son, Kimani Johnson, 18. They were armed with a semiautomatic rifle and a pistol. Police said the men appeared poised to fire on a group of people across the street, near a playground.

The officers, identified as Sgt. Joseph Wiczulis and Officer Norman Jones, fired 56 shots; Wood and Johnson fired none. Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said the officers fired until the "threat was eliminated."

Officers can maintain their right to remain silent in a criminal investigation, which is initiated after every officer-involved shooting. The Police Department can compel an officer to speak, but according to state law those remarks can only be used in an administrative investigation.

Davey said he advised the officers not to give statements immediately after the shooting.

"It was a traumatic incident, and they were not ready to give a statement," Davey said. "They have a constitutional right not to give a voluntary statement, and I made the decision that I was not comfortable with them giving a formal statement."

Davey said prosecutors were frustrated by the officers' refusal to speak, and ordered that they be videotaped being read their Miranda rights and declining to answer questions.

"In 16 years representing officers in the Baltimore Police Department, I've never seen it happen," Davey said.

Wiczulis has been involved in two previous shootings. In 2010, Thomas Tavon Miller shot two officers in East Baltimore. Those officers, along with Wiczulis, fired back, killing Miller. In 2013, he was involved in a fatal shooting in the Douglass Homes housing project. Police said Donte Bennett ran through a courtyard and past a playground before he took out a handgun and was shot. His mother called for an independent investigation at the time.

 There is no reforming the black population of Baltimore. There is no reforming the black population of Memphis, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Birmingham or New Orleans.

Pull out completely and stop wasting your time trying to redeem a population daily engaging in behavior clearly refuting the cherished belief in the equality of the races.

America is irredeemable, but that doesn't mean we have to be.

The gunman who killed a Virginia state trooper at a busy bus terminal Thursday has been identified as a 34-year-old from Illinois.

A relative described the shooter, James Brown III of Aurora, Illinois, as an ex-con who 'always liked the criminal side.'

'He had a lot of anger about the police in the past,' said the gunman's aunt, Edith Brown, in an interview with CBS 6 Friday. 

'He pretty much thought he wanted to be infamous... in terms of having a showdown.

He always praised those people who got into shootouts with police,' the aunt said.

'He said he would never go back to prison again,' Brown said of her nephew, who was also killed in Thursday's gunfight at a Greyhound bus station in Richmond.

'He would fight it out with them.'

Police did not give a motive for the shooting.

Brown shot Trooper Chad P. Dermyer, 37, multiple times Thursday in Richmond before he was killed by two other troopers, police said. 

Chief Alfred Durham said Thursday that the gunman had a criminal record but did not elaborate. 

Court records obtained by CBS 6 showed Brown had been charged with murder, intent to kill, aggravated battery with a firearm, failure to obey police, resisting a corrections officer, aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, aggravated battery of an unborn child, numerous drug charges, intimidation, domestic battery, felony possession of a weapon, among many driving charges, the station reported. 

It is unclear whether or not Brown was convicted of any of the above charges.   

There are literally hundreds of thousands of individuals like Brown walking around America, fed an unhealthy diet of anti-white hatred and a toxic shooter of "fuck the police" on a daily basis. 

Long ago, true fools decided to embark on the fantasy that race doesn't matter; we are living in the nightmarish reality of these fools' folly.
