Wait a second... isn't the Gunslinger in Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" a White Man?

It all goes back a few years. 

Rumors were Thomas Jane, the white male actor deemed "too white" by producer Joel Silver to co-star with Sylvester Stallone in Headshot (it became Bullet to the Head), was in discussion to play the gunslinger in the highly popular The Dark Tower movie adaptation. In the 2007 horror film The Mist, Thomas Jane's character is seen painting a movie poster for... The Dark Tower. It's an incredibly famous easter egg, because the character of Roland (the gunslinger) is a beloved by legions of fans. Described by Stephen King as having "blue bombardier eyes" and being repeatedly called a "honky mahfahs" Detta Walker, a hilariously anti-white black female character integral to the plot of the book, Roland is a white male in Jane's painting. 

King has repeatedly stated Roland was inspired by Clint Eastwood's "Man with No Name" character, as it's a not to carefully guarded secret the gunslinger is a white male. 

So what does Hollywood do for the film adaptation coming out in July of 2017? 

Cast a black guy as the gunslinger, even though every book cover for The Dark Tower has always shown Roland as a white male and his race is described numerous times throughout the series, even to the point of being called a "honky mahfahs" by an anti-white black character. THE FACE OF A HERO

One obvious change from the novels is the fact that Roland has always been depicted as a white man with blue eyes, although to Elba that change is no deeper than a layer of skin. 

As we sit outside his trailer, watching as the shape of Table Mountain vanishes and reappears in the mist overhead, we talk of Stephen King’s reaction to his casting, which was: “I love it. I think he’s a terrific actor, one of the best working in the business now.” 

Elba smiles. Roland doesn’t smile much, but King’s words seem to nudge him.“I was thrilled. I was thrilled to get this job,” Elba says. “I was thrilled because, you know, it’s an alternative to what you could say, what Roland is described as.” 

I ask him if he means a white guy, and Elba shrugs. It’s more than that. “A white guy in a sense, but, also just that you could make a version of this film that appealed to a slightly more action-hero type character and I don’t do those films. I haven’t done many actions films,” he says. “I like to bring a little depth and bring a real character. And what’s been fun is, Nik’s really up for that. So we do takes that are a little bit more commercial, if you like, and we do takes that are f—ing deep, like we’re making an independent film. It’s an iconic character. I want to get it right.” 

With Hollywood still struggling with diversity and inclusion, exemplified by the #OscarsSoWhite controversy this year, his casting in the role does seem to be freighted with extra significance. I asked Elba if he considers the race-swapping of the character to be a big deal. 

“It’s better just to treat it like no big deal,” Elba answers. “There should be no difference. The character that was written in Stephen’s imagination, it could be any color. It just happens to be me and, you know? In the artwork, it just so happens to be a white guy, but I don’t think that makes any difference. … I think what’s great about it, if I want to say anything about it, is that it is a sign of the times in terms of a colorless society. People go, ‘A good actor is a good actor,’ you know?”

But Elba isn't a good actor. He's just a black actor with a British accent forced down consumers throats until they've been conditioned his not just a good actor, but a Nordic deity.

News broke in December that Idris Elba seemed to be the frontrunner for the role of Roland Deschain in the long-anticipated adaptation of Steven King's The Dark Tower. The potential casting would change the race of the gunslinger, a realization that received mixed reactions around the Internet. 

Akiva Goldsman, who is writing and producing the project, spoke to IGN at the 2016 winter Television Critics Association press tour while promoting his new WGN America series Underground, which is an escape thriller centered around the Underground Railroad. Talk shifted to the reaction to Elba's potential casting, and Goldsman shared his thoughts on the situation. 

"I think Idris Elba is the greatest possible idea for casting for Roland, and I'm unbelievably proud of it as a collaborator on this enterprise and because I think that he's a great actor and I couldn't be more thrilled that he is likely to play a part," Goldsman said. "I understand that people who are thoughtful about the storytelling and the racial politics of the storytelling might want to understand how that informs that storytelling, and I respect that and I hear that, and those things are not things we didn't think about or don't think about. The racist a--holes should go f--k themselves." 

We live in a world where race drives every decision in Hollywood casting, with Thomas Jane's character sabotaged by being told he was "too white" to star in a film with Sylvester Stallone by Joel Silver. We know are told, "The racist a--holes should go f--k themselves," if they find the casting of a black actor in an obviously white role.

The moral of the story: the gunslinger is white and The Dark Tower film with a black gunslinger is going to be a huge box office disappointment.

Woman Shot by "Stray Bullet" while in stands of St. Louis Cardinals game > Adam Jones being called the "n-word" by fans in Fenway Park

For an entire day, ESPN lectured white viewers on just how evil they are and how they must atone for the present and past if they wish to have a future. 

Despite no audio evidence to substantiate his claim of being called the dreaded "n-word", Adam Jones received apologies from the mayor of Boston, the Boston Red Sox organization and the commissioner of Major League Baseball. A tale of two headlines...

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Adam Jones signed a six-year, $85.5 million contract back in 2012 (all guaranteed money), but he can now use this incident as a way to lecture white Americans are the bias he faces as a multi-millionaire athlete...

Meanwhile, in St. Louis, a white patron of a Cardinals game was "grazed by a stray bullet" as she sat in the stands... "grazed by a stray bullet" being a polite way of saying shot. [Baseball fan grazed by stray bullet during Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, StlToday.com, 5-3-17]:

A woman was grazed in the arm by a stray bullet during Tuesday night’s Cardinals game inside Busch Stadium. 

... ESPN didn't spend two days expounding on this story as a way to lecture white people on their inherent racism

Police sources say there had been a call for shots fired near the 14th Street and Chouteau Avenue area moments before the woman was struck, and that the bullet may have come from someone shooting into the air. 

That intersection is less than a mile from Busch. 

St. Louis police said the woman, 34, was sitting in her seat in section 141 about 9:40 p.m. when she felt pain to her arm. She removed her jacket and noticed a small abrasion to her elbow. She went to the first aid station, and workers there contacted an off-duty police officer working a secondary security job there, police said. 

The victim could not be reached for comment. Her mother told the Post-Dispatch that the victim had retained an attorney and they had been advised not to speak to the media. 

Todd Porter, 54, of O’Fallon, Ill., was at the game with his 13-year-old son, Christopher, and was seated directly in front of the victim. She suddenly said, “Wow, I think I’ve been shot,” just as the eighth inning was coming to a close, Porter said. 

“We thought she was joking, but everybody turned around and she showed me the blood coming down from her elbow,” Porter said. “It looked real purple and red and it looked like there was a hole in her jacket.” 

The man who was sitting with the victim then said, “We need security, she’s been shot,” Porter recalled. 

Porter said the woman picked up the bullet slug from underneath her seat near the first base line. 

A bullet slug was found “in the immediate area around the victim’s seat,” according to police. They said it appeared the bullet came from outside the stadium. 

In a statement, the Cardinals confirmed the incident and said: “There is nothing more important than the safety of our fans, and the Cardinals are grateful that no one was seriously injured.” 

Porter said he hopes the woman is OK. 

“She was in shock,” Porter said. “We were all in shock. They were just sitting there like any other couple, laughing and giggling, and a little bit later is when that happened.” 

Porter said he and his son were sitting in seats 7, 8 or 9 in Section 141 when it happened, and “could have thrown a ball and hit first base.” His son sat in front of the victim. 

“It could very easily have hit him,” Porter said.

It was in 2015 when a white U.S. military veteran was attacked and paralyzed by a black male after he left a Cardinals game.  Virtually every suspect arrested in St. Louis in a fatal or nonfatal shooting is a black male, meaning it's quite obvious a black person fired their gun off and the bullet hit this white woman in the stands of the Cardinals.

She has received no apology from the mayor of St. Louis or from the St. Cardinals organization. ESPN didn't spend an entire day discussing the event as they did the Adam Jones incident in Boston. The commissioner of Major League Baseball has yet to comment on the matter.

Being called the "n-word" is somehow worse than being shot in a Major League Baseball stadium...

His Name is Harrison Brown: White University of Texas Student Murdered by Black Male Suffering "Mental Health Issues"

Obviously, the three white males and one Asian male stabbed by on the campus of the University of Texas yesterday were randomly selected, right?

Why else would a black male target white males, who make up roughly 1 of every 5 students on the campus?

In the heat of the attack, an Asian guy appears to white if the attacker doesn't see his face, right? 

> But the attacker had "mental issues" and had been committed before, so obviously the racial angle doesn't exist, right? 

It's been reported Kendrex White, the black male behind the mass stabbing attack, once participated in reenacting The French Revolution of San Domingo (as everyone remembers the black revolution in Haiti, where all white people were targeted for extinction). 

If any of this true - a racial element existing as the motive for White's targeting white males at the University of Texas - it won't matter, because "mental health issues" explain away the assault. 

Right?

A man killed one student and wounded three others on Monday at the University of Texas, walking calmly from one to another and stabbing them with a bowie knife, setting off panic and rumors of a larger wave of violence. 

The university police identified the suspect as Kendrex J. White, a 21-year-old student who was quickly arrested. Witnesses described the suspect as eerily composed during the episode near Gregory Gymnasium, and said that when he was confronted by police officers, he did not speak or appear to hurry. 

Rachel Prichett, 19, a student from Austin, said she was standing at a food truck when she heard screaming, turned and saw a man holding what looked like “a small machete” approaching her, “just walking calmly with the knife to his side.” 

The suspect walked behind a man a few feet away from her, then grasped the man’s shoulder with one hand and with the other hand stabbed him in the back, thrusting the knife “all the way in.” 

Ms. Prichett said she fled, running past another victim, his head bloody, who was slumped over a table. 

In recent weeks, fraternity houses at the university had been vandalized with messages accusing them of promoting racism and rape. Many people on campus speculated Monday that the knife attack was related. 

But Chief David Carter, of the University of Texas at Austin Police Department, said the authorities did not know of a motive for the stabbings. Speaking at a news conference, Chief Carter said that he was aware of the rumors but that he did not know if the victims, all men, were fraternity members. 

Mr. White is black. Chief Carter said the four who were stabbed, all age 20 or 21, included three white men and one Asian-American man. One died at the scene, and the others were taken to the university medical center. The authorities did not immediately release the victims’ names. 

School officials in Graham, Tex., identified the student who died as Harrison Brown, according to The Austin American-Statesman. 

“Harrison was an inspiration to everyone around him,” the school said in a Facebook post. “We were blessed and honored to have known him.” Mr. Brown was a 2016 graduate of Graham High School.

A white man named Brown is dead, murdered by a black man named White.

Though two other white males were stabbed on a campus where only one in five students is white male, we are supposed to believe the black male attacker targeted Brown and his fellow white males randomly, all because of "mental health issues."

His name is Harrison Brown, and he's yet another victim in a war whose aims aren't any different than the goals of The French Revolution in San Domingo.

In Less Than Eight Percent Black Madison, Wisconsin, Black Clergy Lament Basketball No Longer Stopping Black on Black Crime

What is the true percentage of a city's population that is black where the deleterious impact of this community will be felt (property valuations depreciate, crime rises, stores shutter, quality of public schools drop as more resources spent on security/police than text books, and budget deficits pile up as tax revenue dries up)?

Madison, Wisconsin is roughly 8 percent black (79 percent white) and famously one of the most liberal, tolerant cities in America. Even at such a small percentage of the population, blacks are arrested at 10 times the rate of whites in Madison (because they commit 10x the amount of crimes as white, not that beautiful black bodies are unfairly profiled by racist white police).

It's important to note even though Madison, Wisconsin's black population is just below eight percent black, basketball is still considered a panacea to black crime.

Unlike the eponymous evil creatures in Gremlins, you do want to feed black males after midnight if it involves a game of pickup basketball. [‘Black-on-black crime is getting out of control,’ Madison NAACP chief says, Belleville News Daily, 4-28-17]: 

 The president of the Madison chapter of the NAACP wants young people in urban areas to “stop the killings.”  

 Bishop John H. Williams, founder of New Shining Light Church in Venice and president of the Madison branch of the NAACP, said, “Nobody wins.”  

 Williams said community leaders have to listen to the young people. And, adults have to be accountable for their children. “Somebody needs to say and do something to bring the killings to an end,” he said. “Too many young men are dying before their time.  

The Madison branch of the NAACP is willing to reach out and meet with any and everybody to come up with a solution to stop the senseless violence,” said Williams.  

 Williams said: “Black lives seem not to matter to some of these young men.”  

 “Black-on-black crime is getting out of control. We want the young men to know we are willing to meet with them to come up with a solution because the problem is coming from them.” Williams said. Williams is calling for a community meeting between local leaders in Brooklyn, Venice and Madison and clergy.  

“We will come to Brooklyn, Venice or anywhere to meet. Every year violence strikes our little communities. These senseless killings must stop,” said Williams.  

 Williams said he has heard from the president of the Brooklyn Ministerial Alliance and he wants to set up a meeting. “I am waiting to hear back from him on a date and time of place. But, he is interested in having this meeting,” Williams said.  

Williams said in the past there were community group sports tournaments of Venice, Madison and Brooklyn. It brought the three communities together.  

“We need it back now,” Williams said. The teenagers, ranging in ages from 13-16 played together like family. “My team was known as the Untouchables.  

There was a basketball team four or five years ago called Madison, Lovejoy and Venice.  

They played against each other . It brought the communities together. I wish this could start up again to stop some of this violence,” Williams said. Ruby Glasper Johnson, secretary of the NAACP, said she has long been tired of the senseless killings. 

 She wants the warring individuals to put the guns down and come together on one accord. Johnson said more recreational things for the young people to do, more jobs, job training are all things that could help to deter the violence.  

She also said parents (adults) have to be accountable for their children. Williams said he believes most of the killings have been done by people who know each other some kind of way.  

He also said the government needs to step in and help the black community. The Rev. Scott Bunch Ivory said gone are the days of the fist fight.  

He said young people are carrying guns and shooting each other over senseless things. He wants an end to the violence and more community events to bring everyone together. And, Ivory wants some businesses in the communities.  

He said there are no stores or anything that people need in their community to take care of their daily needs as humans. “We have to go to Granite City to buy a hamburger,” he said.

Brooklyn, just outside Madison, is 95 percent white and 2 percent black.

Belleville, a suburb of Madison and where this story was published, is 96 percent white and just .3 percent black.

What is the true percentage of a city's population that is black where the deleterious impact of this community will be felt (property valuations depreciate, crime rises, stores shutter, quality of public schools drop as more resources spent on security/police than text books, and budget deficits pile up as tax revenue dries up)?

Looking at the story of blacks in Madison, Wisconsin and in the outlying suburbs, you can be the judge of this number... but don't forget your basketball!
